OK, probably revealing the bogan in me but I want to buy a really good quality pair of uggs. Would prefer to buy them online unless someone knows somewhere IRL I can get them (Sydney).
I live in mine in winter and am sick of buying cheap pairs from Target that only last a winter or two.
I'd prefer Australian made (so not the Ugg Australia brand that's American owned and made mostly in China apparently ) and have come accross a few sites but hoping for a recommendation??
sorry can't help with really good quality ones online, my DH has had some for years but I'm not sure where from. But as for good comfy warm ones, I just got a pair last week from Cotton On.......they are long tie up ones that come up almost to my knees!!! love them, sooooo warm. But prob no better quality than targets.
try Emu brand they are a geelong company and I am sure you will find an online stockist....hubby sells them at his store and they have an awesome reputation...I love mine!
Thanks Mel! Considering your DH sells them, do you know about sizing? Is it true that you should get a size smaller than you normally would because they stretch? I think this is the mistake I made last time. (just noticed your ticker - CONGRATULATIONS!!! )
DH and I both brought a pair in Cootamundra (country NSW) years ago from a sheepskin/wool store - I brought the long lace up ones and spent well over $100 but I got them too big and could never wear them so gave them away. DH STILL has the same pair and they are still in great condition. The pair I got last year from Target have a hole in the toe and a tear where it meets the sole
Hubby says they are fairly true to size...the sheepskin fluff can compress a bit but generally not too bad......for example i wear 6 and a half in a shoe but got a six in an emu cos they only do full sizes......I think a full size smaller may have been too small...half a size was okay though......
The Man took me past a place, I think near the Blue Mtns that did all skin stuff, but I can't remember what they are called or if they are still there.
Netix, there are a few places in the mountains but I'm too prg to go for a drive up there and then not find what I want...even though it's only probably 30mins away!
Willow - such a bogan I need a new pair (sshhhh - the REALLY west part of me is coming out) and we are heading away for a few days in the next week or so. Lucknow has a skin shop and sell them (near Orange) and near the IL's so I will check out their stock if you haven't found anything before then. Size?? Style??
I have been told moon boots are really good.. (if thats the name)
I buy from Kmart lol because I don't often get cold feet.. Dh got his 12 years ago from the local feedbarn place here and while they need replacing they will last him another winter yet
google ugg boots faulconbridge. They sell online as well. They say they're Australian made & owned. I got mine there a good 4 or 5 years ago and they're still going strong! The inside hasn't worn away or anything, and I live in mine in winter too. Not cheap, but they last.
Michelle - cool, I'll let you know and even email you a pic of what I want if I don't find any.
LIz - thanks, I'm going to google them now. Don't care if they're not cheap, I'm happy to pay for them if they're going to last. Sick of wasting money on the cheaper ones.

Willow, there is a tiny little shop in Brighton Le Sands that makes and sells ugg boats. they buy their sheepskin wholesale and have a 'no frills' little shop, so their boots are very cheap. SIL has a pair that have been going for five years now.
If you can give me a day or two, I'll ask SIL and get the details for you? I can't remember the name or address!
There's a few places on the coast that sell really really good quality ones. Like, awesome ones. Which is funny cos there is really only a few months during the year that you can wear them.. LOL
