I can put raw anything in there and it is done after 4 hours on high. Maybe yours is faulty? After 6 hours on high my potatoes would be all but dissolved.....![]()

I think you should buy a new one too. I never have any issues with mine sticking or not cooking food through. I never brown hte meat or par cook potato. I have even put frozen meat in mine and it's cooked it beautifully.
My SC is just a Big W cheapie too. I got it for $21 because it was 'floor stock, it had no box or instructions.
I think it might be getting old and tired, I don't remember having onion issues years ago...Maybe I should borrow someone else's and test it out first.
