I would say they are both the same TBH. they can both cause permanent damaged to the tubes and so if you were to choose to have more children later you would have to try a reversal but would think most Dr would recommend IVF.

The procedure can be done through a lap.My recovery was quite good

A friend of mine got hers clamped during her last cesaerean 7 months ago - and just lost her 8 week old bub, so I kinda don't trust it

    Everything that Loula said

I had one clamped & one removed... recovery was pretty good.

The only thing I can add (which I have heard a lot & my personal experience is so as well) - it has made my period pain a lot worse

I did ask my FS about it & he said that it is most common that you will get an increase in period pain... he did go into a massive explaination as to why but I don't want to misquote

Apart from that I found it fine (oh - and I did put on about 5kgs )

Sunshine - are you planning on any more children later?
Only because what Lou has said in regards to the Dr's preferring to do IVF for more children rather than having it reversed.
I can't remember if your bubs are IVF bubs or not - but from experience, you don't want to do IVF if you don't have to

    Thanks HB.
Both pregnancies were a natural conception. Both DH and I have said we only want 2 kids and have said so for a long time. We are both happy to have a procedure done. Interested to hear others opinions.
