Tell me what you know about botox..

So I want to get botox, but I'm not sure if I can afford to keep getting it done. If you have had it can you tell me:

    1. Why did you get it?
    2. Did it make a noticeable difference, or could only you notice?
    3. How often did you get it done?
    4. How much did you pay?

If I could afford it, I'd get forehead and eyes done, but since it's by the unit, I'd probably just get my eyes done. Does it help actually under the eyes or just crows feet?

I get my frown lines done because I am an angry person. And other parts of my head because I may as well since I'm there.
I used to get a plastic surgeon to do it for about $300 a visit but now I see my boric lady for half that.
I can see the difference but if you don't know you don't notice my foverhead is frozen. DH has never noticed lol.
I get it done between 3 to 6 months apart depending on my schedule and when Holly has a special. She usually gets me to make faces and puts it where she thinks I need it.

3-6 monthly isn't too bad! I thought it had to be redone every 8 weeks or something.. Shows how much I know! Thanks for that info!

Tell me what you know about botox..

No Botox doesn't hurt. It's tiny needles like acupunture needles.
I get it done once per year now for maintenance purposes! I am overdue now.
I say go for it and if you love it keep it up if you don't then you don't have to keep doing it

thanks Joeve! i'm a big chicken for needles but my vanity is slowly eroding that fear

it's mainly fine lines around eyes when i smile - do they do that area or only forehead frowns etc?

    1. Why did you get it? I was a guinea pig for my GP
    2. Did it make a noticeable difference, or could only you notice? oh yes! I always looked fresh and happy. Ppl asked why I was so happy!
    3. How often did you get it done? Only once, cos it was free
    4. How much did you pay? Just a sincere thank you

It lasted a while, and if I won the lotto i'd do it again!

what do i know about Botox, i have known children with celebral palsy, who get 8 injections in each calve muscle, every six months, to enable them to walk/move a bit better - relaxes their overly stiff muscles. After some time, it stops having an effect, so they stop that treatment and try something else.

Spot on Gigi- its original purpose was to release muscle contractures.
It has developed cosmetically now too. I would love to be able to afford it, but scared I might have an adverse reaction or something like that.

It does hurt but not as much as waxing and it's over pretty quickly.
