I unfortunately lost my little one early this morning. I was only 6 weeks but I am obviously still upset. My initial reaction is to want to TTC again ASAP (obviously I don't know how I'll feel in a few days/weeks time). My doc told me that she would recommend waiting a full cycle before trying again, however, in a book I'm reading it says there is no reason to wait if you are emotionally and physically ready.....so basically I was wondering how long any of you who have also experienced a loss waited?
I am so sorry to hear that you lost your little one.
as for how long from what i understand if there is no medical condition, the only reason they ask you to wait is for dating purpose. Good luck hun, i hope someone will come along and help you soon!
I'd say before making a decision, think on it for a week or two to make sure it's what you really want. I've been thinking the same kind of thing the past two weeks - "Should we try again as soon as I'm physically ready, or should we wait a little while?" - and I think we will try asap. In fact, I started thinking about it as soon as we found out we'd lost Ianto I feel horrible about it now, since the thought in that moment was "we need to replace this one"... Now it's not that. I genuinely want to have another baby, but not to replace him.
I'm still having tiny thoughts along the same lines now and then, though. I found myself hoping today that we have a boy next time, because I should have a baby boy in my arms (or my belly) right now.
Oh, who knows what my point is here? I'm rambling, sorry...
I think that wanting to rplace the lost one immediately is pretty normal.
I had an enforced wait of 6 months due to molar pregnancy. And as much as you think you're emotionally ready straight away, the wait is a really good thing. Take that time to do everything you need to to be 100% ready for pregnancy - I bet theres some stuff you could do better than last time - and see how much better you feel about it.
