I have found the target ones do last well, especially the character ones. Out of all the pairs we have had, only a couple have had the elastic detach.
Big W, found you need to pay more. The ones with the thick band of elastic are working quite well at the moment, and the ones where the elastic is encased in the hem. The ones with the thin stip of hat elastic are just rubbish.

As much as I hate teh character stuff and avoid it as much as possible, they do seem to last the longest here. Will have to check out the netball ones for next year Nai - Iz will want to weawr dresses and is always doing cartwheels, handstands and hanging off monkey bars!

And they last a long time too. She has been wearing them for 2 years, I rotate 3-4 pairs and they are still in perfect condition.
