Sorry to hear about you losing your twins. It is hard dealing with all those emotions when you get pg after a m/c. I got a BFP at 9 DPO (or maybe 10, I think I O'd a day earlier than FF did), I was convinced in the lead-up to my AF due date that I'd have a chemical pregnancy. Then after I celebrated passing AF due date I was a nervous wreck in the lead-up to the next milestone which was at 5w4d the time I had my first spotting with the m/c bub. The next milestone was between 6w4d and 7w4d when the last bub died. Now quite far past that milestone, and the next one is 12 weeks (two weeks tomorrow!).
Sorry to hear about your GP's insensitivity. Maybe you could look at going to another one? I had one at my first appointment with my m/c bub who was pretty negative about the likelyhood of miscarriage (this is at 4w, before I'd even had any spotting), and didn't congratulate us until we were walking out the door. I saw someone else after that.
Good luck, sending lots of sticky vibes for this pregnancy.
I can't see the first one, but can definately see the second one
I couldn't handle waiting, so I would go and see my dr in the morning and ask for a referral for a BT. That way you can also find out the hCG (ask for a 'beta hCG' or 'quantitative hCG') and you will be able to watch at what level it is increasing. Twins will increase the hCG quicker than one bubba.
