Trying to Conceive after Miscarriage or Loss April 2007

Well.. poo. AF showed her ugly face today. Feeling very down. I had to go to a big family easter thing today and face all the 'when are you guys going to have kids?' questions. Was very hard not to break down as no-one in the family knows about the misscarriage or that we have been TTC for nearly a year now, and I did not want to give anything away.

Not quite sure what is going on as I got to 19DPO this time and I usually have a 16 day LP. Having those horrible morbid thoughts that I will never be able to concieve and have something terribly wrong with me. But know that I usually end up feeling all optomistic in a few more days. Just wish it did not have to be so hard.

Sarah - sorry to hear that the witch showed up for you as well. Maybe we will both have better luck this month.

Bun - glad to hear that you are feeling a little better. Hope things keep improving for you and you get your BFP really, really soon.

Salt - good luck with the BD'ing. Hope everything goes well this month.

Sorry to everyone else, I hope things are going well, but I have not been reading all the posts due to staying with family for the last few days and I'm a little lost on where everyone is at!!

I have spent quite a bit of time playing with my lovely 6 week old nephew who is such a sweetie. Made me really really really want to get preg asap. I am praying so hard that it will happen this month. Hope that it happens for all you lovely ladies too!

Heybacko I found that a few days after my D&C I started to feel pretty OK but then seemed to take a step back which I think is something that is totally normal and we all move on and adjust at different times so don't rush yourself.

*las* I know what you mean about friends only being interested in themselves, I told one of my closest friends the other day about ME wanting to do a little goodbye ceremony for my angel and she started saying "yeah, WE have to do something don't we" I then told her that it was something I wanted to do on my own but she was then still saying that WE still have to do something together, now correct me if i'm wrong, but I was the one who was pg and then miscarried not HER (sigh)I know she meant well, but...

saltprincess nice to see you back, hope you had a great relaxing time. The TWW is driving me insane, I soooooooooooo want to test already but know I will just be wasting those LC pg tests, although, they are nice and cheap so it isn't like i'd be wasting a lot of money LOL. Glad to hear that DH is geared up and ready for the BD'ing to commence, good luck catching your eggie, it would be so nice to be BB again, and have them stick.
Leyla it must have been so hard to hold it together with family asking about when you are going to have children, I hope that you manage to catch your egg this month and get another bfp.

As for me, I am 7 dpo and already I am so tempted to test, I have 5 LC pg test dip stick style ones, but I do still have a few LC OPK's so may try and feed my PIAC addiction by testing with them in morning, just for the hell of it and to see if they can be used as a HPT. Hope everyone is enjoying heaps of chocolate, I have managed to restrain myself most of the day (we have been out all day though LOL) and haven't eaten that much. Talk to you all tomorrow. TTFN

Leyla - *hugs* it can be so hard at family gatherings. People really don't realise how hard it is to answer a blase question about having kids. I know that I will never ever be asking anyone about such a personal decision, because I know how uncomfortable I have been on the other end of these questions.

Happy easter to everyone else! I banned easter eggs from our house this year, but caved in on sneaking a block of cadbury dairy milk into the house - for medicinal purposes of course! I always crave chocolate when AF is here :)

Just popped in to day a quick hello & see where everyone is at. Farout when you miss a couple of days in here it takes ages to catch up & see what is happening. Well lots of bding going on over easter for me and am still going along with my charting, not sure that it is right but anyway shall keep going. Have had a UTI since Friday, that would drive ya!!!!!!!! Something I have suffered from since I was about 3, have had lots of tests nothing can be done, put up with it I spose, I have been a little concerned maybe why I struggle to fallas have to go to toilet as soon as bd, Dr orders I might add. I have chatted to my best friend about it & she says just to lay there for 5 mins then go, sometimes still causes infection, what do you guys think.

Any BFP's over easter? I am sorry for no personals but have to read up a bit more as I get a little confused. Will talk again soon

Herbie - that must be so annoying, TTC with UTIs. I think it is supposed to take not long at all for the spermies to reach their destination, so it is probably ok to go to the toilet right after BD and still get pg.

Leyla - sorry about AF arriving and the questions from the family. Gees, that is just the last thing you need atm. It really is so hard with family. I'm glad you can enjoy being with your nephew. I struggle when around my nephew which I hate, I wish I could just enjoy being around him without feeling sad, but I find it really hard. It will happen for you, and I hope sooner rather than later!!

janeo - you should def start looking at wedding mags and stuff. Even though the wedding won't be for a while, it is a great distraction and there are so many things to think about with a wedding! How exciting!

Well im finally back from holidays had a BLAST but missed BB and keep daily track too hard to keep up LOL...........

Well i got sick last night when i had some fish couldnt eat it gagged and got really nausuas so Andrew talked me into getting a test ARGH wish he hadnt cos it was -ve..... But im only 11dpo today and i got a -ve test at 12dpo only to get a +ve on 15dpo!!!!!!!! So still in for a chance..........

I have been looking at a mag i got the cosmo one they are SOOOo expensive so waiting until i get my ring to get anymore plus a friend has a heap for her wedding i can look at.... Its soooooooo exciting though....

Well i promise to do personals from now on.... HUGE HUGS TO EVERYONE!!!!!!

*las* my friend got the message that I wasn't going to let her be involved and she was OK with it (she had to be really) I actually performed my little ceremony last week, I found a party shop and bought 1 helium filled yellow balloon, I had printed off a little poem from the net, and then went down to the river in Penrith and sat very quiet for about 20 mins, I read my poem, then rolled it up and tied it to the balloon and sat there for about another 5 mins and then I just let go, I cried for about 5 mins and then I was fine and I just feel so much better for it and was so glad that I was on my own.
Herbie I find it really hard to catch up when I have missed a few days too, sometimes so much can go on in here even after I have logged in in the morning, then I come in again at night and can't believe how many posts there are to read, but I think it is great though. I had a really nasty UTI the other week and I was in so much pain I can't imagine having to go through that frequently it must really suck.

Jane - Don't worry about the -ve, as you said, you have had a -ve turn into a +ve after a few days. Maybe if you focus on wedding magazines and preparations, it will take your mind off the next few days, and time will fly by :)

Herbie - I found last year that I started getting similar problems after lying there after bd for a while (but I also got a BFP on that cycle). And since I have changed back to getting up and going to the loo straight away, I haven't had any more problems with UTI's, so I'm not sure if that offers any explanation. Hope you had a lovely easter too.

Well girls I have a small confession to make. When my cycle started like normal this month, I decided to use my last lot of clomid tablets that I have here from last year (and go completely against my current FS - but stuff him!). So I'm back in the race for one cycle. My DH and I had a long discussion about it, along the lines of:

Me: Honey, I'm on cycle day 3 and I have one packet of clomid, and maybe I should just take them this cycle, and if it doesn't work then I'll listen to my FS, but if it does - wouldn't that be great? What do you think?
DH: Of course it would be great, but doesn't clomid make you all ****ty?
Me: yeah, but I can handle any mood swings - it's only for one month. Ok, that's decided.

So really he had no say in it, only to remind me every day that clomid can be called the "divorce drug" haha everytime I get a bit cranky at him. Men!

So I'm terrified that it won't work and I'll be really upset with a neg result, but I guess we have to be in it to win it, right?

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG i can see a really faint line, I am fairly certain that it isn't an evap line as it came up pretty much straight away and I could see it there before the 5 mins where up, I have taken a pic but it is really difficult to see the line on the camera, I don't have a image hosting website for so can't show anyone either. I have compared it to my 10 dpo test stick from back in Nov (yes I still have them LOL) and it is about the same as that. so......................

Salt - I'm not sure what that would mean. If you can't wait for your appointment, could you speak to your OB on the phone?? Or, maybe see your GP in the mean time???

I have no idea what is going on here. OPK's last week gave me 2 lines, although the test line was not darker than the control line like it's supposed to be. We BD'd anyway. Over the weekend OPK's gave me no result on the test line, so hoping we might have got lucky. Had a surge in CM over the weekend, so very confused :( Will just wait and see, otherwise, only 3 weeks until my follow up appointment with FS.

Megsmum - Sorry to hear of your losses. I have had 2 m/c after a perfectly normal pg. Seems that I am pg again (6wks post D and C) and I am trying to keep positive about this one.

Bun - You sound so much happier. I know it will happen for you.

SP - Goodluck with bding. I can't help you about the spotting. It could be an number of things, such as you interupted your cervix, you have break through bleeding becasue your hormones are not balanced yet, ovulation pain!!!!! Best to ask doc. If you are concerned go to your local gp or call your ob and ask to talk quickly with him.

Sharon - Way to go girlfriend. I was thinking about your and SP this morning and hoping that we would all be belly buddies together again. Of course I would like everyone hear to be bb as well.

Did another hpt this morning and it is still +ve. Boobs have been sore and I feel a bit sickish (don't know if this is tummy bug though). Going to doc tomorrow is get bt. So far I am keeping positve, although yesterday I started to feel a bit nervous because all my issues started at 5wks/6wks last time, fingers crossed hey. Best go, I need a sleep and the only time I can sleep is when DD is down.

Well i am sooooooooo emotional today (i got really emotional at this stage of cycle when i was pg i cried after hearing of friends getting engaged) i haved cried twice over the bloody engagement ring what we want to spend/and he thinks waiting a few weeks before getting it maybe 6 weeks WFT (why did he ask me now then instead of later) and that i have made a appointment with a jeweller in Melb for Friday to show him what i want and get him to tell us how much or actually how big of a diamond we can afford..... Andrew doesnt want to go cos he is on earlys and with footy training this week and playing saturday and being sick of driving.. GRRR this is the only week we can get down together for another few weeks at least as he has footy saturdays and on lates...... Anyhoo after a good cry he gave in and is coming.... hehehe.
Also having niggly pains very central which im pretty sure i had last time but it seems soooo long ago now im finding it hard to remember...

SP - I'm not sure what that is, but at least you have your OB appointment coming up so can discuss it then. I'm sure it's nothing too serious, but that is frustrating when you just want to TTC again, without any hassles. :hug:

missbelinda - good luck with the last try on clomid! You never know, that could be the lucky one! You do often hear stories of people giving something one last shot before moving onto other treatment, and that turns out to be the one! I hope you will be another one of those stories. Good luck!!

Hi to everyone else.

I had my next tracking BT this morning, even though I am sure O is still at least a week away. The bloody nurses there just want me to get BTs done when THEY think O will happen, ie - CD14, but that never happens for me!! So annoying, because it just means I will have to have more done over the next week at least until O does actually happen. Only 9 days til my FS appointment, not that he ever DOES ANYTHING anyway. Sorry, I am feeling a bit down again today. So many BFPs, and although I am happy for everyone, I hate the fact that a BFP will never be an exciting thing for me. For me it means nothing, other than fear and the wait for it to end. It is just so easy for most people and they will never know this kind of pain and depression. I just want this to be over, I am sick of being strong and just trying again, I want it to work! Sorry guys, vent over...

saltprincess thanks hun, as for will I be able to wait till Friday before testing again "heck no!" :lol: I have enough tests to test everyday up till and including Saturday :p as for your bleeding, I am sure it is all OK, if it gets worse then maybe go to your gp, otherwise try not to worry about it and just continue with your BD until you O.
*las* some women get an increase in CM when they are pregnant because of the increase in progesterone (I think that's the hormone) so you never love.

I went to a friends place today and got a second opinion on "the line" and she said that there was definitely 2 lines so I am really excited, and will be testing again tomorrow, Thurs, Fri & Sat LOL (there is NO WAY I could've held off testing again till Friday)

Well we had a nice Easter, although it rained most of it. Still got a bit of gardening done yesterday though - it was nice to get out there because I don't do much now with an almost 3 year old. The most exciting thing that happened for us though is that DD has finally decided to use the toilet! YAY!! I'm so excited LOL Maybe I should get a life! Hopefully no more nappies for us in the not too distant future.

About me: I'm 26, Married on Jan 27 2007 (still love talking about this topic!!), DH is 31 and we are both full time shift workers, DH's daughter (from a previous marraige) is 4.5 and gorgeous and we have her as often as possible, 4 weeks ago we had a MC at 8 weeks and we were a little bit devistated.

Questions: Should you fall back into a normal cycle after an early MC?? If I'm all bloated and crampy but no AF (is that the right abbreviation??) shoudl I ask for a D&C??

Lisa - I get the same problem with OPK's. I think the only thing you can to is just keep BDing and hope for the best.

Sharon - Congratulations!!! How exciting!!! I'm so glad you tested again so quickly and put us out of our misery hehe. Don't worry about keeping your old BFP HPT's - I still have the dozen that I did last September - so we must be normal haha

SP - You be selfish all you want, we all take our turns at it - and we are here to listen and support each other *hugs*. The whole waiting game, and not getting the "right" answers is so frustrating. I also sometimes spot after BD but I've never really had it looked into - I figured that we were maybe a bit energetic (sorry if that is TMI). I'd hate to hear what excuse my FS would give me for spotting, he'd probably make me wait another 12mths before I'm allowed to BD again, or something equally as stupid!

Leyla - I don't know much about vitex either, sorry. If you try it, you'll have to let us know how you go :)

Lalla - Hi there! Sorry that you have had to join us. Feel free to share or ask any questions. From what I have read on here, our bodies all react different after having a m/c, so I can't exactly say what is normal. I can only share my experience - and I did have a D&C but still had a lot of clots/bleeding and discomfort for days after. I guess it's also a personal decision as to whether or not you ask for a D&C. I wasn't given a choice, I was told it was needed otherwise infection could set in and so I didn't really question it. You might have to get in contact with your Dr and discuss your options?

Megsmum - Sounds like you had a busy weekend with the toilet training business!

Bun - *hugs* hope you are having a better day. I sometimes think along the same lines as you.... if I get another BFP - will there be any joy in it? Then I get sad thinking about the answer, and just prefer not to think about it, and just experience it when it happens. This whole m/c business is just completely unfair, but surely there is happiness on the way for all of us?

Jane - Good luck with planning your perfect engagement ring on Friday. Are you planning to test before then or wait? What day is your 15DPO? I remember the day we went shopping for my engagement ring. We got engaged on holidays in NZ, and when we called my mother, she said to my DH that he was not allowed to come home without a proper engagement ring on my finger, so we went shopping the next morning before our flight home :)

Bekz - I have everything crossed for you, and I'm sure your BT will come back just as positive as your HPT. Congratulations again! I'm sure the nervousness is normal :)

las - I always have varied responses with OPK's, and only once ever got a really strong line, and I've been using them for 3yrs. I figure if there is anything at all, no matter how feint, then that is good enough for me, and some cycles I can use them every day and get nothing, and yet get a BT back saying that I did O - so it is possible to miss that surge. Why isn't this TTC business an exact science? It would make our lives a little bit easier if our bodies had a way of setting off an alarm clock in our head letting us know when we have O'd and when we conceive, so we don't have to suffer in the TWW :)

According to FF I am now 4 DPO..... My temps have risen so hopefully I wont have that huge variation I have been experiencing. Hopefully we timed our BDing right as well. Into TWW!

A huge congratulations to the girls who have had BFP. You can just see your faint line Sharon. Hope it gets darker. I hope everyone can leave this thread very soon.

missbelinda77 I am so glad that other people can see the line otherwise I would have driven myself mad. My due date is quite funny really, I always said I didn't want another baby due around xmas (both my boys are in mid - late November) and what happens, I end up being due on xmas day, although if I go by my O date then I am due on the 23rd which is my brothers birthday and we don't always get along so I decided to go with the 25th :D

My GP reckons my next AF will expel any others if needs be - does the silly man not know AF is not welcome in our house!:wall:

got up this morning an POAS and now I am not feeling very confident about yesterdays bfp the one this morning got a faint second line that came up pretty much straight away but then it disappeard, don't know what to think or feel atm. The +ve from yesterday was a pregnosis test and got a -ve on the LC test but this morning the Pregnosis one is -ve but I can see a very faint line on the LC. This is doing my head, why the F*** did I have to test early, coz now I feel stupid!

Hi Sharon, don't panic yourself yet xx

Remember all different makes of OPK test at a different level of HCG, and you can always get a false +ve but I don't think there is such a thing as a false -ve (I am sure I have been told that!!)

Also, remember that if your urine is quite diluted when you test it may not show up this time (didya wee in the night/early morning??) , also I would think a faint second line immediately is a good sign even if it did vanish afterwards.

If it helps (I know it doesn't!!), there are shed loads of us that would have (and do) test as early as you did, I know I would have done (ask my DH, we had several tubes of 50 LH & OPKs sat around at any one time:redface: )

I once tested 5 times a day for a whole week when we were camping in France because I was paranoid only me could see the very faint line (and yes, I was pregnant!!) - I have also used my OPK sticks at the 'wrong' times because I have convinced myself I am Oing!!! I am expensive when TTC!!

Lalla - Congrates on your wedding and sorry for your recent loss. Did you have an ultra sound? If so was there anything in your uterus? My first m/c at 6wks showed that it had dislodged from the uterus and was waiting to be expelled and therefore I did not need a D and C, my 2nd m/c was still intact and I needed a D and C. Everyone is different with recovery as well. It took 2wks post m/c and D and C for AF to come. Some people it can take a lot longer. If you are concerned go back to your doctor.

Bun - I hate it when docs/nruses try and tell you what "your" body should be doing. My doc always frowns at me when I tell her I O late in my cycle and she has a hard time believing that my LP is only 12 days. I really hope all these BT's find some thing for you though.

Sharon - Well at least you got a +ve one of your tests. Don't feel stupid at all. I am sure that you'll get a stronger +ve in a day or so. BTW I think I would be due around 12th Dec. Had a look at the website and there is a definate line hon.

Heybacko thanks for your kind words, I did a bit of googling and found out that if a line comes up +ve and then disappears then it is more than like a -ve. Also I got the -ve on the same brand that I had the +ve on yesterday (sigh) oh well, what will be will be. oh, and it was my FMU that I used and the last time I went to the loo was about 10.30 last night.
BekZ I am going to remain optimistic until I either get another +ve or AF shows up, but I can't help but think that maybe I am having a chemical pgncy. If I am pg we won't be in the same pg thread though but I think like in the september threads there will be a lot of us visiting to both Dec threads.

FIRST UP HUGE HUGS SP!!! That sucks matey but hold in there trust me it gets better. I know it doesnt feel that way but the best thing you can do is take a BIG deep breath adn say to yourself +VEly that it will be alright that your baby is still looking for your next perfect baby and that it isnt time yet but it will be.......

Secondly Belinda lucky you finding one so quickly could have KILLED DP for asking me the first day of our holiday and there wasnt any nice jewellery stores with rings i liked where we were.............

Thirdly welcome Lalla welcome i wish we could have to know you in another thread other then this... But huge hugs for you loss... Everyone is differently with there cycles coming back, mine took 10 weeks for a period then im currently on cycle day 40 having Oed 13days ago and no +ve test yet but not usually for me to have long cycles.... On the d & c if they needed to give you one they would have some people lose it without needing one, unfortunately i didnt but again everyone is different...

Ok so to answer the WHEN AM I TESTING??? DRUM ROLLLLLL LOL im testing Friday morning... Then mum and i are going shopping in Geelong for a ring then DP is meeting me to go shopping in Melb and have the meeting with a jeweller who im hoping will make my dream ring.... Im wanting a thin band that gets a little thinner at the diamond i want it to be princess cut and be a bezel setting (basically incased in the white gold) as i work with kids i dont want to sctratch them and get playdough, paint, sand and goop suck in and around the claw setting one..... So if i dont find one like this then ill get it made which will take another 5 weeks or so BOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!

Well i was sure Af was arriving last night i had niggly pains and really sore back but nothing so i guess i have to wait and see what the day brings and tomorrow and then finally FRIDAY!!!!!!!

HEHE MORE!!!!!!! I was thinking last night that if we are lucky enough to be pg then i could organise our engagement party for when we are ready to tell people and announce it there how good would that be!!!!

Janeo not feeling too confident about +ve any more, used FMU and PIAC again this morning but this time the same brand of test came up as -ve so :dunno: I think I will just wait and see what happens on Friday and if no AF will test again but I won't bother going to dr until I get a clear +ve.

I know i don't belong in here, but i just wanted to tell you I tested at 10DPO in the afternoon and got a faint line, then tested at 11DPO FMU and the line was fainter. Scared me as well. I've got everything crossed that your line gets darker.

Has anyone got a positive pg test 4 weeks after a d & c that was still from the m/c pregnancy?

Oh SP - I am so sorry to hear about your OB appointment. That is awful. Soooo much waiting - I know exactly how you feel. I started TTC in Aug last year too, and have nothing but loss to show for it. Sometimes it is just not fair and it is time something went right. Did he say that you can't TTC this cycle, or just that it is unlikely you would get pg? Looking at your chart, it doesn't look like you have O'ed yet, so you are not pg. Would he consider giving you the drug now anyway, if you can convince him that you have definitely not O'ed yet? The waiting is just awful, and I don't think they understand that sometimes. I am thinking of you :hug:

Sharon - :hug: The lines often vary in darkness and it is v possible to get a false negative, so don't lose hope yet. I know the waiting game is awful, I have been there, but we are all thinking of you and hoping it will turn out to be a sticky one.

Janeo - good luck with the testing and with choosing your engagement ring. I got a bezel setting too - the other good thing about that is less chance of the diamond falling out! It would be great to announce your pg at your engagement party! I am trying with the positive thinking but sometimes I just can't manage it, I get so caught up in all that has happened and start to lose hope about it all. Anyway, I will keep trying.

Jen- yay on O'ing! It's great to finally see a pattern in all the dots when you first start charting. Best of luck!

Bun - how frustrating that they want to test when they think is right. It took me ages to get mine to realise I don't do anything before Day 16 at least! Hang in there hun!

Sharon19270 - Don't lose hope yet! I could definately see that 2nd line on the other test! Hopefully it's just the different test giving the different result. Don't lose hope yet.

Megsmum - yay on your DD using the toilet!! It's such an exciting time, isn't it! DS TT recently and it's such a proud feeling seeing them use the toilet, although a little sad now that my baby is no longer in nappies :(

Lalla - hi and welcome! I m/c nearly 4 weeks ago too, I'm so sorry for your loss. You would have had the D&C done by now if you needed it. It's just your body slowly returning back to pre-pregnancy state...HTH!

Leyla - thanks :) We don't over BD as DH has MF...so doing it too much is useless as his best swimmers are in the first one or two goes (sorry, TMI!!). That's why we do ICSI cycles...but we thought we might just get lucky, he's been taking some zinc to try and help! Vitex is great for regulating cycles and I've heard it's great for increasing fertility. I think you can get it from a naturopath. Good luck!

Salt - big hugs sweetie xx You must be so incredibly frustrated :( I hope this sorts things out once and for all.

Belinda - That is all so true!! When we did a natural FET last year, they kept telling me a faint 2nd line doesn't count, we got to a point where we stopped getting that 2nd line and missed transfer...I was so mad! I think a strong 2nd line should be enough indication!

I 'think' I'm technically 8dpo, feeling a bit crampy, so not expecting anything really, we've never concieved without AC so would be crazy for me to think it would happen now. Just thinking about my FS appointment in a couple of weeks and planning for another FET when AF comes in May......and desperately trying to lose a few kilos between now and then!!

Thank you so much everyone for your words of encouragement it means a lot to me, but if I turn out to not be pg this time I will NEVER test early again (remind of this if I happen to be trying again next cycle).

Bron81 thank you for posting about what happened to you makes me feel a little more confident, it just shocked the S**t out of me to see NO second line when I thought it would have at least been the same, I did read up on the internet though that tests (even from same box) can detect different levels of HCG so maybe the one I used yesterday was one of the ones that was super duper sensitive.
Bun I know it is possible to get a false -ve just think it would happen after getting a +ve :rolleyes:
saltprincess good luck for when you see your regular Ob on the 26th. I have plenty of washing and housework that is supposed to be keeping me busy but I just can't get into it I HATE playing the waiting game (just like everyone else) I am such an impatient person (something my kids get from me unfortunately)

Thanks everyone for your kind words and support. I'm on nightshift at the moment so I've just crawled out of bed :asleep:!!! I'm heading over to see the Dr this afternoon, so I can fire all my questions at her.

I was a little rattled to read that is can take months for your body to get back into a 'normal' cylce. As you can imagine I'm eager to jump back on the wagon and start TTC ASAP! But DH is (as usual) being the voice of reason, there is no rush. Our lives have been pretty hectic for the past 6-8 months.... We've sold a house, renovated the kitchen, errected a pergola, got engaged then married 3 months later and somehow had the honeymoon from hell as well!!

Speaking of Weddings CONGRATULATIONS JANEO that's fantastic and such an exciting time! Your ring sounds gorgeous and very similar to what I wanted for my own, but DF at the time decided he wanted everything to be a complete suprise so chose the biggest dimond he could find!! Which happened to be a brilliant cut, claw set with 3 princess cut diamonds either side and all in white gold. It's beautiful and I've grown to absolutely adore it, although the size and setting can be VERY impractical (especially at work).

Leyla - Sorry AF arrived. When people ask just say "we are working on it". That's what we used to do (when I was married & tried for 8.5 years unsucessfully) and that used to satisfy most people and they very rarely asked further questions.

Herbie - I also go to the loo soon after (after getting several UTI's over the years) and I still conceived after 9 months compared with last time it took 3 years to conceive and I used to lay in bed for ages with my legs up. I don't think it really matters.

Janeo - I hope the next test is +ve.

Sharon - I'll say what I've said to many on other threads in these forums - don't test until your AF is overdue. This way you will not be disappointed with the results of testing too early. I know that's hard but I had to get that way after trying for so long - I found it's the only way to keep your sanity if you end up TTC long term.

Bekz - glad all is well with you.

Welcome Lalla. Sorry for your loss. I've read that your next AF should come between 2 to 6 weeks after m/c. Some women take longer but most are between 2 & 6 weeks. I haven't had mine yet but am hoping it will be soon.... or not if I get a BFP instead.

I had a great but hectic Easter. Have been feeling really positive until today. A workmate and his wife lost their baby yesterday. She was due in just two weeks time. She has a history of m/c but they thought she'd make it this time. I'm not close to this guy at all but the news just hit me for six and bought all the emotional stuff from 3 weeks ago back again. I did not expect to feel so sad about someone elses situation.... very odd indeed. I'm feeling good again now but am not looking forward to the first day that the workmate comes back.... what on earth do you say?????

I just wanted to say a hi to you all and hope you don't mind if I join in!
Over the passed couple of days I've read some of your posts and for some reason the thought of posting a reply was really daunting, but tonight I decided to get over it and just say hi, and tell you all how great it is to have a forum where there's such support!

I had a missed m/c for the 1st time just over 5 weeks ago now, I was 9 weeks, though my Dr said I had lost the baby at 7 weeks. It was such a shock, because there were no signs at all, and until then I'd never heard of a missed MC!

The last month has been up and down, there are times when I think it's all ok then there are days when I feel so sad. Easter was difficult because this is when we were due to announce to everyone - in addition my sister in law just had a gorgeous baby girl last week, so DH and I had to deal with the family inquisition of when we were going to produce! Needless to say I was greatful for steady flow of champagne!

Any how, I just wanted to say hi to everyone and am sending lot's of sticky vibes to you all.
