 hugs to you Kit
Hi Bons
DH is in the RAAF and it's just a training course. Couldn't come at a worse time though.
I guess we all got to deal with the ups and downs. Gosh I wish I could just wave a magic wand on us all and **** we are all UTD. As for all those ones who fall straight away we'll I'd just like to punch them for their thoughtless comments.
I had a nurse carrying on a conversation about her 10 week pregnancy whilst I was lying in recovery after my D&C. She would be first on my list. I'm dreading going to work tomorrow. But I guess I have to face it sooner or later.
Any who you ladies are just so positive and uplifting. I'm so very greatful I have found you all. You've all made me feel like I belong here.
FX we don't have to wait too much longer for our much awaited for BFP!
Hi Everyone!
Well i havent written on here in a while.. i am a bit of an obsessive lurker tho! i come and read everyones posts a couple times a day.. i love it!
I am so sorry for all the hard and sad times everyone is going through.. its so frustrating! I have heard from a couple ppl that had been TTC that they organised a holiday and ended up falling pg looking forward to it or whilst holidaying because they had stopped obsessing about getting UTD! So i think i am going to try that if im not pg in a few months. I really do feel like i need something to look forward too.. but theres the money thing and trying to get work off etc that hinders things a bit!
Welcome Porsche, sorry for ur loss :( i was 9 weeks pg when i started bleeding, went in for a scan and they found just the sac.. 4 days and a lot of cramping and bleeding later, everything had passed. It was an awful time in my life but i kept myself going because i stayed hopeful that i wld fall pg again straight away. Well 9 weeks later, 8 since i stopped bleeding, AF still hasnt arrived , and i have been doing weekly poas but its always a BFN. Very frustrating! So yes i suggest if AF hasnt arrived in 6 wks get an appointment with ur gyno to sort it out.. dont wait any longer then u have too :)
AFM still just waiting for AF to arrive, its been 9 weeks and im becoming more and more frustrated! I finally called my gyno on fri and he said to wait 1 more week and call him again if nothing has happened and he will probably prescribe me some medication to bring AF on. I just dont know why my body cant be normal! Ever since going off the pill 11 months ago ive had nothing but trouble.. AF didnt come for 4 months and then didnt disappear for 3! Finally started taking clomid, fell pregnant, had the mc and now just waiting waiting waiting for my cycle to start up! Hopefully it comes before friday so i dont have to spend any more money on appointments and drugs :crossfingers:
But guess wat! we have just bought a new puppy! We already have 2 other dogs and i really didnt think i wld have any more love to give to a new dog but i love her so so so much! she is gorgeous. i carry her around on my hip like shes my baby :) dogs bring so much happiness. i better hurry up and fall pg tho cos our yard cant really accommodate any more dogs!
We've also had my DHs sister and her family staying with us for the last 3 weeks, she has just had her 5th child and shes only 30! its so frustrating cos a year ago i was tellin her she shld have another baby so we cld do it together (silly me for thinking it was that simple for me!) A few months later she decided she did want one more.. and fell pg straight away! And here i am still trying!!! Her newest baby is just so gorgeous.. and i am appreciating all the practising i am getting at holding, burping, changing nappies etc. :)
Anyway enough from me! I hope u have all had a good weekend and this coming week is a good one. Oh and Ami make sure u tell us ur BT results when they come through! good luck! x
T - Hopes - A retroverted uterus doesnt make it harder to conceive, just harder for u/s, dildo cam usually makes an appearance for them....
porsche - I know what it is like having DH away, mine is Navy and on a course at the moment, before going away again :( and he is away for O this coming month and probably the 2 after at the moment.....
Kitf - Big hugs sweety! It definetly is ****, some people never understand how hurtful their remarks/comments are.
Alice - Hope your DH came home with the right foods, I get so cranky when im hungry, and yes Dh is away til friday, then home for a week before leaving again....
xxxx
Bons- that wld be really frustrating and upsetting that ur DH is going to be away when u 'O' My DH works away too, 3 weeks on, 1 week home, im a bit worried that when my body sorts itself out and i 'o' that he might be away, i dont think i cld stand it! i think if it does happen ill have to fly to wherever he is!! I wld hate missing the chance TTC!
Hello all,
Sooo behind again but i'll try a quick catch up:
Welcome Saffy and Porsche, sorry that you find yourself here but nice that you are joining in the chat.
Bons and Saffy: the age thing is tricky. The Dr who did my d&c asked how old i am when i said i was scared about running out of time. He commented "oh no, you're just a baby", (I'm nearly 35!) but he's an older dr and he said it with such compassion that it felt reassuring, like i really didn't have to worry yet. It's different when other people say it.
My other frustration is people who say: "well at least you have one healthy child". Of course I know that I am very lucky to have one but at the same time, this is often said to me by people with more than one child and i think "would you have been happy to stop after one child?" It just shows a lack of appreciation for our sadness at not yet having a baby we really want (which is the point as i see it).
T-hopes: Did you say that you are temp monitoring this month? How do you do it? Do you use an electronic thermometre and does it go in your ear or um...somewhere else? The temps people are mentioning are so precise. Is it the same time each day that you take it? (Cos otherwise how do you know that a change in temp of 0.4 or 0.5 degrees means something?)
Also, how's your dad?
Kitfaerie: i know what you mean. It's really hard to hear when other people effortlessly fall pg when you've had a harder path to walk.
Alice (Num num hope you got good food treats!), Jellylove, Reet (hope Af makes her appearance soon), JennaJayen, Ami (congrats and keeping fingers crossed for you), MurrayCod (Ouch on all the bloods), Loops, Ferrals, Crafty (nice to hear from you again, and hope you feel happier soon), Millyd, Mildez, Mathewsmum (any news??) hope all are well. Sorry if i've missed anyone.
AFM: Got together with DH's friends the other day. She is pg with third child. Just had 20 wk scan. She commented that she had been nervous before the scan and said "You know how it is...you're scared everything won't be ok". I tried not to pull a face as i though to myself "Um Yes I do know how it is...and it didn't work out so well for me last time" (bc my baby had no hb at 12 wk scan despite there being a hb at 11 wks). She knows about my mc but must not have remembered (her comment related to when i was pg the first time; with DD). She's a nice woman and i know meant no harm but i still thought "ouch, that hurt".
Hi Bon
I guess i've been pretty lucky so far as he hasn't been sent away as often as he should have been. But if we haven't got our BFP by then it will only frustrate me. More waiting as if we don't do enough of that lol.
Reet - I will def go and see FS/Gyn if AF hasn't arrived. I hope she will be a bit kind and come on time.
Possum Magic - I'm temping this month as well. I haa been for 4 months before we got pregnant. I use a digital thermometer with a 2 decimal place. I take it at 4:30 am every morning. I signed up to Fertility Friend too I can track it and they also have some very useful information.
That along with OPK's and clomid of course have been spot on for me. It can be a bit obessive though lol.
Kit, darling, sad thing is, we all know how you feel, thats why we hurt with you XX I think everyone here has a 'friend' like that,......... or lost a friend like that.
It's amazing how much they CANNOT hurt us when we don't see them for a while, I have avoided many a friend in my days!! To also realised I lost nothing in not seeing them anymore, but then, there are the really good mates who fall PG that are unavoidable....thet are the tough ones we have to tough it out with. But hey, they are the ones that will be as happy as we are when we get our BFP...or releived, no matter, those ones, are unaviodable............
THopes, yeah I'd probablly suck anything that was attatched to Robert Pattison... Don't assume anything girls, I'm talking about his earlobes!!!:D
I can't beleive how rediculously obsessed I am right now....like a teenage immature dizzy headed hormone affected nut head.
I have both the DVD's now which I have watched 3 times so far....and all of the books I have read once, am dying to read them again, they are so much better than the movies, but I'm trying to hold out until I do my stim cycle, so I have another world to escape too. I know that sounds weird, but it is a great world to be in, when trying to avoid the complexities of your own!!!
Saffy, sorry hun, sending full flow AF vibes your way....Great job about the going out for tea episode, gunna try that one myself!! Just kidding you, I do hope you feel alright today, looks to me you have a sweetheart of a husband though XXXX
Porche, I would of slapped that nurse, or reported her. That is such a no no what she did to you. Darling, you should never of had to put up with that. As a fellow nurse, I apologise for the lack of braincells and empathy she shows XXXXX
I am glad you find us uplifting, and feel welcome here XXXXX
Reet, OMG a new puppy!!!! Oh how lovely!! I love puppies!!!!!!!! Hey that should keep you preoccupied for a while!!! I have photos on my album of my fur babies.
It is a lovely gesture what you are doing for your SIL XXXX
Bons
Posummagic
Ionamacca, hope you are well honey XX

Have a good day all my wonderfull sexy girls XXXXX
oh beatiful ladies, I am so rude I havent even read your posts, I will come back later and do that. I just needed to unload. I am now in the 1ww and it has hit full fury this morning. I hate not knowing, isnt it the worst??!!?
My mantra for the week, or at least today is
"I will not test, I will not test" all this and I have so many days to go.
Love to you all, I hope I havent offended anyone, I just know you all know how it feels
Love and babydust and super glue style stickyvibes all round!!
Morning all.
Murrycod- i had to start work at 12:30 and i walked in the door at 12:32 lucky i only live 5min from my work.
Hope this is the last of your BT's until you start your cycle.
Possum magic-it hurt's dosn't it all the people who have been pregnant around me have been work colleges or relatives and i have had to endure the pictures of their 12 week U/S where they showed me and told me the baby is fine passed the nuchal fold scan all i could picture is Abbi's U/S where her nuchal fold was bad then the 18-20 scan's where they found out the sex and all i can remember is the pain of them finding all the abnormalities that Abbi had it has been awful it brings back all the painful memories i wish i could avoid all pregnant people.
T-Hopes-i have a retroverted uterus and the only problem i have with it is when having pap smears it makes it hard to get to the cervix but i have been pregnant 6 times so it dosn't effect conception.
Reet-crossing my fingers your AF turns up before friday sounds weird saying that here.
Porsche-What an insensitive nurse! i will tell you what is insensitive is when you have a stillbourne or late loss they still expect you to go for your six week checkup at the anti natal clinic where all the new mums are having their six week checkups with their newborn babies sitting in that waiting room i was so choked up i nearly hypoventilated it was the worst place for a mum who just lost a baby to be.
Kitfaerie-You know who real friends are don't you.
I have 2 good girlfriends who were trying to get pregnant when we fell pregnant then when we were going through all the testing and having to make the awful decision to to end the pregnancy they were on the phone to me almost daily to see how i was going and give me support and the whole time they were both pregnant it wasnt until they were 20 weeks that they told me at first i was hurt that they kept it from me but then i relised they held there own excitment in to prevent my pain from being any worse they are true friends and incidently they had their bub's two days apart.
Sadly i don't see them very often just different lifestyles and busy families.
But i found that they are a rare breed most people get caught up in themselves and either don't care about others feelings or are just plain insensative.
Mathewmum-How are you going hun i have been thinking about you are you still having your BT today or tomorrow i hope the bleeding stopped and your embie is nice and snug in there.
Millyd-join the party i won't test until the 30th i have promised myself.
Hello to all my other BB ladies.
AFM-4dpo and my hormones are going crazy i have broken out in pimples my skin feels so dry and crapy and i have the sorest boobs and lots of c/m (sorry TMI) i know it is way to early the embryo would not have even implanted yet (if there is an embryo) but my progesterone level must be cranking up there for my body to be going nuts like it is.
11 days until i bring Mowgli home and 10 days until i poas i think i wont test until the day i pick Mowgli up that way if it's a BFN i will have my furbaby to take my mind off it and keep my happy.
