OK so I am taking some time to look after me and thought I might tame the wild forrest down bellow. Have tried shaving and got a horrible shavers rash. Used to use those creams but now I'm not really into applying too many chemicals to my skin which leave me with waxing...
But I have never waxed before. I am too scared to to it myself - not sure I could follow through with the ripping off part so want to go to a beautican but i have never been before and have some questions.
What do you wear? Do you get to keep your nickers on?
Should I try and clip/trim considering it is all al la natural???
How long does it take?
And of course ... how much does it honestly hurt?
i love a shaven haven (well only mine - not anyone elses if thats how it reads ) have have been having a brazillain for about 8 yrs , if its just a bikini then they give you paper undies to wear and its less exposure , but dont feel weird .. they wax coochies all day .. i just used to freshen up with a baby wipe befre i went in and layed back and thought about anything but ... also pop a few nurofen and it should dull the pain ,..... because it might hurt a but
now days i use a cream i bought off ebay and slather it on and walk around nude then shower it off then im done , and it really does work well , not ingrowns , no pain and not much of a smell from the cream . and when ever i get bushy again i just go to the bathroom and do it again , cheap less than 20 bucks inc post !! reccomend it to anyone !!
i also have a pussy shaver from th shaver shop . about $160 gets you something that looks like a lint shaver and you shave down there with it ... pretty good aswell ,. noice and smooth ...
waxing does hurt ... and after alot of waxes i was over the pain , so i swicted to the other metods .. i would reccomed waxing it at home .. will hurt a hell of a lot more that at the salon !

GULP - I am thinking now I might whimp out and go back to the cream - not really up for it hurting a lot and if I try and home I'll just end up walking around with a big wax stip on I'm too afraid to pull off
I loooove wax ><;; I have a proper wax pot at home and do it myself now, only because I wanted to have, uhm, a little more removed but didn't want someone that close to my bits. Honestly I don't think it's much different to waxing your eyebrows painwise, you just have to make sure you're holding your skin taunt and ripping it off at the right angles.
I also find the more often you regularly do it the finer (and softer) the hairs start to grow back, and then they rip out easier and alot quicker.
As for how they are done, it depends how much you want off ><;; I have gone in before and they have let me leave my own nicks on but just pull them a bit to the side a bit. They also give you a towel to cover the rest of yourself up, and the leave to let you dress and undress/get the towel covering happening etc etc
I hiiiiiighly recommend a good wax, I wouldn't and don't do anything else. Once it's done it's the best feeling ever - as far as hair free smooth skin goes
Teagz - thanks, did wax my eyebrows when I was 15 but prefer to pluck. decisions decisons. How long does it take - is it like over in a few minutes or are we looking at 15-20 min of torture?????
