    Cramps and spotting

    Hi all,

this is my first post here. In August last year I lost a baby at about 7 weeks. Since then I have not gone back onto contraception and decided to let nature take its course. If it happened, it happened. However more recently, I have decided I want it sooner rather than later. And to top it all off, I found out recently that my mother has a serious medical condition meaning she will probably not live more than 10 years

We have recently returned from an overseas holiday. I am at day 31 of my cycle. I have sore breasts to touch. I feel 'different' inside but I am having very minor cramps and some spotting. The spotting has lasted about a week. When it first started it was bright red now it is brown and there sometimes are tiny clots. So maybe AF is still coming a little late. Last time I was pregnant I did have minor spotting but it lasted only a day or so and I didnt feel cramps. I also craved cheese last time.
So who knows. I am too scared to do a test. I figured I would wait a week and see what happens.
Has anyone else had minor cramping and spotting like this and then had a positive test?

    Hi JenJams

    Welcome to BB!

I am very sorry about your m/c, big to you honey.

About the spotting It may be that you are having implantation bleeding. I had IB with this pregnancy and also I was really crampy for the first few weeks.

You said you are cycle day 31, how long is your cycle usually? If you want to, take a test, it can't hurt.

    Best of luck sweetie

    Thanks Spring,

Cycles are usually around 28 days but I have not been counting for the past few months. If it doesnt happen this month then I will start my chart and see where it takes me.
    Thanks for the support.

Well if your cycles are usually 28 days then you can guess that you are about 17 DPO. In which case, a HPT should show a +ive if you were UTD.

If you decide to test best of luck.

I'll pop in tomorrow to check how you are.

We bit the bullet and did a test this morning. Only one line. Now will be interesting to see how long the cycle goes for and try again next month. 32 days so far.

Bummer JenJams, I am sorry that you got a BFN but don't forget, it is not over until the witch rears her ugly head.

I think if you want to, you might like to try temping or OPK for your next cycle so that you know what is going on.

    Big love
