Trying to Conceive After Miscarriage or Loss Jan 2010

Ferrals- it must be a relief to know that you've still got lots of eggs left, and lots of time to spend them, so to speak. The fact that you're now getting the AF you were promised a month ago makes it sound like your body still hadn't fully processed everything until now - but now it's catching up, which is good. I can't imagine how livid you would be at that nurse - I remember how I felt when I thought when I thought DH had thrown out Peanuts u/s photo.
Matthews mum - that's great that they've moved up your appt. Also that they are doing follow up with you, rather than you having to do all the work!
Ric - I always got my BFP's with Discover.
THopes - I live way out SE, Pakenham. I'm seeing an OB in Berwick, Dr Lopes. He's laid back in a "don't you worry about blank, it's my job to worry about blank" kind of way, but still acknowledged my right to be freaked and always ordered tests that seemed necessary. And has an awesome sense of humour - had me in stitches when I thought true laughter was something I wouldn't experience for a long time. /end plug. I've got my fingers crossed for the big veins! And just think of all those babies created by alcohol...
TTCALC - JEALOUS! It's taking you like a week to get the sort of drop I'm still waiting for after 2 months! That does sound right about o'ing, as long as there is hcg in your system, your body is going to assume that you are not in need of any more eggs, so to speak.
This is already quite long - that'll teach me for staying away for 22 hours! Hello to all those I've missed - stay strong.
AFM - It's Thursday, which means I've got to go see the vampire. I'm estimating about a 65.

mummyof4 - thanks for responding, doubt i will have any anyway, might just do the fake drinking ie orange juice mixed with lemonade - looks like champagne!! good little trick! I havent had a single drink since June 09 (b4 i was pregnant) just doesnt feel right to drink cause i 'should' be 29 weeks right now :shakehead: PS funny story about CM, my DH calls me the bank teller and all he does is make deposits! lol

Im kinda shocked to hear about others still up there over 5 weeks and mine has dropped pretty quick like in a week... Hoping to start my cycle fast to so i can pinpoint when i will be doing the BIG O..Then DF is in Trouble..:dance:

what is even funnier is he never really was concerned about the BIg O or AF but since this has happen to us and we only got a 2-5 day chance of conceiving a month DF was like when does all this happen; its new month.. So that made me feel good that he is still wanting to TTC after what we been thru and also wanting to be part of all this Big O'ing and all ;)

I should be starting my cycle anytime soon.. should be!!

Just butting my nose in briefly, I noticed a couple comments re obs and living in the eastern subs. My DD2 was delivered by Peter Tang at Knox private hospital. He was fantastic and if I was still living in the area, I'd go to him again for this one. As it happens, I'm seeing Charry Hemmings at casey gardens in narre warren and she is fantastic. No nonsense, very informative and understanding. She's a GP obstetrician so can't deliver multiples or do surgery but would be there all the same. And when I told her Peter Tang was my doc for previous baby, she was pleased as she said he is a personal friend of hers and that he's really sweet (I thought he was too!).
ps. I wouldn't go back to Knox hospital though - the midwives I dealt with seemed to know less than me and when I passed a 10cm piece of placenta 2 days after the birth after being told that the placenta was whole at birth, they didn't get concerned and it took 3 midwives being told for my doc to finally get told and he freaked out and got me on antibiotics immediately. I believe the midwife had checked the placenta and told him it was whole, perhaps he should have as well...

Cookie my DH put the treadmill together in our second lounge, so I can watch TV and walk at the same time! It is a fold up easy to move outside if I want, but I am having trouble picking up naughty DH dirty washing off the darn floor ATM (right next to the basket mind you:wall:)

AFM, I have ultrasound tomorrow morning at 0930hrs, and bloods to be taken after that!
Repromed girls rang thismorning to see how I was going with the injections, I told them I was becoming quite uncomfortable in hte tummy area, feel bloated and stiff, they recon I prob go for EPU on Monday if eggies are good. (feels like they are, would hate to feel them get any bigger!!)
Had my last day at work yesterday, I now have 3wks off to relax, and hybernate in my own bubble for a while. My cyber bubble!!

all those trying to get the DH sorted out go get um girls funny how they all seem scared around day 14 of a cycle and sigh with releif around day 18 mine too but as you say differnent story when they wake in the morning pitching a tent and expecting us to perform !

T hopes can't beleive we MC within days of each other and now in the TWW together lets hope we can carry on and be belly buddies together !

AFM well still not sure whats going on felt nauseas again today and feels like someone keeps sticking pins in my boobs every now and then keep checking to see if I got something in my bra ie crumbs or sand or something :ROFL: guess its just wishful thinking but like ferrals said my AF and pg symptoms are so similar so have no idea as yet but only a week till testing ( I will be strong I will wait ):D

Murrycod-we are off to sussex inlet down the south coast we have a beach house for a week so a week of quiet, beach walks ,games, picnic lunches, dinner out every night we have one TV so that is going to be a challenge with my 3 boys DH daughter and my son's girlfriend so we are taking the wii for back up you might be wondering why we are taking all the kids i think i said before we all have had such a stressful year with the loss of abbi and all the dr's appt's and geneticist appt and ivf ect and my boys did it hard to so this is a week for all of us to relax and enjoy and remember that life is supose be fun and DH and i have decided it is a week of yes we wont say no to anything within reason what ever the kids want we will say yes even it is lollies for breakfast
DH and i are going away for a weekend to the gold coast during the year anyway good luck with your U/S hope you have lots of big follies growing.

Craftmummy-LOL with the pitching a tent remark my DH had one this morning and i though what a waste and you can add a small photos to your ticker on some ticker sights or i go to photobucket and you add photos by making an album once you register it is free and then it will give you a code to use it was the IMB code you copy the code and paste it on to your next post it takes a bit of fiddling til you get it but give it a go go to Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket oh! you have to have to photos in your computer first to load onto photobucket.

Hey girlies! We've got 5 more days over here, then a few days in Melbs with the in-laws, then home! It's been such a good holiday!

Today is my official all-clear day :dance: pop those streamers girls! I can't believe I made it - 6 months ago it seemed like a life sentence to have to wait so long, and as you girls all know, it hasn't been easy, so thanks so much for all your support. :grouphug:

Now, time to get on with some baby-making! I'll be testing before w leave Japan, but I really don't feel pg, so I don't think we'll get anything. But it will happen soon! Stay tuned!

Well The Doctor canceled my Appt for today since we are like in a snow storm .. My next appt is Jan 26 Grr that far away...

So i guess me and the DF will be :dance: till then..

AF should be coming for me if my cylce is going to start right up as normal but its irregular as to having 2-5 days of AF..

I just wish she would come so i can get back on track.. but again till then we will :dance:

Mathewsmum-do they know how your tubes became blocked as you were pregnant just over a year ago and have had children already i was wondering how it could happen.

Matthew's mum was the dye done in a HSG or a lap? Its just I have heard that the HSG isn't as reliable for determining blocked tubes as the lap and dye is.
ric hope AF doesn't show and you are pregnant it just hasn't revealed itself yet. I got a stupid BFN too. Well 3 actually.
murraycod I hope your sacn went well today.
I am waiting for AF then onto the next month. Just researching into which IVF clinic I am going to use. I have three options.

ferrals-they said it could be a 'build up of things over the years',after matthew came away there was heaps of bleeding,so they said some could of went up instead of out.Before my loss i feel pregnant very easily,docs at 1st said with menopause approaching things slow down so that where clomid came in,according to blood,urine test clomid was doing what it supposed to do,on the u/s eggs were visible.I'm seeing my fs next week to ask some ?..Emmy-It was hsg,they did say some doc's do a lap to confirm,sorry about bfn,good luck with your options you have...

And you deserve the weekend away to the Gold Coast, you and the family have all been through so much.
I can absolutely appreciate what you went through now with your cycle of PGD IVF, the high hopes one day then bitter dissapointment the next. Not only the emotional toll, but physical, OMG!!! Had no idea, have no idea how you were able to do what you did, and love and look after your family at the same time. You should be a very proud woman!!!X

Well anyways, thanks for asking ladies, I had my scan done thismorning, and my bloodwork. Should have all official results thisafternoon sometime. But we counted avg 10eggies on each ovary, left ovary was the most success with average size 18-22mm. Right side average was 15-19mm. No wonder I cant even walk properly.

Ferrals were you in this much discomfort before EPU?? It hurts to walk, sit, OMG driving over bumps is agony:o, and almost passed out when I sneazed thismorning. Still hve constipation and have been drinking lots, but I can't seem to be holding fluids in, my bladder feels like it is getting shoved over and I'm peeing ever half hour!
Seriouse I am definately not complaining, it is so worth all of the discomfort and needles, I just had no idea it would be this uncomfortable! Am I normal ferrals :lol:

Got my hcg result this morning. 86. At this rate it's going to be JULY before I hit negative. I don't know if I can take this anymore. Losing the motivation to want to bother with any of it anymore.

murraycod- sorry your in pain,your right it's all worth it in the end,just a shame something so beautiful is so painful...cookie-sorry your numbers weren't lower,you'll get there...

Murrycod i had 24 follicles ranging from 17mm to 26mm they like them to be at around the 20ish + to contain muture eggs so they will try and get those others to catch up i had a heap at 17mm they wanted to give me an extra day or to for them to catch up but my E2 sky rocketed to 16,000 so i had to have my trigger and we had 8 big enough that had mature eggs the others just diddnt have enough time but i certainly felt uncomfortable walking and bending over was a definate no no and coughing and sneezing hurt so yes you are normal and i was peeing all the time like i was 39 weeks pregnant with triplets but keep up the water it helps keep OHSS away and the pain after EPU is worse and OHSS i have heard is unbearable not trying to scare you but just make you keep drinking water and yes it was difficult going through it with work and my DH and kids to look after and housework but we are women and we can do anything so thats why we are taking the kids with us they deserve a holiday aswell but thanks for the comment i got a head swell over it i cant wait to see your results.

AFM - I am struggling today, Dh is away for the night and i am really down. I am just having one of those days where i wish so badly that me(and all of you wonderful ladies) were not in this situation. I know these raw emotions are all coming back because of my EDD this coming friday, but it doesn't make it any easier. I am sitting here crying as a i type this and just realise all over again the pain and loss is something that i will never forget. Sorry to have a vent, just these overwhelming emotions have flooded back and i know you guys understand. xx

EDD time must be so hard... mine isnt until March and I dread it already... its just not how its suppose to be huh?! I often sit here and try to picture exactly how far my tummy would be popping out etc... its still all so very raw :shakehead: maybe try and get an early night, your probably exhausted from all the emotions... sending you huge hugs gorgeous... stay strong... xox

Murrycod-almost there girl do you have a wheat pack that can be heated up it helps with the cramping after EPU you are on the exact dose i was on how many orgalutran injections did you need i had 9 all up very expensive i want to wish you all the luck in the world and prepare you for the waiting which gets worse from here the wait for your fertilisation report and then the 3 day report to see how many make it and what grade they are at are you going to day 5 blasts if you do then theres an extra 2 day wait oh my lord how did i do it i am soooo impatient but i think you will fly through it and get your BFP very soon.

Sparkles- we all have those days and those feelings vent away the EDD is not easy try to do somthing for your bub that will make it a special day we brought a beautiful candle and we light it on Abbi's EDD and will light it on her 1st B-Day im not sure if you saw the post i did months ago with Abbi's memorial teddy, and the frame with her U/S pics and her little cardi and beanie and booties but we put all that together and on her due date we lit the candle and i new she was with me i also wrote a poem to her anyway it helped me i hope you find your way to get through this painful time.

4 days ago i had my third MC since trying for our third baby and am totally gutted as this :bfp: took us just over a year, i cant believe it happened and feel so totally alone :(

Cookie36 have you done any research into how to get your levels down quicker? i think it's snugglybean that is best to ask advice for on that. i think she got her levels down pretty quickly by eating the right things and stuff.

TTCALoveChild after a m/c sometimes your cycles can be all messed up and can take a while to get back to a regular cycle. i think ric had a 50 day cycle once!

afm, well guess who turned up today? i am quite disappointed but i'm really trying to stay hopeful that next month will be our month. if not then will have to put ttc on hold for 3 months to fit in with our trip to the uk for christmas which i REALLY do not want to do.

I have had 4 orgalutran inj so far tomorrow will be my 5th and last. Started the FSH on day 2 cycle and orgalutran on day 7.
Going to day5 blast, things feel like they are flying by ATM, will come to a complete stop during the TWW though I'm sure if we get therre X

Thopes I love cranberry juice!! Will get some tomorrow!! Also good for the bladder. Thanks for the advice, I don't remember ever having constipation ever, and it is awfull!!

Sparkles and Thopes we will all be here for you on your EDD's. They can be very hard to deal with, but I found it was a closed chapter in my grieving process too, I will not ever forget about my little angel, but my EDD was a time for me to finally move on and accept what had happened.
I hope you both can find some sort of positive out of it when you have to, but I know it can be completely heart wrenching at the same time. Remember we are all here for you XX

Sorry i have not been on for a little while. You all thought i'd left you, didn't you? LOL. Just been seeing family off after the hectic christmas period, and catching up on unpacking from moving before they got here! I haven't had time to scratch myself! haha.

Charliemarina - welcome babe. the struggle with losing a baby that you so dearly want is something that just can't be explained to other people is it? I'm sorry for the most recent loss. A good thing about this forum is that all the women here understand what you're going through, and the struggle in ttc. Feel free to open up to us at any time, no matter what it is.. even if you feel its too much information. We share everything and I really think it helps to have that safe space in here. Good luck in your next month of ttc. I hope it works out well!

SPF - stupid AF! how dare she show up and ruin your plans to create a mini-you! Well at least you're on a new cycle now... save your energy this week girl - cos you're gonna need it for all of that BDing very soon!! hehe.

Murraycod - pear juice is also very good for constipation. I can't drink it cos like T-hopes i have IBS and its just one of those things that gets things going 'too fast' for me. But my mother and grandmother also swear by it so its gotta be good? I also get glycerol suppositories. When its been a few days and I haven't been able to sort things out I use one of those to get the ball rolling. Best thing ever.

wow - i'm soo sorry ladies that i have to cut it short here... i have DD who may have wet the bed (she's woken up upset)..

Sparkles - I know how you feel, KT's due date was just before Christmas. I was at work having to pretend everything was ok - and I blew a tyre on the car - man I was a mess. And now I get to look forward to Peanuts' in May. Take some quiet time to say goodbye - whatever is right for you.

SPF - sorry that the witch has come to you - I think she got lost on the way to my house! But a new cycle, a new chance to create a little bundle.
Ciara - had to get up at 3am last night. Our little pup wet his bed and then cried until I got up. Would have made sense for him to cry first - then I could have let him out! It's not just the little persons who do these things.
AFM - I'm still cramping. Been cramping for a month or so now. Which is odd, cause I don't normally cramp, so I'm starting to worry something is wrong considering my hcg drop is slowing...

Cookie - i know you've been getting tested and keeping on top of things medically, but can you find a different doctor or something?? I just feel like something's not being done right.. does that make any sense? I mean, cramping isn't really a good sign and with the hcg levels playing up... is it possible that you still have some 'tissue' left inside somewhere causing these hormones or something like that?? I hope things are ok.

And yes, you're right.. it isn't just little people that wet the bed. haha, too cute about the puppy. I agree with you, wish they'd cry first! But DD doesn't do it unless she's scared, too tired (like she fell asleep on the couch and i couldn't wake her), or if she has a uti. This time she was exhausted from an afternoon full of tickle wars and wrestling with myself and my DP. lol, we had a ball.

Well I am still in my tww, and of course I caved just like Emmy and tested early. Yep, bfn. There was a slight pink line there.. but I'm saying bfn cos it was ever so slight that it could have just been a shadow of a line. I'm sure if it's a bfp i'll get it in a few days when i test again. I haven't really got any symptoms anyway, other than the ultra sore boobs which i've had for over a week now.

Ciara - I like the ob I have (and it's hard to find med staff you like out here!). I had a u/s done at the beginning of Dec, which showed I was all clean. I keep forgetting to mention the cramping when I speak to my ob's office (partly cause it always conveniently stops a day or two prior!). I imagine that if next weeks test doesn't show a marked improvement I'll be asking some more detailed questions. But right now, I'm sick of being stuck and prodded and poked. The u/s (internal) went on for about 30 minutes! And I now have a nice big bruise on my arm.
I wouldn't think to much of getting no symptoms. Some people never get any. I didn't have any before kt. And I had symptoms before Peanut. go figure. But I've got my fingers crossed that the "shadow" is the start of something good!

cookie - i completely understand about finding the right med staff. if you like who you see, stick with them. I hope this 'issue' is sorted out really soon. Its so frustrating isnt it? And thanks, i hope it turns out to be something more than a shadow too. only time will tell. but i'm not being overly hopeful just in case. I will let you know once i do another test in a few days time.

Thanks girls... Yeah it makes me frustrated that they would wait on the day i was suppose to go to tell me that got to cancel now gotta wait another 3 weeks to get in.. :wall:

I wish we could check our own levels..LOL so we can know if they dropped any more..

50 day cycle?? Oh my i will deff me hitting the :wall: i just hope mine starts sooner. its going on the 9th and No AF yet.. plus like you said it could take awhile its only been 10 days since lil :angel:was taken.. :shakehead:
