ohhh that cake looks so nice!. I dont have any rosewater....I might try it without ( just add water for the liquid aspect).

Hope it works out as I know Kaitlyn would love these in cupcakes!

LOL, as soon as I saw this thread I thought OMG, gotta get Sherie's recipe out again! DIVINE!

I had real cravings for rhubarb when I was pg with Lexie.

(Might have to nip back to our old house to see how the rhubarb crop is faring........I fancy rhubarb again now!)

Glad to hear that everyone liked it Cass. I don't like rhubarb myself so I haven't tried the recipes but they just looked so good.

Bec, that sounds a bit norti to eat it like that - I used to eat apples that way as a kid LOL.

Nah, not norti - rhubarb is too sour without lots and lots of sugar - that's my excuse and i'm sticking to it.

I ate crunchy green apples with smooth peanut butter...mmmm

Cass, I have some of DH's grandmothers recipes books here ATM and there is a recipe for a "Rhubarb Fool", sounds like a quick and easy dessert. The measures are all quite old, but it has a conversion table.

    Rhubarb Fool
    1/2 pint stewed rhubarb
    1 gill cream
    1 gill boiled custard

    1/2 pint = 1 cup; 1 gill = 1/2 cup

Put rhubarb through a seive, stir in the custard, then lightly whipped cream. Serve in chilled tall glasses and decorate with marachino cherries or seeded grapes.
