I had a missed misscarriage and had a d and c done on the second i was 5 and half weeks does anyone know how long it takes for your levels to drop to were if you take a HPT it will come up negative?

I am sorry to read about your loss. It can take a few weeks but usually its only a week and it does depend on how high the BHCG was to start with. Also if your pregnancy was a molar pregnancy it can take much much longer but from what you have said its unlikely as usuaLLy you would know (from scan or pathology from the D&C) once your HCG has reduced to under5 you usually ovulate again but wouldn't until it has gone back to a pre-pregnant level.

it has been a week and a day since the d and c and the curostiy has gotten to the better of me and i took a hpt and its still showing postive not a light line but still a dark one i am just worried that there is a problem. I just stopped bleeding so far from the d and c should i be worried

A similar thing happened to me but my pregnancy was ectopic so my BHCG was increasing not going down. If you had a scan that showed bub in the uterus then you shouldn't have to worry about that.
Maybe get another BT to ensure its going down which I am sure it is just not quickly.
