I had it constantly from about 18 weeks BLEH so I know what you mean. My midwife never seemed overly concerned, so I wouldn't worry too much. In-Liven is a good idea. Someone told me to limit bread and vegemite and some other things (yeasty foods I think) but vegemite was a craving, and you can't have it without bread, so I never tried it...
Something that worked for me was to give that area some air time, I would go no-nickers after a shower and to bed. I always thought it would be better to wear a liner to try and 'dry' the area, but having absolutely nothing there worked much better. Also, try the liners that are breathable, that was another thing that helped.

Hope you get it sorted, thrush sucks!

You should be able to treat it - just talk to your midwife/ob about what they would like you to use. All the packages of creams and pessaries say not to use during pregnancy, but my doctor said some kinds were fine.
Aside from that, you should try to cut back on refined flour (white bread, cookies, cake, etc.) and refined sugar.
And eat plain yogourt, and/or take acidophilus. Acidophilus you can get from a health food store as a tablet or a liquid (you'll need like 10 drops, if it's the same as it is here - barely any!). That's the bacteria that your body needs to balance the yeast. That should really help prevent future yeast infections. They are MISERABLE!!! I've had them occasionally with all my babies so far.
And I imagine you know the rest of the precautions - cotton underwear, stay as clean and dry as possible, no irritating soaps or cleaners....

I really recommend the acidophilus - it also works for thrush in your baby and on your nipples when you are nursing later. Knocks the extra yeast out of your whole system.

yeh i have good days with thrush and bad days. I use Canasten cream from the chemist and it gives me relief within 24 hours. Takes about 5 days with severe thrush. I tend to use it when there is a little hint of things going wrong down there!! lol its not fun hun.. i know..but it wont last forever!
