I am in the same situation i have been ttc since may 2008 and with no luck decided to see gp in november, was sent for blood tests and was told i have high prolactins levels. i was refered to an entercronoligst but not till feb. i myself dont know much about this only what i have red up on the web. fingers crossed its nothing too serious
I don't have problem falling pregnant but I do have problem keeping it to term. I was also referred to an entercronoligst but I really wanted to see a GY so my GP then referred me to a very good GY/OB in brisbane.
I am seeing him this afternoon so if you have any questions, I can probably ask him for you.
The consultation was good, now I know that I don't have major problems, high prolactin levels would only cause infertility issues (ie. no period, no oluvation), I don't have that problem. My period's always regular. The elevated prolactin levels might be due to the recent miscarriage. Anyway, it's really good to get reassurance from the specilist.
Do you have regular periods? How high were your prolactin levels?
Im the same regular periods, im not sure what my levels are the doc told me and i cant remember i was thinking of calling her to ask but i think now id prefer not to know incase i start to read up on it depending how high or low it is and i dont like what im reading. prob not knowing much is a good thing for now.
