Your best and worst beauty/cosmetic buys?!

I'm in need of serious distraction so here goes it!

Best - Revlon matte lipsticks, Chanel rouge allure lipsticks, OCC lip tars, Stila convertible colours, MAC blush cremes, Nars blushes, Tom Ford blushes, lipsticks and nail polish, Essie, Revlon and Australis nail polish, Bourjois blushes, Guerlain meteorites, MAC pigments, Body Shop shimmer cubes eyeshadow, MAC mineralize skin finishes.

Worst - Dior mascara, Napoleon Perdis lip glosses, Nars eyeshadow, Chanel rouge allure velvet, MAC prep and prime *shudder*, Bloom nail polish, MAC foundations, NP set (everything I've tried!), Bourjois eyeshadow.

Hit and miss - Chanel nail polish, some colours have an awesome finish others suck. Nars multiples, again some are good others a awful. Bobbi Brown shimmer bricks, same reason again.

    So what are yours?

I use mainly revlon but dont use alot of makeup. Use their agedefying liquid makeup and lipgloss and colour stay lipsticks
Dislike the nude by nature mineral makeup. It feels like I have a mask on my face and accentuates large pores and wrinkles!

I really like the 'Lacura' skin care range sold at Aldi. Also a big fan of dermalogica (when I could afford it)

Toomanyshoes what don't you like about the Chanel velvet lipstick? I've not tried these yet but I love the original Rouge Allure.

My best- nars blush, Chanel mascara, MV Organic skincare, Isomers serums, Chanel perfection
lumiere foundation, MAC paint pots, MAC foundations, Shu Uemura cleansing oils, Clarins body oils, Innoxa deodorant, Natio sensitive skincare range, Kevin Murphy hair are, Ultraceuticals, Thalgo Plasmalg gel, Chantecaille lip chics, Aesop cleansing oil, SKII face cloth masks, Moogoo Skin Milk Udder Cream, Revlon matte eye shadows, Parlux hairdryer...

Need to think about the worst...

Ladylove - they are extremely drying, to be able to wear the one I have (thankfully I only bought one!) to layer lip balm on first which ruins the finish and makes it last only a few hours at best. I know matte lipsticks are dryer but this one is uncomfortable to wear after 30 mins to an hour if I don't use something under it.

Bugger, I hate lippies like that. Have you tried the Nars matte ones in the skinny tube? I've tried a couple in MECCA and they feel nice but I haven't purchased yet.

Anyway my worst... I'm hesitant to list too many as often it's not a case of a bad product but simply not to my tastes or what my skin needs. But I never understood: maybelline great lash mascara or garnier BB cream (goes on beautifully, finishes up greasy).

garnier BB cream (goes on beautifully, finishes up greasy).
Ohhh noooo must be face type because I use it every day and LOVE it!!! There is a new Loreal one that is apparently drier than the Garnier one. My gf lives in NT and she can't wear the Garnier one either so maybe climate affects it too (I am in Melbs).

Not so much cosmetic but I love Batiste dry shampoo - life saver for those days when you don't have time to wash your hair or skip a shower (which with young kids may not happen til they go to bed!!) I had to head out today and sprayed it all over and it looked and felt SO much better!

Benefit Benetint - love it, cheeks and lips! (Thanks Rouge!)

I use a lot of cheapish stuff, my makeup bag is nearly all Australis, Maybelline and Rimmel! Have been using the Australis bronzer for years!

Didn't like - Rimmel Wow Mascara, Maybelline Colossal Lash or Falsies mascara. I do like their pure and soft mascara but it's not very glam, more of an every day one. Would love to try They're Real Benefit mascara, and Jane Iredale makeup.

Love love love dermalogica tinted moisturiser. Goes on beautifully and a really subtle tint for day time. It's my one splurge item, everything else I have is mostly cheapish australis and maybelline.

Not a huge fan of revlon. Have tried a few of their products and I didn't love them. I think the worst for me would be their mascara.

Ladylove - I live the nars matte lipsticks, not overly drying at all.

Tanstar - how could I forget benefit! I've loved every product I've tired.

I don't find the BB cream greasy, but maybe a little too dark and yellow for me, haven't made my mind up on it but I'm trying to get away from heavy/medium foundations so need to find something!

Best: NARS blush, Jemma Kidd Dewy Glow highlighter, MAC Face & Body foundation, Strobe Cream and lipsticks, Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer and creme blushes, Stila Convertible Colours, Covergirl Lashblast mascara, Bourjois 10 Hour Sleep Effect foundation.

Worst: Revlon Photo Ready foundation, Stila Tinted Moisturiser, MAC primers, anything Napoleon, any tubing mascara, glittery pigments.

I keep meaning to try Lashblast but can't remember which one it is when I'm in the supermarket.

I also love the Invisible Zinc face sunscreens.

Me too LL, been a while - must get some more.

The original Lashblast is in an orange tube.

Forgot a worst: Maybelline Great Lash mascara. Both the formula and the brush are awful IMO.

Hmm I don't like fat brushes... I might give it a go anyway.

Another product I love but forgot: Clarins Beauty Flash Balm. I have been slathering this on since DD arrived.
