Thanks Kas. I didn't want to tread on your toes. Thank you also for starting this thread, as it has renewed my interest in keeping and getting the most out of my SC.

I have a SC with a divider, it divides about a 1/3 of the way along. Whilst I find it a pain as it stops me from roasting, or using large ham hocks, it is good for cooking 2 different dishes at once. I have done a dinner (chilli con carne) and a dessert (apple crumble) at once. It might be an option for those of you that often cook 2 dinners.
Astrid, that sounds like a great design for me - could you tell us what brand you have please?
Brontide, FYI I've added the baked beans recipe in the slow cooker forum.
There are only two things I don't like about my SC. One is that its a pain to clean. The other is that I kind of find that most things I make in it (most red meat dishes, anyhow) all kind of have the same taste. Its a very nice taste, but its like this kind of generic slow cooker taste, doesn't seem to matter the kind of sauce- anyone else get that?
But I agree with all the others- they are seasonal, but really awesome. And so, so, so, easy.
