Oh that must be so upsetting have you rung the beautician and asked her advice?
I've had my lip done and it stayed red only for a few hours but I did put ice on it because it hurt like crazy. I hope it calms down for you and you can still go and have the great night out you deserve.
Soothe skin. Applying an after wax cooling product or aloe based gel to help soothe skin and help subdue the redness and inflammation after ridding hair and removing any wax residue. Tea bags brewed and then cooled placed on the eyes also helps after waxing the brows. Ice, an ice-pack or a bag of frozen vegetables assists in reducing inflammation.
Cover it up. So you have somewhere to go, and don't want everyone there to know you got waxed? Apply some mineral makeup, it's light on the skin and allows it to breathe more than liquid or cakey foundation and concealer.
Yep called the beautician and her answers was "oh well, you can always cover it up with makeup". Grrr last time I'll be using them. They knew my concern, I just think it's wrong to advise people that it's ok to wax such a sensitive area for the first time so close to a special event....Should have done my research
Ice has settled it a bit, still a few hours to go so fingers crossed it'll look ok. If not, I'm sure some spakfilla will do the trick or I'll hit the champers early and forget all about it!
