Help! What is going on with my body???

Ok, I had a missed m/c in July. I bled on and off for 35 days and then got a/f as normal. I have since had one 'normal' period (the first one after my d&c). And then last cycle I had some bleeding at around day 14-16 and then about day 22 and then got a/f day 32 - it was only very little amount but had some clotting (sorry if TMI!!!). Now I'm onto my third cycle since my d&c. This is day 14-15 and again I have bleeding!! This time it is much heavier and I feel as though I am getting a/f and have some cramping too. Before my pregnancy I had 'normal' periods (32 day cycle), no bleeding in between. Now since this is the second cycle this is happening to me I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas about what could be causing it - it is driving me nuts as we are TTC, but doesn't look at all promising if I keep getting this bleeding. This has not ever happened to me before - is there something wrong with me???? Or is it normal???

    Hi Kittycat,

I'm sorry to hear that you are going through the pain of m/c too.

I really don't know what is going on! I've never had bleeding in between periods before so I'm at a loss at to what it means. I thought by now my cycle would be back to normal after my d&c in July. Like you I had bleeding for a long time after it - more than 35 days (although it wasn't always heavy, sometimes just spotting) and then got af afterwards so all in all that was about 42 days - not pleaseant to have the constant reminder every day.

It's completely frustrating as we are ttc, so i don't know if all this bleeding means i'm not going to ovulate - if i get a period twice every month - what does that mean for me??

If it happens again next month i will definitely be heading to my doctor. I thought it may be a hormonal thing due to what happened in july but would have expected all of that to settle down by now!? I really have no idea! It's just so frustrating, not to mention inconvenient and I can't help but feel that my body is letting me down! I was starting to feel much better about what has happened and beginnig to feel very positive about trying to have another baby, I just don't want this to send me backwards again...

Anyway, trying to keep positive, hopefuly it's nothing and my body will sort its self out (and yours too - here's hoping!).

    Take care,
    Rach

    strange...

    hello rach,

I phoned my nurse and she said it is normal to have bleeds in between periods after a miscarriage as your hormones are still getting back to normal. im not sure if she meant the first month or longer. i have just had my second "real" period and im hoping not to get the mid month bleeding next week. like you, we have decided to start trying again, but not sure if im ovulating. i cant wait for things to get back to normal. good luck with your ttc

    Thaks for the update kittycat!
That was my (self-) diagnosis too- I'm hoping it is just a hormonal thing. thank goodness the bleeding didn't actually last very long this time - fingers crossed it doesn't come back (for you or I !).
Good luck with ttc. I've been using those ovulation kits - according to those I haven't ovulated/not about to ovulate yet this month and it's day 17 already - i hope better things for you! Like you, i can't wait for things to get back to normal.....

    Best of luck!!

    Rach

    Hi Rach,

I have exactly the same symtpoms as you and have not ovulated for 3 cycles post D&C. What caught my eye about your post was that you lost twins.

I lost twins in September at 10 weeks but they both did not grown beyond 6. I was told that this was quite unusual for both embryos to fail.

I was wondering if the ovulation problems were related to the high HCG level associated with twins.

I have had a previous natural miscarriage of one baby and ovulated 2 weeks later.

    Xx
