    Mineral Makeup?

    Hi there
Just wondering if anyone uses mineral foundation like thin lizzy or sheer cover?
Or even the loreal / maybelline ones?
    Is it any good?
I'm thinking about getting some but wanted to get some advice before purchasing.
I'm sick of my normal foundation, by the end of the day it looks awful and my face is all shiny, does mineral makeup still do this?
Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi
I'm using 'Young Blood' which is a mineral foundation and love it...I'm pretty oily so need to touch up at lunchtime...but skin feels great...when I swapped over I had it applied for me after a facial and then again the next week to see if I liked it...all good!

In my experience from what I have tried thin Lizzy is crap, sheer cover is great and my favourite Jane Iredale mineral makeup is awesome!!! Hope that helps!
Andno mineral makeup does not make your face shiny like an oil makeup does

I use that sheercover stuff and I think its great!! Can match my own skintone. I have found that it reduces the amount of shine that I get but I still look shinier around lunch. But I think this stuff is just so easy to apply. I have a brush that I take to work with me and if I need it I just do a quick touch up.

Is Sheer Cover the one that Alyssa Milano advertises? I've been thinking about trying it too.

I think the Maybelline range got top marks on Oprah yesterday. I think I'll give it a try.

I use I.D bare minerals! Its totally natural no artificial stuff. Its quite expensive though. But it looks and feels fantastic! You can get it on ebay too and i think its a bit cheaper!

    Good luck x

I want to try it too! I like just a basic small amount of foundation then I use bronzer over the top but it looks really nice and like it evens out all skin tone. I might try the Maybelline or something too Lulu.

Natio has a new mineral range as well- has anyone tried that one as they are always reasonably priced?

Try everydayminerals.com - they have a free trial package where you only pay for the postage. It's American, but awesome, I'm addicted to Everyday Minerals! I've really noticed an amazing change in my skin since I started using mineral makeup as it's all natural with no added oils or talcs. They've got beautiful colours in their blushes & eyeshadows too.

Here's the link for the free sample package:

    Enjoy!

I just wanted to say ive just purchased my first mineral brand makeup (Pur Minerals, bought off the shopping channel - $44.50 for 2 x foundations). I cannot believe the coverage i get, the flawless finish and the 30secs it takes to put my makeup on. I would recommend it to all my girlfriends, seriously i would. Its now my Dh whom takes the longest to get ready - makeup is done in 2 mins with mineral make up !!!!

I use I.D bare minerals too. Lasts for ages - I think around 6 months and I use it pretty much every day.

I find I have to use a creamy foundation in winter though because my skin gets a bit dry from using the powder.

I have to tell you all about the mineral makeup I found. If you like sheercover you will love this!! lol, I sound like I sell the stuff.

Anyways, I found it at a little stall in a shopping centre when in Newcastle but you order it online (just put dot com dot au after the name of it). It's called pure cover. Anyway, the person selling it said that other mineral make-up brands you can buy in shops don't have to say what is in it so it can have like 1 mineral and the rest bad stuff. Even sheer cover contains bismuth which is what they use now in makeup instead of talc since they discovered that was bad. But they have since discovered bismuth is even worse. Anyway, pure cover has exactly the same ingredients as sheer cover but is bismuth free. AND the best part you get twice as much for half the price!! Yes, I'm serious!! lol. I used to get sheer cover which was $40 for one thing and this is only $20 and I checked the package and there is twice as much in pure cover (I think 8g compared to 4g or something).
I find that it gives me even better coverage than sheer cover and stays on a lot longer. And when you order it online it's only $6 for postage no matter how many you get.

Anyway, just had to tell everyone because it's awesome!! lol

Livinia is an awesome mineral make-up that also doesn't use bismuth and is 100% organic. It's like Mac (colurs and coverage) but it's mineral. I love it!!
