    My hairdresser is AMAZING....

she used to do the hair for vogue in paris .....

PM me if you'd like her details - she works from home now and is really reasonably priced and she flat out refuses to do something she thinks won't suit you

Oooh LimeSlice thankyou for posting that hairdresser! I have been looking for one in Melb's CBD for years!!! I would also NOT recommend Toni & Guy. The dresser there straightened out my wavy hair even though I told him not to and it was soooo noisey with thumping music and the person who washed my hair HURT!!! Not going back there... I felt too old... place is full of teenagers (so it seemed to me).

I love The Block Arcade... no thumping music! Definately going to go there soon! When I want my hair done I want to feel pampered and relaxed... not be a lump of playdough to be played with while the dresser bops around to music... sometimes it seems that it has to be all about them more than the customer doesn't it?

Well i want some where that Mum is going to be comfortable - that doesnt sound like something she would enjoy at all!

Will definatly avoid T&G... i am one of those people that doesnt really have time for my hair - and really couldnt be bothered and as such have never really gone and had a proper haircut or paid much for them!!! thats why i dont really know where to start

Neither do I SJ... I have my hair cut about twice a year. So when i want it done I am happy to pay a little more for a pleasant experience. I have tried quite a few places now local and in the city but the ambience never seems quite right... I guess i want more of a day spa kinda environment but all I seem to get is a night club one

You will know who I am talking about when you see her - last time she had a shaved head - she is stunning, about 28ish. Still cannot remember her name though lol
Ask for the girl who used to do Jeanny Goold's hair
She did mine just after charlotte was born - I felt like a new woman.

I can also recommend Arthur Knight in the CBD too - he's just upstairs from Andrew Geddes eyewear in Little Collins (just at the back of the Block).
