1. How old are you (if you don't mind sharing)? I'm 32 , turning 33 in March
2. How do you feel about getting older? In regards to my skin, meh, what can you do? I should've smoked less, stressed less, then maybe I wouldn't look the way I do now, lol.
3. Have you noticed your face starting to age? When did you start noticing? yes, mainly after DS birth, my skin had a horrible hormonal breakout just after his birth but was so, so, so dry and itchy! my eyes are getting so many fine lines, my frown lines and browcrease don't ever really go away now, I also have a small dent crease thing from fake smiling at work all the time (I dont get it when I really smile!)
4. Do you have a specific skin care routine? If so, does that change as you age? I have used ponds cleanser and oil of ulan (back in the day!) since I was 14-about 20...when the olay 7 + came out I started using that. went thruogh a stage of only using olive oil soap and rosehip/macadamia oil on my face but didnt see any marked improvement.
From the age of 28 I have been using clinique turnaround mask once a week/month (when I remember) a scrub in the shower and still on the look out for a fave cleanser. (I chop and chane depending on my skin at the time, I currently have 3 on the go)
Tried out the olay regenerist cream, made my skin look wonderful! looked like I had makeup on! lol, but so exxy I cant afford it all the time.
Have just recently treated myself to clinique turnaround serum, I love it! love it! will definitely be going back for more of that (when its on special anyways!)
my skin feels baby smooth and my fine lines actually seem to be minimising...
1. How old are you? I'm 39 turning the BIG 4 0 in February
2. How do you feel about getting older? It's just part of life to me although I get told that I don't look my age. My body is starting to tell me though that I'm getting older, my aches and pains and creaky bones
3. Have you noticed your face starting to age? When did you start noticing? Yep more wrinkles around my eyes, but so far everything else seems to still be defying gravity, for how much longer who knows.
4. Do you have a specific skin care routine? If so, does that change as you age? I use everyday when I have a shower Garnier face wash as I still have oily skin and am prone to break outs so need something that feels like my face is getting a good clean. Apart from that I use foundation with SPF in it when I go out but I don't use any type of moisturisers at all as it feels like my face is all clogged up and can't breathe if I do. I also will use sudocrem when I get pimples to help dry them out but that's all.
2. How do you feel about getting older? Sometimes I wish I could be a fresh-faced 20-something again, but then if I was back in my 20s I'd be back in the days of proving myself professionally, finding my other half, wondering if I'd have children, be sufficiently self-aware enough to not stand up for myself and what I believe in. At 40 I'm proud to say I've achieved what I wanted, when I wanted, can stand up for myself and I'm in good health, so hopefully I've got another happy and healthy 40+ years to look forward to! Probably the only "negative" I'm conscious of is that, being an older mum, I want to be as fit and healthy as I can be in order to live as long as possible to see my kids have kids (hopefully!).
3. Have you noticed your face starting to age? When did you start noticing? Yes, to me my skin no longer has that "fresh" look about it, but I'm happy to report that (thanks to having had an oil-prone skin all these years), I don't have any wrinkles Apparently some were surprised I was turning 40, so apparently I don't look it (instead I'll look 39 forever LOL).
4. Do you have a specific skin care routine? If so, does that change as you age? No, for me it's stayed the same for the past 20-odd years. Cleanse at night, occasional exfoliant, and sometimes moisturise at night, plus moisturiser with inbuilt SPF every day. I wear a hat if I'm out in the sun for any length of time (I'm more conscious of that nowdays). I love having a proper facial, and pre-kids I'd have regular facials but these days I'm lucky if I get one or two a year (more's the pity ...).
