My hairdresser. Bless her, I go once a year. But she's friendly and nice and remembers me. And the place is cheap. But she gives me the cut I want - and suggests a different cut that will look better if I come up with something horrid.

My waxing person. I've had a few. The last one was in Yorkshire and she was rubbish. Forgot what I wanted done so did my eyebrows and charged me for it when I wanted underarm and moustache. Didn't talk to me. I hate that. No conversation, even when I tried. Looked very bored. Not going back there. But my one in Sussex is nice, friendly, chatty, tells me how well I'm doing not screaming (she gave me my first and only professional Hollywood wax) and is great.

I'm looking at Laser hair removal for next year - if my normal waxer can do it then great. Otherwise I'll have to ask around for good laser people. And go for the person not the salon, made that mistake before too!

I first went to my beautician because she was close to where I worked and have now been seeing her for 12 years! I have followed her from a salon to home to her own salon.
The reason I stay with her is because she never misses hairs.
There is nothing worse than paying a whole pile of money for a wax and then getting home and realizing there is hair still there
I absolutely love her, she does the BEST job!!

I got a recommendation to a particular salon from a girlfriend that lives nearby. The main reason that I go there is that it is very large so it is easy to get an appointment. I used to find in previous places, mainly for waxes, that I had to wait ages to get an appointment. I don't go to a particular therapist there as I have found they are all very good. I only ever had one bad experience in the years I've been going there and when I mentioned it got the next session free.

As for my hairdresser, that was sheer luck. Walked past, made an appointment and did really well. I've been seeing my hairdresser now also for years and she is fabulous.
