I have a recipe somewhere for truffles and you use Madiera cake for the centre and some other stuff but you could probably use the cake you have got. They are so yummy. Let me know if you are interested and I will try and find it. I made it for xmas gifts one year but between my Dh and the man next door they were all eaten. so was the second batch.
