I bought it on my birthday which was also the day my baby had emergency surgery at 3 weeks old. We left the hospital while he was in surgery and went shopping to try and keep our minds of him. I dread having to upgrade as it has sentimental value
I have a boring tan one ... billabong .. with WAY to little space for me and my love for plastic cards. (credit, membershipcards, vouchers) Not that I love using them, just feel so grown-up with all them peeking at me when I open the wallet But DH picked it, so I'll use it till it breaks and get myself a HUGE one after that!!
I am thinking about getting a HUUUUGEEEEEE shocking pink one ... or lime green ... or sea-blue ... or firecraker red ... EEEEEEEEKKKKKK
*running to go open and close that darn metal zip till it breaks - wish me luck*
Mine is boring tan. But I love it, it is only small but has HEAPS of room. You can fit a heaps of cards in it, and has two separate coin compartments and two cash compartments....and it was only $5 from an op-shop. I use it way more than my $120 jag wallet, LOL.
Nadine ... me just think i heard a zipper break ... crrrrrr ...there it goes again ... I saw in Myers yesterday a Guess one in watermelon you might like (it's bright) ??? and also a really bright green ... Myer have 30% off purses (though not much left in the Ballarat's small Myers)
Marls ... Mine too cost $5, thankfully DP's work had a massive brands sale & he picked it for me Reminds me the best sunnies i ever had were $1 my local Op shop
Mine is red leather - it is unusual as it has a woven effect on one side. It zips all the way around so nothing can ever fall out - it is lovely I bought it at a boutique and I haven't seen any others around.
I have a red leather barrel bag that I bought at the same time as said purse - it's easy and always looks nice. I can sling it over my shoulder diagonally so it doesn't slip off my shoulder - I find it irritating when they slip off...
I also have a black fossil satchel type that I love also - I alternate between the two...
A Green wallet is said to be good feng shui for attracting money....
I used to have a gorgeous pink JAG one, but it wore out and I desperately wanted to get another one the same, but I couldn't fine one anywhere so had to settle for a red jag one, but I love it just as much as the pink one.
For the last few years I've had a red one embossed with butterflies, bettles etc. LOVED it. But it died a few months ago and I got sick of diving for coins in my handbag.
So I went to DJs a few weeks ago and used an old gift voucher from work to buy a new one - it's an Olga Berg, brown with embroidered flowers on the front. Don't love it as much as my last one but it is a lot bigger and the coin section is at the back on the outside so I'm not forever having to open the whole thing up to get to my money which I love.
Dark tan Jag purse here. Tend to go for internal layout, took me ages to find one that I was happy with. I do look at the more colourful ones now, but really struggle to find one that I would be practical for me.
I do the same as Astrid: look for internal layout as a priority... then the quality of the fasteners... then the colour etc. I have no loyalty to brand. Colorado makes good quality things though... didn't know they made purses/wallets I shoud check them out. French clasps sound interesting... I might Google that too. I have also heard that about green wallets/purses too Deb: good Feng Shui. I used to have a green wallet... but I left it on a bus! Chock a block with money... so that wasn't very lucky though!!! For ages after that I didn't carry around my cards unless I needed them each day (it was soooo arduous replacing and cancelling them all)... but slowly over the years I have gone back to having a fully stocked wallet.
I have had a burgundy oroton one (got stolen when my handbag was stolen...grr), then a green colorado one which lasted ages, then a brown rip curl one which is still good but not enough pockets in it. Hubby bought me a pinkone just recently which is awesome, heaps of slots and big coin area.
