My poor DS14 has had his heart broken and there is nothing I can do to make it better

He was really quiet last night after dinner and we were watching TV when I asked him what was wrong? He burst into tears and said that his girlfriend had broken up with him
It was of course a typical teenage relationship, in love after a few days, and they have only been together for about 6 weeks or so.

I gave him a big hug but didnt know what else to do or say, not that there is anything I can say to make him feel better.
Although I have the benefit of hindsight and I know that this will not be the last time he feels like this, I dont want to dismiss what he is feeling now.
He asked me when girls grow out of bad boys because his heart was too big to turn into one

DH couldnt say anything to him either because he was trying to hold it together himself, the big sook was close to breaking down himself seeing his boy in tears.

Oh the poor thing, I hate seeing him so miserable. I have bought him some chocolate and a card telling him that its not the same but I think he is wonderful and I hope he feels better soon x

This parenting job certainly throws it all at ya doesnt it??
