aw, that would be awesome, mates rates hairdressing fees.
Feb and before that was before DD1.
We have a friend who is an awesome hairdresser, he cut mine for my b'day this year and i got 'mates rates' of $100 for cut, full color, foils, wash & blow dry, his salon COULD charge anywhere up to $200+ for all of that.

before my wedding, so july last year, its getting pretty long and needs the split ends cutting off, my friend who is a hairdresser comes to the house and cuts it for $20 and a beer. was ment to get it done last week but we had to cancel.
About one month ago I had my cut and colour; I like it done every 6 or so weeks or I start feeling drab.
Each time it costs $110, depending how many foils I have.
i had my hair done about a month or two ago.. my friend is a hairdresser so i just wait for her to say "we really need to do your hair" and then i do it! usually about every 4-6 monthsi have long brown hair and the colour i get done is nearly the same as my regrowth so it dosent look too bad
p.s short hair is not easy to maintain for me, as i have ridiculously curly hair!! i spend all my time straightening it!!
I cut mine all off Gigi because I thought it would be easier, but what you say is right, it needs cutting more often to stay looking good. But that's for super short. Now it is a bit longer I find I have to put in a little more effort to do it but nothing serious.
I think the short cut has been great for my hair, it was in terrible condition, but due to lack of hairdressers in the jungle, I'm growing mine to ponytail length! Just so I can pull it back quickly if I feel like it.
You have a lot more going for you than your hair by the way.don't sell yourself short. X
I went from shoulder length hair to the 'Emma Watson/Michelle Williams' cut. I love it.
I maintain it by having it cut every 6wks. It also not too bad if I let it go a bit longer, I just need a little more time in the morning to make it what I think is good
It's easy to blow dry in the morning, takes only a few minutes and a little bit of wax and I am done. It depends on how short you want to go.
I cut mine short when Melbourne was going through that really horrid humid weather and all I was doing was putting it back in a pony tail due the humidity not agreeing with my hair.
I don't regret it for a minute. I googled all sorts of short hair cuts and then took those into the hairdresser. I also looked through magazines and when I saw Emma Watson and Michelle Williams it was easy to explain and cut out pictures of what I wanted.
Some websites have facility for you to put your photo in with a different hair cuts, that way you can get an idea.
Another way is to go to a place that sells wigs and try some on, think Hair House Warehouse have wigs?
Gigi, I am sure you have much more going for you than your hair, I love reading your posts here on BB, you are one smart cookie!
it has been years... i honestly don't know when it was... probably about 3-4 years... i get mum to trim my hair every 6 months when i visit her(she lives ages away from me)
i would love to go to the hairdresser for a cut and colour but my hair is long and i got quotes at 4 places earlier this year and it would cost between $180-$250
thats too much.
My last haircut was yesterday, I get one every 4-6 weeks. It is one thing that is a treat to myself, an hour or so at the hairdresser, getting pampered
Cost will depend on the salon you go to, I got to a top salon and a cut costs me around $90. My colour costs me about $100 and I go about 8-10 weeks between those.
My last hair cut was over a year ago(trying to grow my hair now) But that was one I did myself.
My last professional hair cut would of been about 2-3 years ago![]()
Last week.. Before that was about a year ago..
For those of you on a tighter budget, check around the salons to see if they have apprentices. Sometimes they will allow them to do your hair at a cheaper rate. They are supervised, but just not yet qualified and are sometimes appreciative of not having to talk friends into it..
