cheese and chive muffins, recipe anyone?

we made cheese and (i think) chive muffins in high school cooking class years ago and i loved them. problem is i am skeptical of recipes i havent tried before and i have a fusspot partner so i dont want to waste time and ingredients on a googled recipe.

the one i had was a cookery the australian way recipe (if anyone has it LOL), but am open to your tried and true recipes....

    tia.

In perhaps my most helpful post of the year, I've seen some cheese and bacon ones somewhere on BB that were really yum...maybe you could tweak a recipe? I love good savoury muffins. I wonder if a recipe with sour cream would help make a nice moist muffin...

If you google Cookery the Australian Way, you should be able to find the recipe. Might take a bit of searching.

ETA: I think the one I've made before is Sarah's cheese muffin recipe, and I just must have added bacon myself?

Hey thanks Nelle! Mmmm with bacon sounds good. So hot here today, I think my family might be a little inclined to not like me were I to cook today however!

Mmm hot here too, but we're out of bread and other breakfasty things and so my kids have had apples and dates and cheese for breakfast, so it's muffins for lunch.

We have two left. One for Si who's napping and I guess the last had better go to DH. Which recipe did you make Skye, the Cookery the Australian Way one or the Sarah_H one?

Cookery Australia. Just pulled them out & they are so good!
The girls refused to try, coz they could see green stuff, lol, but I might be able to con Jesse

Alex and I are going to make some now. Going to add some sour cream for the moisture and maybe some bacon too. I think we will be a flour covered mess in the next half hour but oh well.

Well, I was down to the last 2 this morning. Had one in my hand when Jesse woke up & he came up, sat on my lap, took it out of my hand & just started eating it! lol. Warmed up the other one, cut it in half, one for him, one for me & he took it all!
I'm happy. Least one kid eats them! Have to think of something with no green bits for the girls, lol. Thinking banana.

You can just make them without the chives Skye, it's still nice with just cheese. Maybe you could even really really finely blend some onion and put it in.
