thread: Jaundice from delayed cord clamping?

    Thanks for all the replies! I always find it interesting to read the experiences of the ladies on BB, they always seem to be different from so many of the stats you read online.

    We delayed cord clamping with DD#2 and she had the same amount of jaundice as DD#1 who was born by c/s so had no delay in the cord clamping.
    Neither required lights etc as it was just a slight tinge to their skin that was gone really quickly.

    In saying this though, it does make sense that it may cause jaundice as they are getting more bloodcells, however I would delay again.
