did they warn you that it was a possible side effect?
wow, that's a lot of men who are experiencing the same thing.
did they warn you that it was a possible side effect?
Nope. Seems no-one doesIm gutted for him. What does this mean now? You could be hopeful it'll improve but those guys have had it for years... Scary.

Hopefully it's just due to the infection. Goodluck xxx
Reading through the link I saw one guy who did exercises that said it really improved things for him and another guy who got a reversal and said that it wasn't back to 100% but still vastly improved.
As scary as that sounds, I still think it's early days and there is likely to be improvement - especially if there's some swelling/infection happening - that can disrupt nerve signals. I hope the Dr has some answers/reassurance for him.
Agree. Whilst everything is still tender and owie, it could be affecting how he is functioning at this point in time.
DH got over his infection fine, there has been no issues with how he feels during sex. The is the odd time that the testicle that got infected will ache, but nothing that affects his enjoyment.
how's your DP doing?
Thanks for checking inHe's had *some* improvement, but says he gets no tingle or anything. A bit of a build up but nothing more. He's trying not to think about it too much so it becomes psychological. But the infection has gone, just hope that in the months ahead the healing helps things along. I hope it goes back to the way it used to be for him.

he should have been given information listing all the possible implications after surgery. When DH had it, he was given a booklet that detailed everything and a quick google search will also give you loads of links about it. But the risk of that happening is still quite small. Of course it's going to seem like a lot of guys have problems because they are the only ones posting saying how bad it is - you're not going to get many men posting to blogs or forums saying how fantastic it's been afterwards because they don't need to, ITMS? Well except that one guy from that link you posted. I'm with MD though. I know some of these men have had the problem for years, but it doesn't have to be assumed it will stay that way. I think it's taken for granted that things will automatically stay the same, and if they aren't then it's like their world falls down but it's not the end of their world kwim, and some of them may have to work hard to get things back to a level where they are feeling satisfied. If he was a wham bam thankyou ma'am type guy before hand, maybe he really does need to re-learn how to build that sensation? Don't write it off as being this way forever. Some of the men posting on that site were literally only weeks post-op and I would expect that things would still be strange.
How are things now, Kelly?
Did things improve?
I was reading one of your articles, and it suggested vasectomy as a contraception, and i wondered what your thoughts were on it now?
I was thinking about this thread the other day too. How is it going now?
