I am new to this site and posted a thread Our Little Man- Lost on the weekend, and I have been reading
some of the stories posted. I will not go over the details but our story is very similar to yours, briefly-
Our son Kobi Hunter was born a day shy of 38days, however according to what I have been told it was likely that he passed away up to 72 hours beforehand. We have had 2 previous miscarriages.
Like you we did not find out the sex of the baby until after he was born, but I cannot imagine going through the birth alone without your husband I certainly would not have had the strength to do that. We were lucky to have a private midwife with us which helped greatly, I think this is something the hospitals should remind people about. Anyway if you wish you can read my post for further details.

The main reason I wanted to respond is that after the 2 miscarriages I was diagnosed with a blood clotting condition called factor 5 which is heredity. I had no previous history of DVT's but they found it after I insisted on being reffered after the 2nd miscarriage. As soon as I found out I was pregnant with Kobi I was put on 100mg of asprin each day. I stopped asprin just before 36 weeks which apparantly common. Although 7 weeks later we are still waiting for the post mortem results, the ob believes that my clotting is most likely to be the cause. Kobi only really made it to 37 weeks.

I am starting to think about next time already which scares me a little because it has only been 7 weeks, but it feels like a lifetime. I am seeing the ob again this week and I am also going to see a specialst next week for further advice on future pregnancies. However I have been told that I will be on injections, and will possibly be admitted for the end of my pregnancy. I have a huge list of questions to ask them but I would love to trade information on treatment to see if it is consistent. I am not leaving anything to chance next time.
