Looks great and you know what? You can always get the back shorter and more angled if you still want to

oooooo, that looks nice! One thing about the angle is u'd need to get it trimmed more often so that's a thing to remember. Looks like it'd be easy to style too.

I have dreadlocks right now because hair is sooooo damaged. I think you've given me a kick up the rear to get a cut!

Trish - Oooh, cut it, cut it!! LOL
I want to, but I'm scared LOL! I've had long hair forever, I'm scared it won't suit me, I feel ugly enough as it is

    Thanks for the feedback!

Well i woke up this morning and it pretty much fell in to shape! because my hair is wavy it has a bit more volume so i'm happy with it. Very low maintenance.

I think i will get it more angled next time though.

Trish thats how i felt when i first went from long to short a few years ago, but i just figured its only hair and it will grow back. DO IT DO IT! I think your face could pull any style off

I agree Trish, I think it'd really suit you

Might just be the pick me up you need.

Okay it's been a few days now and i'm not really liking how it sits if i don't scrunch it up - don't have time to straighten it every day.

DO you think they would charge me for a full hair cut if i went back and said i want it more angled? I think if she took off a bit more weight by angling it, that it would sit better, if you get what i mean?

what should i do? or should i just go somewhere else? because i did tell her i liked it at the time.

Nah, i think you're allowed to change your mind. Can you pop in ask how much for a little more off? Surely they wouldn't charge the full amount? That would be better than starting over somewhere else and paying the full amount..... You could also ask them to leave it dry naturally, no charge for blow wave then.

I think it looks great btw.

This exact thing happened to a friend of mine. I recommended she go to my salon, I've been going there for about 7 years now. But she didn't book in with my stylist, someone new who I wouldn't actually recommend. She cuts my DS's hair (which is long and very curly) perfectly but I wouldn't let her touch mine!

Anyway, my friend wasn't happy with the cut for the exact same reason as you - she rang them the next day and she went back in and they fixed it free of charge. It made SUCH a difference.

ewww, i need a cut. I raked my fingers through my hair and 3 inches broke off but it was a CLUMP! Time to bite the bullet and find a hairdresser I think.

I ended up getting it re-cut somewhere else... i just didn't feel comfortable going back to the same place. So its shorter and more angled. I love it now, i can wear it straight or scrunch it with mousse and because my hair is wavy it holds the curls well.

Trish are you still thinking of getting a haircut?

It looks so good! I'm glad you are happy with it now

Yes, I still want to chop it all off. You have definitely helped inspire me!! I might book in for Saturday week. I'm kinda scared though!! I also worry about my hair colour, it goes quite blonde in the summer, but darkens over winter. If I get it cut it will definitely look darker which I'm not sure will look that good on me? I don't want to get it coloured too, I'm hopeless at upkeeping my hair and don't want to walk around with re-growth LOL! Hmm...so much to think about .

I wish there was a website where you could cut and paste your head into different hairstyles .

There is an american site but can't remember what it's called

I think you should definitely do it. I am super confident it will look great on you! Don't worry about the colour too much, you can always change that later (a few foils would lighten it up and they aren't much maintenance at all).

Love the hair, it looks hot.

If you google virtual hairstyler you'll find there are lots, some are free some you pay for. Trish i agree, you would look great with a short do.

    Thanks

Trish, when i first got this style a few years ago, i cut out a picture of my face and victoria beckams face in a magazine (she had the style then) and put my face there LOL to sort of see how it would look (the pics have to be the same proportions obviously) and thats what convinced me because it did suit my shape. So maybe you could try that? I say if you're nervous, which i was too, maybe go for a long bob, which is shoulder length or lower but still the concave shape... that way its not too much off but still a change?

With the colouring, i love my hair blonde, ash blonde actually, it really suits me. But its just too expensive to maintain. I like my foils done really finely but a lot of them (i don't like the stripey chunky look), so its mostly the higher end salons that will take the time to do it that way, and it was costing me about $200 just to maintain it. So every 2 months or so. For some reason in the past 5 years salons have started charging for blow dries which used to be free, they're now about $40 which is a bit rediculous because it doesn't take them long and you'd assume its part of styling the cut. So when i got my hair re-cut on the weekend, i opted not to get the blow dry just to save money since the first time it cost me $90. I had to leave and walk through the shops with wet hair but i went straight home. My hair is almost its natural colour again, light brown, but still has some red in it from when i went through a red phase, and thats really hard to get out! I'd like to go blonde again but even a cm of re-growth annoys me!

I do the same thing! Never get my hairdresser to bly dry my hair. 99% of the time I am going straight home anyway so what's the point? And imagine how much money that saves you even over a year?! I actually don't like the way my hairdresser blow dries my hair. Cutting, colouring great, but when she blow dries my hair I am never happy with it. It always ends up really flat and straight and boring and I don't like it like that. I like lots of volume and a bit of body.

Sorry to hijack your thread Tan! Been thinking a lot about hair lately cause I have been so sick of mine for a while but didn't konw what else to do with it so I am growing it and seeing how I feel about having it long again for the first time in about 10 years. Every day I want to go and get it cut off! But so far, I haven't done it. I have two weddings coming up which are going to be the test because it would be so much easier to just go and get it cut and coloured than to try and make it look decent at this length with a half grown out fringe (and it was a very full fringe so it's noticeable unless I pin it back).
