What do you have/want for this summer's wardrobe?

What are you liking for this summer's fashion? What have you got and what do you plan to get?

    So far i've bought:

    Yellow & grey smock dress
    Gold Roman sandals
Josh Goot Racer-back dress (in royal blue)
Josh Goot Racer back top & skirt (in bright green)
Brown leather wedges with wooden wedge
Basic singlets in orange, yellow & blue

What i still want to get:

High waisted shorts in denim and black
    Yellow polka dot ballet flats
    Gold or brown Havs
Black skirt with white bird print (seen this at Target - very cute!)

Can't wait to start wearing summer gear, just waiting for the weather to stay consistently warm here!

mmm. my summer wardrobe usually consists of denim shorts, cotton 3/4 pants, singlets, tshirts and cheesecloth tops.

This summer I will be in shape though, so I might try a more feminie wardrobe and gor for some skirts and dresses.

The good thing about this spring/summer is that the whole loose/smock look is still in meaning that most of the fashion is suitable for maternity which is good because i'm hoping to be pregnant by then but probably won't be showing too much until the middle of summer anyway. I've noticed lots of pinafores, smock and empire line tops and dresses are still in so if you don't get in shape the clothes are still very flattering.

Mine is going to be very basic!! I am liking all the shorts that are coming out so I think I will be stocking up from them and the singlets and t-shirts with buttons down the centre are going to be great for breast-feeding!! YAY!!

Lucky for me I picked up a few things while I was in the summer in Europe and I am very impatiently waiting for the summer to get going here so I can wear it!! (a few thin strap dresses & few smock dress)

Yellow, green & red ballet flats I will wear to work but when I am not there I mostly will live in my havaianas which I have black, white, red & pink pairs!

But of course I will need to buy more LOL

Good thread... I need some ideas too. My summer wardrobe consists of mainly 3/4 cotton pants and linen short sleeve shirts with a white cotton singlet underneath... pretty boring. I'm pretty fussy though in that i prefer to avoid synthetics... this is quite restrictive. Also with BF I can't wear most dresses I also avoid buying clothes that will date... only classics for me. I think i need to find a nice long flowing linen dress with buttons up the middle... but where to start looking????

Ooooh i have also seen some gorgeous peach skinny jeans but i want to try to find similar in a 3/4 cut. I'm loving all the bright colours at the moment.

I'm a sucker for lime green (not fluro... the green in mrsr's ticker LOL) and white in summer. can't wear peach because I'm a "winter" girl (the colour system).

I need couple of nice maxi's

I got some lovely linen pants the other day - but not white I don't dare buy white at the moment because I always end up with little jam/sauce/vegemite hand prints.

I hate summer - it's so hard to dress myself for summer.

I agree Chloe... winter fashion is much easier.

I wear a lot of white even though I have kids and sticky hands etc. I find that it, as a colour, is easier to keep looking nice as opposed to dark colours that fade with the more frequent washing that having children involves. Actually beige/cream/latte/taupe is a nice summer colour that goes with almost everything... especially in cargo pants and 3/4 pants.

I've always wanted to buy linen pants but i'm put off the ironing...

I love the nude colours like beige and taupe and even grey but i look better in brighter colours because i'm really pale, tend to look very bland in nude colours.

I actually find summer fashion so much easier because in winter i don't tend to leave the house much (hate the rain and cold) so mostly live in trackies, whereas in summer we're always outside so i invest in more one seasonal peices of clothing because i know they'll get lots of wear and i'm not disappointed when they go out of fashion because i'll probably be sick of them anyway!

I really want a nice summer dress!!! where do I get a good one, I live in the middle of nowhere & was looking to buy on line....but no luck yet.

Just last week bought 2 pairs of Havs online.....can't wait to get them they have sooooo many to choose from on the website. Ourlux, they have a gold & brown pair online that are awesome.

I've got the classic black shorts, no singlets yet. Need some soon it's already 34 here!!!

Yeah but winter clothing doesn't go out of fashion so quick IYKWIM. If you buy classics you can wear them until they die not until they go out of fashion (things like a nice fine wool skivvy, well cut leather pants, a long coat - you can wear them for years)

ETA - sometimes I think I'm the only person in the world who doesn't like Havs -the only time I wear flip-flops is if I need to go into a communal shower at the pool or beach.

Lol i live in Havs even in winter, in fact when DS was born it was the middle of winter and i rocked up to the birth centre in a big tracksuit and my havs

Erin, what kind of summer dress? sportsgirl have some nice things and i'm sure you can purchase online.... otherwise the brand Cooper Street from Myer always has gorgeous summer dresses, perhaps check ebay you can often pick up current season stuff too.
