    Question about cooking slices

Ok, this is embarrassing, but I'm not much of a baker and have never made a slice before!

I just made a honey and oat slice, but it stuck to the bottom and was a bit squishy.. Was it not cooked enough?? The recipe said to cook it for 15mins and it would have been in for about 30mins. It was nice and golden on top.. Not sure what I did wrong. I left it to cool before eating.. (it tasted good, but I was hoping it looked good so I could actually offer people some lol)

BAL, maybe a lower temp for a bit longer?

I use baking paper to stop sticking. Even when I grease my pan properly because my oven is so dodgy it doesn't bake evenly and my turning it doesn't always prevent this.

Did you grease the tin first? Or use baking paper? Honey is great for being sticky

I also use baking paper. Always. For everything! Don't be disheartened. I've had heaps of flops because of sticky recipes. It's worse in muffin tins let me tell you

Is it meant to be refrigerated? Sometimes that stops the sticking.

I second the baking paper, but if you used it and it still stuck, I would say your oven temp isn't right if you had a 15minute recipe in there for 30 minutes. Honey can be a bugger and the other thing I thought of was that you may have used too much honey?

I used the exact amount of honey, the only thing I guessed with measuring was the butter. Could that have affected it?.. No mention of refrigeration in recipe..
