Slow cooker recipe book?

Not sure if i can post this here or whether it needs to go into the recommendations section so feel free to move..

I have been given a slow cooker and was wanting a good recipe book to get me started. Yes i have seen all the beautiful recipes on here which i cant wait to make but i am am a very panicky cook - i like to do just not very good - so wanted a book to help me along as well. Can anyone recommend anything?

Welcome to the world of slow cooking! Yumo! I started out with the recipes that came in the slow cooker instruction manual. I don't have any specific slow cooker cookbooks, but I've borrowed some pretty terrible American ones from the library- so stay away from them! (The recipes were too salty and sweet for my tastes!).

hehehe - i just cut and pasted from the slow cooker recipe threads on here! So many of the sound so yummy although yet to try them - only bought our slow cooker last weekend and have felt to sick to do anything food wise since. Hopefully next week!

I did the same thing as Julie, copied and pasted some recipes from the slow cooker thread on BB! I'm going to try something next week after I do the grocery shopping! I've never used one before either so maybe we can compare notes?!

That sounds like a good idea - i am so excited about finally having a slow cooker but too nervous to use it in case i ruin dinner!!
