Ok I missed waaaaaay too must posting last night! I went to the seminar and luckily it was fairly entertaining and not a snorefest. Unfortunately though it wasn't exactly what me and my work-buddy thought it was going to be. It was a behaviour/training seminar and we thought that the person running the workshop was going to kind of teach us techniques for training and modifying behaviours. Instead it was pretty much a bunch of little videos of her training animals (seals, giraffes, hippos, dolphins, dogs and more), but didn't really give us any new techniques. It was interesting to hear that she trained 4 male dolphins to ejaculate on command (for dolphin artificial insemination) but I wanted to know how she initially trained that kind of behaviour! Did she just hang around until a dolphin pleasured himself then congratulate him?!
Anyway...
Teen and Chappas - I'm very sorry about your losses, but I am very glad that you have found this thread. It's a wonderful place to heal and the girls are all amazingly supportive and compassionate. :hugs:
Teen - Although you are a bit younger than I am, I too have a huge age gap between myself and my DH. For my it's about 15 1/2 years. Sometimes love disregards age yeah?
I think you are doing the right thing in regards to changing drs. You have to feel comfortable and have trust in the doctor that is going to be helping you bring a child into this world.
I hope your TTC going is nice and quick!
Jen - On your marks. Get set. GO!!! I love your plan!! It would never work with my DH. He's just not the competitive type. I hope I get a BFP this month so I don't have to think up a new strategy for next month.
Joey - OMG I accidentally just wrote your name as "Hoey"! I swear I'm not passing judgement on your personal life choices!!! :ROFL I used to embarrass myself by accidentally writing my DH's name as Booby instead of Bobby. Thank god I usually proof read!!!
In regards to dyeing your hair, I've read things that claim it's safe, and then I've read other things to say it's not safe. The ones that say it's unsafe mention that the chemicals can be absorbed into the skin on your head and then get into your blood stream. It recommends that if you are going to dye you hair that you should restrict it to foils that don't touch your skull etc.
Chappas - I hope all the babydust and stickyvibes in this thread give you the luck you need in your TTC journey and that your get your BFP in no time!!!
