Hi all,
Just want to say a massive congrats to PLC and welcome to April :stork-girl: :cheer:
Well after a fab xmas things are starting to settle down.
It was the EDD of our angel bub yesterday. It was a very hard day, lots of tears were shed and df was my saviour. We decided to have a little moment to ourselves, but mainly kept busy! i think it was the only way i could get thru the day.
I hope you all had a fab day, and that you all have a wonderful new year. Here is to a H&H 2009 with lots of :bfp:
Mollycat - Thanks for the beautiful poem, it was just so lovely and brought tears to my eyes.
Theresa - I think everyone here understands your pain although I only lost my angel at 11 weeks, I still think about him everyday he was so wanted and I know your baby was too. You always will think about him, its natural and when Christmas and special day's come along they are extra hard as we feel like something is missing. Don't be hard on yourself
PLC - Congrats on the arrival of April. Although I am only new your support to everyone in here has been amazing :)
Jen - Thanks for all your beautiful persies. You always go to such an effort to mention everyone. :D
To all the other girls I haven't mentioned and there have been a few, sorry, will be back for more persies later. Babydust to the TTC girlies and :stickyvibesgirl: to the newly pg ladies. Wishing you all the best for 2009 ;)
AFM - Am playing the waiting game, I think I am about 10DPO but my temp hasn't risen like it normally does so I am a little confused it would be one day high (like it should be in the second half of cycle, then down for two then up one, then down for three then up one. So I have pretty well said goodbye to this cycle as a chance of being pg as I know your temp needs to be up for pg to continue and now I am not even sure if I did O (although I got cramps around that time which is normal for me), which concerns me more. I know this is the first cycle since m/c and things could be a bit out of whack. :wall: Has anyone ever had a low temp in luteal phase and got a BFP?
Polly
fifi--Sorry to hear about the anniversary of your EDD  I'm so glad you have such a supportive DF--and a little one growing in that belly of yours--to comfort you thru this difficult season!
Polly--I've seen pg charts in the chart gallery before on FF that have shown women that got BFP's with low LP temps. You can click on chart gallery and enter in the criteria that you want to look for--ie: pg charts, with low post O temps. Not sure if you need the VIP membership to do that or not... but good luck and saying lots of  for a BFP!!
Yay--got our Christmas pics posted in the gallery if anyone wants to check them out! :)
:cheer: Congratulations to PLC on the birth of your :baby: girl
What a beautiful name!
:hello: to everyone else, especially Jen (because you never forget me :D) and to Megsmum (who kept me sane through my last two IVF experiences;))
:bluedust: :pink-babydust:
WTH x
PLC - CONGRATULATIONS honey and welcome to beautiful April!:cheer:
To everyone else :grouphug: and big hug to Jen who also never forgets me! Hope all have had a good christmas and hugs and comfort to those for whom it was a difficult time with sad memories etc.
AFM: No good news I am afraid. After having my hopes go up and down a million times in the last five days after my hcg level of 21 on wednesday, AF has reared for ugly head today and I feel crap - very bad pains (similar to what I experienced with m/c although not quite as bad - bad enough for me to stay in bed all afternoon - not usual for me at all. I have to have a blood test tomorrow and if all back to normal probably start injections this week for a stimulated cycle. Although ready for this not looking forward to it as I felt so unwell last time and the outcome was not good (my m/c was with my first stimulated cycle).
:cheer::cheer::cheer:congratulations to plc on the arrival of april...welcome to the world gorgeous little girl....you have a hundred cyber aunties celebrating your arrival darlin....xxxxx :cheer::cheer::cheer:
Congratulations plc on the arrival of gorgeous little April.
:happyforyou::happyforyou:
You give us all hope!
congratulations plc
babymiracles...so sorry to hear you've been having a rough time with AF... I was so hoping you'd get a BFP this month...big hugs xx
Congratulations plc on the arrival of April :cheer: So happy for you hun!
babymiracles - Hun I'm so sorry that AF arrived :( I was really hopeful for you too. Take care of yourself OK?
WTH - I am so hoping that you will be joining me soon ;) and that you won't need that next IVF cycle!
A big hi to everyone else :) hopefully will be back for persies soon.
Congrats to PLC on the birth of April
Hello and  to everyone ...
Babymiracles - I am sorry that damn AF arrived and you are feeling so bad... hugs to you
Jen - Thanks for the info on FF, have just started charting my cycle in there this month so will go in and check it out. :)
Possums, Polly and Megsmum - thanks so much guys. Possums and Megsmum was so hoping to be belly buddies with you both. Fingers crossed that I will join you soon. Pains are less bad today - fertility nurse said they were probably so bad as the egg had implanted for a while. I am starting on my second stimulated IVF cycle - first injection tonight - feeling rather apprehensive but it will all be worth it if I end up with a BFP soon.
 and :hello: to jen, WTH, Mannie, Ruthie, Hannah, toccara, theresa, mel, issy, fifi, mollycat, tempus, jenuska, tutmae, smi, acria, erybery, dellydoo, tutmae and anyone else I have missed.
Withing everyone a happy new year - I can just feel lots and lots of BFPs for 2009 for us all!:bluedust::stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy:
AJC - Congratulations! :confetti: Glad you and Samuel are both doing well.
plc - Congratulations on the safe arrival of your little girl. :hooray: Welcome to the world April Virginia.!!
Theresa - I don't have any words for you, but just want to give you a big
lisa - Hope you caught that egg. :bluedust:
mollycat - Thankyou for the beautiful poem.
erybery - Sending lots of AF vibes your way! I hope she'll visit you instead of me. ;)
jen - Hope you had a great Christmas. Thanks for sharing pics. You have a beautiful family.
fifi - Sorry to hear it was your EDD yesterday. I'm glad you have a supportive DF.
polly - I don't temp so I can't answer your question. But I'm sending loads of :babydust-pink: anyway. 'Tis the season for miracles afterall.
babymiracles - I'm so sorry AF showed and is being hard on you to boot. But I'm wishing you loads of luck with the stimulated cycle.
:hello: WTH, issy, mel, possums, megsmum, toccara, krystie and all those I've missed.
AFM - AF is due on Jan 1. I don't really have any feelings one way or the other this cycle. But on Christmas day DH confessed that he had a 'feeling' this month. Then on Friday (which would have been about 8DPO if I o'ed on CD15) I had a small amout of (sorry if tmi) pinkish blood when I wiped. Dare I hope it was implantation? I don't want to get my hopes up like I did last cycle. At least there's only a few more days until I find out.
Hi, everyone,
I've just been reading lots of your threads this morning and have found lots of the opinions and information stated very comforting.
I fell pg in November whilst on the pill. When I discovered my pg in early December, my partner and I were thrilled. Sadly, I m/c on Christmas eve at 6 weeks.
We are hoping to try again as soon as possoible. We're seeing our GP tomorrow to check when he thinks it is ok to try again. I want to try again ASAP (if I o this month, then I'd like to try immediately).
I've been reading up on Pre-Seed and I'm about to go and buy some. Does anyone have any tried and tested tips that worked for them when TTC?
Thanks,
B
Hannah, it sounds like things might be going your way this month =) I will be hoping and praying for a BFP on New Years.
Sorry I haven't been around the last few days. I was so hopeful that I had conceived this cycle, but AF showed up on Saturday while I was at work. I was so devastated. I couldn't stop crying. Thankfully it was right around lunchtime so I was able to come home for a little while and get lots of hugs from DH. I've just been so depressed since then. Maybe we were trying too hard and stressing too much? Maybe it was too soon after m/c? Or maybe it just wasn't the right time. I know that's the case, but it doesn't make this any easier. This forum has helped me more during the last two months than I could ever say, but I just couldn't come here to talk about it because that would force me to think about it again.
I will be praying for all of you wonderful ladies and that you all get your miracles in 2009.
Hoping for 2009 - I'm terribly sorry to hear about your loss :( And what a horrible Christmas Eve it must have been for you this year. Hopefully next year you will be sharing Christmas Eve with a precious little bundle.
When I lost my angel my obstetrician wanted us to wait for 2 cycles. But I had to have a D&C and it sounds like you miscarried naturally (?). My DH and I were very keen to try again straight away too, and we started trying again as soon as I felt myself ovulating. Just remember that after a pregnancy and loss it can take a little while for your hcg level to drop back down and for you to ovulate again, so don't get too upset if it takes a while before your cycle gets back to normal. I think it took 4-5 weeks after my loss before I ovulated again. I definitely wish you the best of luck though! Some woman seem to be more fertile straight after a loss.
As for pre-seed, my DH and I tried it and it was quite good. I felt a little self-conscience when inserting it, lol, but after that it was rather comfortable to use. We didn't conceive during the months that we used it though, but I've heard a lot of more positive stories from other ladies on this forum :)
HannahS - Sorry that AF showed up for you :( And even more sorry that she had the nerve to show up while you were at work. So unfair. I sometimes wish we were able to find out why some things happen, and why others don't, and what life has planned for us. It's so hard when we are left wondering "why didn't it happen this month?!" when it's something that's wanted so badly. It's been said before, and it'll be said again... each cycle is one more cycle closer to getting your BFP and your already much-loved little bundle of joy.
HannahD - Oh honey, I will be keeping my fingers crossed that your DH's "feeling" is right on the money!!! I totally understand that you don't want to get your hopes up too high, but never forget the magical journey that you and your DH are taking together, and the wonderful destination that hopefully you will arrive at very soon!
Babymiracles - Wishing you all the best with your second stimulated IVF cycle. It sounds like you may have gotten very close last cycle, so hopefully the new year will bring you a wonderful new beginning!
Polly - Oh oh, now that you have started charting in FF you will become totally addicted! Lol! I thoroughly enjoyed temping and learning more about my own body and cycle. Good luck!
Toccara - Hi sweetie! I hope the festive season is being kind to you.
WTH - Hi missy. Good luck next month when you start your next IVF cycle! Sending you bucket loads of babydust. I'll even send you some little bags of babydust that you can discreetly keep it in your pockets at your doctor appointments ;)
Erybery - I hope that the mini-pill does the trick for you and that your cycles are back to normal once you finish taking the pills. Good luck when you start ttcing again! I very much look forward to seeing you announce a BFP.
Theresa - Honey I hope you managed to find some joy in Christmas this year. I know it must have been terribly hard for you and your family. This Christmas should have been a completely different experience for you and even I am angry that you were robbed of what could have been. I hope with all my heart that your next Christmas will be one of pure joy.
Acria - Lovely to see you back again sweetness, and I'm loving your positive vibe!
AJC - So glad that you and Samuel are doing really well. I absolutely adore the photos of him on facebook. He is such a handsome little boy! Seeing his photos makes me feel all gooey inside. Hehe.
Mel - Fingers crossed that your pains were ovulation pains and that you created a little christmas baby!
Jen - My gorgeous and fabulous Jen :) I peeked at your photos in the gallery and they are fantastic! I wish we had gotten a nice family photo, but in all honesty I totally forgot. I did get some pics of random christmas moments though, so hopefully when I get them onto my computer I'll find some nice ones.
Hmmm, I'm guessing you didn't get the book from me in the mail yet? Probably not considering I've been terribly slack and haven't quite gotten it to the post office yet, oops! I swear it'll be in the mail very very soon!!! Thank you so much for the lovely christmas card though. It was super sweet.
Oh, I want to add you to my facebook too, but I can't find you! If you look up my first name there's probably not too many to choose from in Australia, lol.
Hi to everyone else too! I hope I haven't missed too many persies. You are all in my thoughts. Good luck to everyone and I look forward to the new years bringing many BFPs!!!
Polly - got my fingers crossed for you, and hoping you caught that egg! After most of my m/cs my cycle returned to normal right away, but that could well be because I m/c at between 4 and 5 weeks. When I had my m/c at 11 weeks, it took about 5.5 to 6 weeks for AF to show up, and I'm fairly sure I didn't O that first cycle, as I usually feel it.
babymiracles - thinking of you chick. Sorry to hear about AF turning up, and hoping this cycle is beautifully productive for you. It's a difficult time, but I know you'll come through it, the strong, wonderful woman you are. Look after yourself.
HannahD - well, perhaps this is naive of me, but I think it's a good sign that you DH has a good feeling about the cycle :) I'm notorious for reading too much into things, but got my fingers crossed! And it is possible that the pinkishness was implantation bleeding, 8DPO seems the right sort of timeframe.
hoping for 2009 - I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. There's never a good time for such a thing to happen, but the festive season can be particularly hard. Wishing you all the best.
HannahS - I understand completely about breaking down when AF came, particularly at work. The same thing happened to me at one point last year. It was about the second cycle after a m/c, and then my boss yelled at me and I just cried, oh dear. Got you in my thoughts, and hope the next cycle is an AF free one, for about 9 months!
Krystie - Lovely to see you again also, and pregnant! You go girl! I am feeling very positive at the present, which is possibly because this is the first cycle of TTC again, and it's still all fresh and hopeful. I have a good feeling though...
AFM - Only a few days until AF is due. Strange things have been happening, so I'm just keeping track of symptoms in FF, and am determined not to test until AF is late..so Sunday I think. I've been exhausted the last few days and have simply had to stop and sleep for an hour or two, unable to function otherwise. I'm also needing to pee a lot more, including getting up one night, which virtually never happens. I've felt some of the deep pains in my breasts and stabby ones in my nipples that I had last time I was pg, and I've had a severe skin breakout. This includes *blush* a horrid big white head on my..*whispers* inner labia! My word was that uncomfortable! Even sitting down was awkward. What a ridiculous place to get a pimple! Thank goodness it's..well..taken care of itself and it almost gone now. Off to Canberra tomorrow to see the Degas exhibition at the national gallery with my family, and dreading a full day's work on Wednesday. I'm sure I'll be exhausted again, and the boss will not be impressed, especially since I'll have no reason to tell her!
Lisa xx
Hoping for 2009 - Ive never heard of pre-see what is it and what is it supposed to do?
Krystie love - Thankyou for all your big forum posts - you never forget anyone, it makes me feel special that someone remembers what we are all going through!
Hannah D - sounds hopeful!
Acria - Ill be looking forward to your post with good news.
Hugs for everyone else
AFM- only 3 more days of taking the mini-pill. I am hoping AF doesnt take days to arrive s I can hurry up and take the clomid and ttc. Seems like Ive been waiting forever...
Thanks, ladies,
Krystie - Thanks for your kindness, you're right, I did m/c naturally, and I think I may have had a blighted ovum as my gestational sac was only measuring at 4w on my six week u/s. My m/c didn't last long and was pretty much just like a normal period. Did you guys end up conceiving shortly after your m/c?
Acria - Thanks for understanding, Christmas day was absolutely awful, because we hadn't told any extended family yet so they thought I was just in a bad mood (I didnt want to tell them that day).
Erybery - Preseed is a vaginal moisturiser that I've read about on these forums which (as I understand) mimics the physical attributes of CM and allows the passage of sperm through the cervix (apparantly some lubricants hinder the sperm's movement). We're going to give it a go!
Thanks for your welcoming words!
HF2009
Hi everyone,
Wow, I have been guilty of lurking and not posting so I have heaps to catch up, I'll try not to forget anyone!
HannahD - Oooh, sounds promising! I so, so hope that this is your month. What a wonderful start to 2009 that would be. Sending you all the luck and babydust in the world. :bluedust::pink-babydust:
Hoping for 2009 - Welcome and I'm terribly sorry for your loss. What a terrible Christmas it must have been for you. Best of luck for 2009.
Krystielove - How wonderful you are to still be here to support us all and you have done such a great job of persies!
erybery - Sending AF vibes your way. You can have mine for this cycle ;)
Acria - :crossfingers:
HannahS - So sorry AF showed up - I wish she would leave all of us alone! Best of luck for 2009.
Theresa - Oh sweetie, I wish there was something I could say to take the pain away.
Babymiracles - :goodluck:
Jen - Great photos. I have to admit amongst all the chaos I forgot to take a family photo. I got heaps of my nieces and nephews though so that's the main thing. Thanks for all your wonderful support and advice!
WTH - :crossfingers:
Polly - Best of luck with FF - I soon became addicted but am having a break for now.
Megsmum - How are you doing?
Mannie & Toccara - How are you both? I hope you both managed to get through the festive season.
Smi - Hope that the m/s didn't prevent you from pigging out on all that rich Christmas food!
plc - Once again, congratulations. I bet your little girl is just gorgeous!
Possums - How are you going?
Big hi to everyone I have missed. Just because I haven't mentioned you doesn't mean you are not in my thoughts and prayers.
AFM - DH and I are going away for a few nights tomorrow and I have to say I am looking forward to getting away! Just going camping over New Year's but it will be so nice to be away from the normal routine. So I might not post for the next few days.
I have to be back on Friday for some more blood tests to check if I o this month. The FS said to have it on day 28 or 29 of my cycle but I think last month was a once off with me o late so I am going to test on Friday which I think will be CD24. Not sure if I am doing the right thing though? Should I wait longer and presume I am going to have a longer cycle (which I have never had until last month)?
I am still trying to be 'zen' and for the most part it is working. I have no idea what CD of my cycle I am on (I just had to work it out then) and it is a pretty good feeling. It means I am stressing less about when to BD and also when AF is due. After last cycle I have no idea anyway and I am no longer charting. It feels good.
I was pretty good on Christmas day except when everyone left and I had time to think, I then shed a few tears for my angel.
Thanks so much for everyone's advice and support for the last couple of months. Words cannot describe how much you have all helped me and I will be eternally grateful. xx
Anyway, wishing everyone a wonderful new year and may 2009 bring us all a :bfp:
Hi everyone
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their kind words during this difficult time. I am really struggling with it all and have not been coping too well. I have never experienced such turmoil and heartache. Sorry for the lack of personals but I just don't have the energy right now.
Thanks again everyone - your support has gotten me through this Christmas period. xxx
HF2009 - My DH and I had 3 unsuccessful cycles after our angel left us, and then we conceived again on the 4th cycle. I felt like it was taking a lifetime at the time though. We actually conceived on my first cycle going back to my acupuncturist and taking chinese herbs. Not sure if that is just coincidence, but at the end of the day I am happy for anything that might have helped give me this precious baby. Good luck with everything honey!
Good Morning Gurlies!
I had a wonderful holiday weekend...HOWEVER...I am officially green at the gills...m/s is kicking my butt! I am nauseaous 95% of the day...

Hi ladies!
Hope you're all adequately recovered from xmas/boxing day shenanigans. I managed to eat my weight in turkey, ham and crayfish/lobster and am only just starting to feel hungry again. I organised with my doctors to try to some off the steroids, but only after all the xmas food. So far I'm on day 3 and have been throwing up quite a bit. I'm hoping that it's just my body re-adjusting. Either way, I only have just over 14 weeks to go and I think I can manage that long. If I didn't have to work it would be a LOT easier. My work has no fans or air conditioning and the past two days have been around the 38 degree mark (not sure what that is in farenheit American gals, sorry) and absolutely unbearable, so I closed early yesterday and the shop stayed shut today. Heat + belly + vomitting = not very nice indeed.
That being said, my belly is huge and Charlie loves to wriggle and kick all the time. It's gotten to the point now where you can see on the outside when she kicks and she's started kicking DH a lot harder at night too. Heehee. Swinging between moments of panic (oh my god! I'm going to be a mum! I can barely take care of myself! aaaaaah!) to moments of calm to moments of just wanting to meet our little girl NOW! I just keep reminding myself "only 14 and a bit weeks to go".
Sorry, rabbiting on a bit. I'll blame the heat.
Smi: Hey hon! So glad (IYKWIM) that the ms has kicked in. I'll keep my :crossfingers: that yours stops when it's supposed to, unlike mine. Hope everything is wonderful for you!
WTH: Big big :hugs: for 2009 hon! It's your year!!
Jen: Same goes for you, girlie! Keeping everything crossed for a big belly 2009 for you! Bug :hugs:
KL: My goodness time flies doesn't it! 20 weeks already! YAY!! Big :hugs:
To the rest of you lovely ladies, I'm sending out big hugs and kisses for the new year! Hope you are all wonderful!!

Zachary's Mom - You absolutely do not need to apologise for not doing personals. Sometimes it is just too hard, and it's good to just read what everyone has written, and keep caught up. So don't worry your sweet head about it, just take good care of yourself, and know we're all thinking of you
smilanatu - haven't seen you since my return! Huge congratulations on your pregnancy!
hoping for 2009 - let us know how you go with the preseed! If I don't fall pg this cycle, I'm going to be getting a bbt thermometer, and looking into all these things.
Mel1979 - a few days away sounds like a great idea, and I love how calm you're being, most of the time ;) An excellent way to be!
WTH - And a happy new year to you as well! There's nothing like a fresh start to boost one's positivity :)
tutmae - Charlie's kicking sounds so exciting! The temperature sounds absolutely horrid, but it's defintely a good idea to have closed the shop and rested with your vomitting and the heat. Take it easy and give Charlie lots of tummy rubs from everyone!
AFM - Never have I been so glad to be home, and dusting my house! My DH, parents and sister all squeezed into my parents' car today and drove 3 hours to see the Degas exhibition at the National Gallery (well worth it btw! Beautiful and inspiring), but my Dad just cannot accept that he doe snot know his way around Canberra, and that it's not the same as when we lived there 20 years ago. Many arguments later, we all squished back in for the 3 hour drive home and 30km from Gundagai, I had to pee, badly! That was the longest 30km ever. Anyway, home now, dusting done and about to clean out the kitchen. I'm working tomorrow, and then going to my parents' house to cook dinner for NYE, so I'll have to leave DH the rest of the cleaning to do before tomorrow night. That should prove interesting...

Hey ladies!
We had our appointment with our doctor today, who I will miss, as he's leaving the practise and going to a public clinic (my appointment was his last). He assured me that my levels had dropped suficiently to start trying again whenever we feel ready (which for us is ASAP). He talked to us about the different ideas out there in the medical feild about conceiving straight after m/c, but feels that it's really an informed decision we will make together. So we'll have a month of "not preventing, not trying" and see what happens, we'll officially start next cycle. I'm so happy! I have hope for the next few cycles! We got pg so easily last time ( I think I mentioned earlier, I was on BCP) , and this has given me some confidence that we may be pg again within the coming 6 mths.
Who would have thought that a couple who was thinking "2010-the year for TTC" would now be so desperate for a baby!!!???
Mel1979- Thanks for your supportive words!!!
KrystieLove- Thanks for your well wishes! I can't wait for my BFP but I'd be thrilled if it came in four months like yours did, even though it will seems like ages, like you said! (although we won't try acupuncture or alternative medicines for a little while).
Ruthie - Thanks for your hugs and optimism, I can really use those! Can't wait til we get our BFPs.
Jen805- The appointment went well, thank you for your hugs and prayers! Hope things are going well for you.
Acria - I haven't decided whether or not to use the preseed we bought but I'll let you know if I do... I read a lot of nice testamonials about it on their website, but I was please to hear that the pharmacist has heard some real life success stories from regular customers (it's only available at selected pharmacies in Australia). She seemed pretty enthusiastic about the whole thing so, maybe :crossfingers:
Thanks girls,
HF2009
Just wanted to wish my Aussie friends a Happy New Year's Eve!!! :confetti: Saying lots of  for a mass exodus from this thread into the PAML thread for a new year's blessing for us all!! Wishing you all the happiest and healthiest new year!! Lot's of love! :loveshower:
Hi there,
Im new to this site just found it while doing some researching.
Me and my husband got married in august and have being TTC since than.
Week before christmas I found out we were pregnant than a week later I had a miscarriage at 5 weeks :crying:
Ive read all the articles and millions of web pages and just looking for some hints to know if there is anything I can do to help get pregnant faster and if because it was barely 5 weeks if I should wait to start trying again?
It was just like I had a missed period but a little bit more cramping. Lasted 2.5 days like my period normally does.
It really hit me alot harder than I had expected it to .
Also I read on quite a few sites that taking a small dose of asprin 81mg may help in conceiving has anyone ever heard this before?
Hi all, just popping in to wish you all a very Happy New Year with lots of positive vibes for everyone. Just remember tomorrow will be 2009 and a New Year with a new outlook. For all of us that have struggled through 2008, just remember that 2009 is the year for everyone's dreams to come true.
JenBug - :welcome: I am so sorry for your loss. I am not sure about TTC again, my dr told me to wait a cycle before trying again but I had a D&C and I was 11 weeks (missed m/c) so my baby did not pass naturally and we only found out he was gone at our routine appt in early Nov. I wish you a more successful 2009 and although I am only fairly new to this forum, the support from the ladies in here is just wonderful. We all know what you are going through and understand the emotions but try and stay positive. I can't help you with the aspin question though, maybe some of the other ladies might help you on that one. :)
Here's to all of us having our dreams come true in 2009

JenBug--:welcome: So sorry to hear of your loss! :comfort: It is a truly heartbreaking experience that I wouldn't wish upon anyone! I'm happy that you found us while researching--that's exactly how I came upon this site--and I can't tell you how much of a relief it was for me to be supported by other women who've experienced the same heartache, loss, sorrow, and pain as I felt. It's such a lonely experience anyway, but when nobody can relate to what you're thinking and feeling, it's extremely hard to pull yourself out of that dark place. I'm sure you'll find comfort and support here amongst the unfortunately too many of us that are here--this is an amazing group of women who care so deeply about supporting each other!
My dr. recommended that I wait 2 cycles after my m/c... I chose to wait one.... and am still waiting! But at least I knew when I was ready to begin TTC again. Have you had any BT's to confirm whether the hcg hormone has returned to normal? Mine took about 6 wks, but other's have returned to normal right after they m/c--but it's important to know, because until it's back to normal, you can't get pg again. I also started taking baby aspirin after my m/c because my dr. recommended it for the next time I become pg.
Hope that helps, and welcome, again! Here's a big  that 2009 brings you your forever baby!
Hi lovely ladies,
I know its been a while since I posted and have been guilty of lurking and glad to see plc had her bubba, how wonderful! :happyforyou:
Have also been thinking of you all even if I haven't posted for a while, was off the ttcing for while since my 3rd m/c and will be for a little while longer given my prognosis. I have hyperthyroidisim, which means my immune system is attacking my thyroid and my brain is producing more thyroid stimulating hormone than is normal which is between 0.4 and 4.00 uml, my test results showed 11uml. So my GP and Dr Gavin Sacks (who was great when I finally got to meet with him last week while in Sydney) have prescribrd Oraxcin to bring my thyroid levels back into normal range, however it will take several weeks of monitering and more blood tests, Dr Sacks said not to even consider trying until the levels fall back to normal or I will miscarry again. Thyroid function is extremely important, if its not in normal ranges then your body cannot support a pregnancy and its a common cause of miscarriage. So glad I know, all my other tests came back normal. Dr Sacks said that I have a 60% to 70% chance of a successful pregnancy next time so long as Im in the normal thyroid range. Such good news to hear....if we still have problems then we are to come back to Sydney to see him for more tests, however he thinks we have nipped it in the bud now. Dr Gavin Sacks is an immunoligist and specialises in recurrent miscarriages. Well worth a visit or a phone consult if you are not in Sydney.
One other good thing about this result is that the thyroid also controls your weight and metabolism I have struggeled with my weight for years not knowing why I couldn't lose and keep it off, now I know why. The tablets will also help in getting my weight down so 2 bonuses in one diagnosis.
My advice ladies is have as many tests done as you can if you keep having miscarriages, its well worth it. I used the list of tests provided on this website though not all of them, (that would've been my second set of tests) and other tests prescribed by head of obstetrics at Cairns Base Hospital.
There is a light at the end of the tunnel, keep striving for it ladies....your miracle is out there.
SMI - so glad all is progressing well for you.:stickyvibesgirl:
Mel - thanks for thinking of me, hope your doing ok too and 2009 brings you your miracle baby as it will for all of us.
I have also accepted another job, another Bank approached me for a position, better money and a change of scenary, so baby making is off the cards for at least 4-5 months, it will probably take that long til the thyroid levels come down anyway so all is going as planned.
I know I've not done personals and I'm sorry, will try when I get home next week, am still in Sydney and using my nephews computer, so best get off now....have a great New Year and be safe...wishing you all the best for this coming year of the Ox! Goodbye Rat!!! glad to see the back of you.....wasn't all bad, I did get married this year and it was a wonderful day....
Sending lots of :bluedust::bfp:your way ....
God Bless
