-
teen--So will you be taking your temps each morning and charting? How long have you been TTC? OMG, I have to admit I feel a little strange asking you that when I have a DS and DSD that will both be 15 at the end of the year! I truly wish you all the best, though, and hope I haven't offended you, as that's not what's intended!
-
Ok girls, I've figured out how to make sure we BD every day next week--I'm a genius! I'm going to tell DF that we're (us girls)having a contest to see who can BD the most next week! He'll make sure we "win" for sure! He's terrible when it comes to competition! What do you think, genius right?
-
Jen, that plan is genius!!
n kno u didnt offend me lol. i get comments on my age n the age gap btween DP and i all the time. its ok.
we were TTC for 3mths b4 fallin pg n now were TTC again. im charting BBT and CM and hope that i'll b ovulating soon. by my age i should ovulate quickly again, mayb before my nxt period :)

Ohhhh Joey..... thanks for your posts... I ve not laughed for a while but I certainly did reading your posts... "it could stretch from the floor to the ceiling" Cracked me up.... Hope DH was up to the "task" last night...... cant waiste good stretchy egg whites.....
-
Teen - Welcome. Sorry to hear your sad news. We are all here for you.
Jen - The competition is absolute genius!!
Angel - DH performed very well. Legs up the wall following the BDing should have done the trick to help those little swimmers along!
AFM - I've just had my hair done. I'm happy with it, but it's never quite right until you wash it a couple of days later and do it yourself.
Has any one got any info on dying your hair when you're UTD? I have a full head of foils done every 10-11 weeks (school holidays). I'm wondering if I get a BPF if I should give it a miss from now on? The chemicals smell so strong. They don't burn or irritate my scalp, but they can't be good for the little bugger in there, can they?
Glad to hear I'm keeping many amused with my silly talk
 to you all.
And don't forget the :pink-babydust: :bluedust: :stickyvibesgirl: :stickyvibesboy:

Hope you girls dont mind if i join you.
Had 2 m/c last year 1 at 5 wks 1 missed m/c at 10 wks. We have been ttc again since jan with no luck  for bfp this month. Currently 8dpo.
Joey123 had hair done wk after 1st m/c and hormones affected colour loads (looked yellow) getting your hairdresser to do quick test first is best way to go.

Hi Chappas
:welcome: Sorry you have to be here, but the place is great. The girls are fantastic. Very very supportive, and a bit crazy and funny too, which is lovely.
I too MC at 5 weeks (about 3 weeks ago). I am currently 3DPO and have my :crossfingers: that in a week or so I will have a BFP.
What about the affects on the baby from all the chemicals when getting your hair bleached??
Take care Chappas. I look forward to chatting to you some more.
xx

:angel::angel:Hi Joey123
Thanx for the welcome!Look forward to chatting with you all.
When pg with DD who is 4 had my hair tinted all the time never really heard of it having any affects on baby, couldn't say for sure. My friend who has a 5wk old had hers done when she was too.
:crossfingers: for all this month.

Implantation Dip
Found this info, thought it may be of some use to some of you ... (or perhaps just confuse you all!!) (got it off FF)
Is there such a thing as an implantation dip?
There is a great interest in identifying very early pregnancy signs on charts. Which signs can tell you that you might be pregnant? Which are meaningless? To try to answer this question quantitatively, we have run some statistics on a large sample of charts.
One of the most controversial and puzzling potential signs has always been a luteal phase dip. There has been a lot of speculation about the significance of a temperature dip in the days after ovulation around the time implantation would be expected. We wanted to get to the bottom of the issue and find out once and for all if seeing a dip in the luteal phase, around the time of expected implantation, increased the probability of pregnancy.
Here is what we did:
We ran a full statistical analysis on 116,691 charts recently processed by Fertility Friend, both pregnancy charts and charts that did not result in pregnancy.
To be considered as a dip, charts had to show a significant single dip that lasted a single day, occurring between 5 and 12 days past ovulation.
We used a minimum dip size of 0.3F. We also ran the test using several pattern recognition algorithms to validate the correlation independently of the method of measurement.
Here is what we found:
11% of charts that showed ovulation but did not result in a pregnancy displayed this pattern.
23% of charts that showed ovulation and did result in a pregnancy showed this pattern.
Of the pregnancy charts that showed this pattern, the most likely days for the dip to occur were between 7 and 8 days past ovulation.
The data suggest that this pattern is indeed more likely to result in a pregnancy.
Remember, though, if you have this pattern, it does not necessarily mean that you are pregnant. It is just increasing your probability.
No matter your chart pattern, you can still be pregnant as long as you have well-timed intercourse within your fertile time. In the end, the only way to really know for sure whether or not you are pregnant is still when you can reliably take a pregnancy test.
Happy BDing

My word, it is quiet in here tonight. I think all the chatter starts after I go to bed. Oh well, Nana is getting sleepy, so I will cuddle into my nice warm bed and put the TV on. Sleep well girlies, chat tomorrow.

Ok I missed waaaaaay too must posting last night! I went to the seminar and luckily it was fairly entertaining and not a snorefest. Unfortunately though it wasn't exactly what me and my work-buddy thought it was going to be. It was a behaviour/training seminar and we thought that the person running the workshop was going to kind of teach us techniques for training and modifying behaviours. Instead it was pretty much a bunch of little videos of her training animals (seals, giraffes, hippos, dolphins, dogs and more), but didn't really give us any new techniques. It was interesting to hear that she trained 4 male dolphins to ejaculate on command (for dolphin artificial insemination) but I wanted to know how she initially trained that kind of behaviour! Did she just hang around until a dolphin pleasured himself then congratulate him?!
Anyway...
Teen and Chappas - I'm very sorry about your losses, but I am very glad that you have found this thread. It's a wonderful place to heal and the girls are all amazingly supportive and compassionate. :hugs:
Teen - Although you are a bit younger than I am, I too have a huge age gap between myself and my DH. For my it's about 15 1/2 years. Sometimes love disregards age yeah? :D
I think you are doing the right thing in regards to changing drs. You have to feel comfortable and have trust in the doctor that is going to be helping you bring a child into this world.
I hope your TTC going is nice and quick!
Jen - On your marks. Get set. GO!!! I love your plan!! It would never work with my DH. He's just not the competitive type. I hope I get a BFP this month so I don't have to think up a new strategy for next month.
Joey - OMG I accidentally just wrote your name as "Hoey"! I swear I'm not passing judgement on your personal life choices!!! :ROFL I used to embarrass myself by accidentally writing my DH's name as Booby instead of Bobby. Thank god I usually proof read!!!
In regards to dyeing your hair, I've read things that claim it's safe, and then I've read other things to say it's not safe. The ones that say it's unsafe mention that the chemicals can be absorbed into the skin on your head and then get into your blood stream. It recommends that if you are going to dye you hair that you should restrict it to foils that don't touch your skull etc.
Chappas - I hope all the babydust and stickyvibes in this thread give you the luck you need in your TTC journey and that your get your BFP in no time!!!
