I made it last night without the choc chips cos we didn't have any & I must say I was surprised!! I think the recipe needs some tweaking though, definitely needs the choc chips IMO & I have read somewhere you can subsitute banana for oil in cake recipes to make them less evil, so I might do that next time too. Overall though it works really well.

I might try it out tonight with the banana, I have a heap of bananas that are too far gone for eating.

I just made this with quarter very ripe banana and desert spoon oil - textures not quite right and tastes too bananary.

Any tweak suggestions? Handy recipe if could be improved just a little, perhaps I just need to make it without banana ?

OMG!! Can't believe it really only took 5mins! Can't believe how high it went about the mug then went down again! I just made 2 and if DP doesn't wake up and have his, I'm eating it too. I put a bit.....ok a lot of whipped cream with it too....DELISH!! I didn't try it with banana, I will next time though. My choc chips melted too but still tastes great!

I made this last night.. but i think i did it wrong lol.. most of it was great, except one bit that tasted a bit like scrambled egg so obviously i didn't mix it well enough . But I just cut that bit out lol. DS ended up pinching it off me and he loved it. The only thing that was kind of disappointing was the choc chips sank to the bottom and just clumped there. But DS loved the half melted cadbury choc chips the best heh.

I will try it again soon and hopefully I won't be so hopeless and stuff it up next time

I would probably use castor but don't have any so I use normal and it is fine.

Yeah you really do need to mix it up well before cooking. I did it again with the choc chips and put in heaps, I didn't measure but I am guessing I put in about 6 tbsps

Tip so the choc chips dont sink is to coat them in flour before adding them to the batter!!

    Off to make mine now!!

    Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm that was yummmmmmmmmmoooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!

Milo tasted awesome in it.....got abit rubbery tho, either I mixed it to much cause i didn't want scrambled egg in it like Melinda or cooked it too long.

I think it is moreso the cook to long cause I just checked and out microwave is 1500watts!!
