Has anyone had photorejuvenation? I think it is sometimes called a 'photofacial'....Or do you know someone who has, or do you work in the field?

I am seeing a plastic surgeon in a week or so. He is removing a skin cancer from my forehead. Last week, I asked him some questions about some dark pigmentation that I have on my face (brown spots, like largish freckles) and he gave me a brochure about photorejuvenation. He told me that the technology is called BBL Broadband Light. Everything sounds great in the brochure, minimal down time, minor discomfort, no heavy side effects. I have tried to search the web, but I am only finding positive info (from plastic surgeons mostly and some satisfied customers) or horror stories about laser burnings and botched IPL procedures. Is IPL the same as BBL? Or is BBL a newer technology, with less side effects?

Any info would be useful. Thanks.
