I'm in! My legs have been neglected for a long time.... I think they are hairier than DH's .

I turn up to work most mornings looking like I've been dragged through a hedge backwards (this morning I'm sporting a lovely splodge of breakfast - courtesy of my LO - down my leg).

At this rate I seriously couldn't consider summer and swimmers as I think I need some heavy duty waxing - wonder what it looks like under all that fuzz???

This weekend I'm going to go through my wardrobe and do some chucking out!

Thanks Stacey - I needed this!!!!

ps: I did buy myself a silver cross dazzle and must admit that although I was wearing my holey old grey trackies at Coles last Sunday I still felt I was channelling my inner-celeb! Brahahahahaha!!!!!

maybe i'm the only one, but i find the actual term "MILF" - really offensive.

i would like to take care with my appearance (if only i knew what to do), i'd like a special someone to desire me, but if i got dressed up, and was referred to as a MILF, i would be so upset.

I bought a hair straightener late last year, so i could straighten my hair and look presentable when i'm out in public with my DD, i don't want her to be ashamed of me, straight hair doesn't suit everyone, i don't think it suits me, and i can't work out anything else to do with my hair, not that i think i used the straightener correctly anyhow.

Despite buying heaps of anti-frizz treatments, i can't keep the flyaways under control. It was so easy when i was younger, i just washed and dried my hair, after brushing, i had gorgeous waves, NOW i understand the phrase "your crowning glory", cos up to a few years ago, i had that. Now it's gone, i need to work at it, after decades of never needing to use a hairdrier to style my hair, i have no clue what to do. Even after "making an effort", don't end up with a good look. My confidence is gone, and i'm sick of buying products blind.

it would be so nice to be able to trade my maternity bras in, for non-maternity bras (i've been wearing them since Autumn 2006). i can opshop clothing, but not underwear.

This is great! I try and make an effort with my appearance. usually when i am going into town i will wear jeans, a nice singlet and a cardi. I will straighten my hair put in dangly earrings, paint my nails, do my makeup. And put on some perfume. But recently and when im pregnant its trackies hair up in a messy ponytail no make up. Dont care at all!

But im thinking about when i get my tax back splashing out and getting my hair cut and dyed, new clothes, might get my eyebrows waxed, eyelashes tinted (its cheap and makes such a difference)

After having my third and final kid, I lost the excess baby weight, I sold my maternity and larger sized clothes on eBay - I found that was cleansing in itself!

I hired a stylist to teach me how to shop properly for my lifestyle, colorings and body shape. Now that was a massive treat - but I deserved it!

Got a fashion hair cut and colour, and now everyday I feel great!

I also updated the under garments too - good styling starts with the architecture underneath!

I want to try and straighten my hair each day. It's thick and wavy, but not a nice wave, so if I straighten it, it looks okay. And I'm planning to colour it next week

I want to layby myself some new clothes and throw away the frumpy stuff.

I want to wear nice shoes. So I guess I better buy them! LOL

And another here for not-so-new undies. I realised that my "new" undies were bought in 2007 and I still haven't done anything about it. But that's the joys of single income isn't it? Splashed out on a $300 layby for DD the other day. Nothing for me

I so belong in this thread!
I read a bit before I whet out this morning...I brought myself 2 hair dyes to finally give my hair a lift, new tweezers (finally give my eyebrows a pluck) and a new (on sale ) pair of shoes and top.
It has really lifted my spirits
Thank you Feijoa mum for starting it!

Yes thanks FM for a good thread. I imagine us all glamming up and it makes me happy

I got my hair done, and bought new shampoo, conditioner and hair treatment from the salon too.

I know I need to start to do something, but I wouldn't know where to start!
I don't own makeup and don't really get to go out unless it's to work

I've got the weekend off, so I might just straighten my hair, you know, for the hell of it

    wow check you all out!!!

This is awesome, what an inspiration we all are for each other and most importantly accountable too.
I for one am a shocker for starting off with a hiss and a roar only to fizzle out the very next day so this time with all of us here I cannot and will not do that this time.

Dark dreamer - its about the little things - like my new kmart undies and full body moisturise. Doesnt cost alot but that time spent on myself is priceless. Straightened hair always makes me feel a bit glam so thats a great place to start.
Tellytubby - I use a cheap Aldi eye cream and the $14 oil of olay with sunscreen. My mum is completely anal about her face so that is one habit I got from her. (minus the anal part )
RB and Mzwan its amazing what a difference something little like nice shaped and plucked eyebrows will do for a girl. I did mine this afternoon and wonder why I dont do it more often???
Rhichichi I dont mind shoving. As long as you can shove back if I start to fall.

PZ sooooooooo jealous! I honestly cant remember the last time I had my hair coloured at the salon. I bet you look and feel a million bucks. You deserve it!

I really do want some fancy flash suck me in and push me up undies Leesa and being a huge Trinny and Suze/Gok fan I know the merits of them. Right stop talking about it Stacey and do it!!

Awesome way of thinking Kim. I do love when DH comes home and gives me an admiring glance (not the im horny and i'd tap that, one) a true "hmmmm thats MY mrs look." And your right it is about me not everyone else. I am constantly comparing myself to other women and feeling pretty low about it. I want to be the one that they compare themselves too instead!

Fantastic start ladies. Lets throw our heads high shoulders back and flash our (two) beautiful eyebrows and killer smiles and be proud of ourselves.

    Yay! Great thread!

I am guilty of being a slob. DD is always in a perfect outfit, hair conditioned and styled and wearing matching accessories. Then I come trodlolloping behind her wearing the same clothes I wore yesterday (and to bed sometimes shame)

I am going to make myself an appointment to get my wookie hair fixed... And TRY and wear at least clean clothes!!

I remember reading once that Bec Hewitt said just put lipstick on in the morning and you will feel better all day. Man... Unless they make a lipstick that washes your hair, shaves your legs and removes the bags from under your eyes... I may need a little more!!!

I am trying to get better with presentation. Work is kind helping, as it gets me dressed and sometimes putting makeup on. Been good for awhile now with getting my brows and lip waxed, along with a semi regular haircut.

Struggling with clothes at the moment. Have more money coming in now and have decided to buy more quality pieces, some items I bought last year are just looking rubbish this year. Having some trouble deciding my style and of course finding nice clothing items that fit my style.

Through the winter months I use a hydration moisturiser - it goes on thicker yet it doesn't feel heavy on the skin. I use jurlique .

Love this thread! I do the basics, buy cheap clothes and make up - so although I do make an effort for work and going out, it's a pretty half a$$ed one with Kmart clothes and make up that is a bit blergh. Not saying there is anything wrong with cheap clothes but sometimes it is nice to splurge on something NICE! I can't remember the last time I spent more than $30 on an item of clothing for myself. I am wearing brown boots that I love that are from Target a few seasons ago but they have holes in them now - I can't justify $$$ for new leather ones and can't find any that I like at cheaper stores. BLah blah blah - sorry for the vent - today I am going to moisturise after my shower, shave my pits and legs, wax my eyebrows while the kids sleep and might even straighten my hair!
Thanks for the kick up the patoootie!

    Loving this thread!
I try to make an effort by not leaving the house in tracksuit pants- which is so easy to do.
Ever since the makeup thread from the other week, I've also been experimenting with my makeup.
Since having DD, I've slowly chunked up a heap :-( so it takes me about 5 outfit selections in the morning to find something I feel confident in!

Tanstar- I found great boots on eBay and FB... also NOvo have some on sale nearly half price!
Dam netball makes by calf so big, that I rarely find boots that fit :-(((
