I think they've been around for a long time, but the trend is starting. Cupcakes are huge now, aren't they - but our mum's were making them for us when we were little. We just did a white cream for the macaroons - I think we spent more time laughing than anything else. One of my piping bags (a real cheap one) burst as my cousin was squeezing it, so we had orange splattered everywhere. It was so funny. I don't care about the outcome so much, as long as there's been fun getting there.
