My DD1 dyed her hair & removed the hair on her legs for the first time in the days leading up to her year 6 farewell, so she was 12. It was almost a rite of passage for her; she was leaving the primary school girl behind. She didn't do a permanent hair dye however, just a semi permanent that has now faded.
