Smile Looking for a really 'yummy' bodywash..any ideas?

    Hey guys

I'm on the hunt for a really yummy smelling/feeling bodywash that I can take to hossy with me when bub is born..Does anyone have any ideas? (Not too expensive either because we don't have much money ).
I think after going through labour a woman deserves to be pampered!! (especially with that first shower you have after delivery when you're feeling icky and sore).

I must admit I'm not a huge fan of the bodyshop ones. Allthough they are ok, when I read the ingredients they seem full of a fair few chemicals. But go ahead and make any suggestions- that would be great!!!!

    Thanks heaps

I am after the same thing! I was given a bottle of avon vanilla and soy body wash/shower gel and have never used it, so am going to take that with me when I go. Unless I find something better.

I looked through heaps of body washes at the supermarket the other day (much to Steph's dislike, she was most unhappy because I took so long!), and they all seem to have the same chemicals in them, and that sodium laureth sulphate stuff, which I think is a carcinogen? But, having said that, I don't see any wash or shampoo that *doesn't* have it in it. Even if the label does say 'natural'. Yeah right. Natural my butt!

Can you get the body shop strawberry wash without the ground up shell in it? I used to love it years ago, and then they changed it to having walnut shell in it or something. I love their body butter too, I have a tub that I'm taking. One of the nut ones.... (haven't used it for ages )

Sunflower Body Wash is divine... and organic and gentle on your skin, it wont irritate your or bubs skin like other chemical filled / highly fragranced products. You can buy a cheap sample from the BB online store All the Miessence products come with a money back guarantee anyway

A friend gave me a gift which is the best smelling stuff I have ever seen in body wash form. It has shower gel, body souffle... mmmmmm.

I have walnut body scrub, avocado & shea body butter, lotus & bamboo foaming scrub, moisture rich body souffle. It's sooooooooooo good.

Avon soy and vanilla. Cheap as chips, about $5, lasts forever and smells so nice

Netix, you can get Strawberry Shower Gel, thats what you want! I ran to the hospy in labour with DD and one hand clutching my strawberry body butter!!

Lee, TBS is pretty good with low additives, the ingredients list has all the chemical names so it sounds worse than it is. Really - go for it!

I got the strawberry one when I had DD...mm mmm. It does smell scrumptious doesn't it!
    Thanks for the suggestions guys!
    Cookiemonster- what a beautiful gift!
Lulu- I was similar when I was in labour!..I literally could not wait for it all to be over so I could have a shower and use the strawberry body wash I had been saving for the birth!

I did get a little sample of the Miessence one kelly mentioned, and that's pretty nice..BUT what I discovered which was even better was the Miessence Tropicana Body Milk. Not a bodywash, but far out it is the most scrummy body lotion!! Definitely worth trying..yumm

I bought a new one a couple of weeks ago it's called "Love my Body" - and it is black vanilla and coconut. It is toxic free (just to add the body shop have SLS which is toxic) and smells divine - nice and safe and about $15 for 300mls. It's a new favourite for me..

Thanks LuLu. I'm now trying to decide between the strawberry and avon's vanilla. I always (but haven't for ages I just realised!) use vanilla stuff (my favourite scent, as opposed to other smelling things, iykwim), including perfume/body spray so maybe the strawberry would be a bit more special..... mmmm, yummy...

Ooh, some of those suggestions sound delicious, I'll have to give them a try. I'm a sucker for coconut, vanilla, and cherry scented body products and I picked up a couple of Cussons body washes from Woolies the other day when I was doing the groceries. They were much cheaper than some of the other ones they carry (I think I paid $2.99 each) and one was called 'Japanese Spa' - green tea, jasmine and rice milk, and the other was called 'Little Treat' - cherry blossom and vanilla.
I can't decide which one I like better, they both smell great and are lovely, creamy washes that feel really nice on the skin. Plus, they're quite small bottles so if you're looking to save space in your shower/toiletries bag I'd recommend them.
