Sorry I have been guilty of lurking the last couple of days
I don't think I can possibly catch up with persies but I will try......
Karen - Wow, Congratulations! Wishing you a H&H 9 months. :stickyvibesboy:
Jen - So glad you can still post - what would we do without your support and advice?
erybery - Totally understand the confusion - isn't it frustrating! Agree with Jen though, you must be about to o so anytime is a good time. Hope you catch that egg!
shortcake - :crossfingers: :noaf:
Polly - Awww, hun. We all understand. This journey is an emotional roller coaster. I know one minute I am top of the world and all zen and the next I can be in tears thinking why is it so unfair??? Hope you enjoyed some time with your DH.
Ruthie - Woo hoo! So happy things are starting to look up for you. Great news about your mum! Hope the FS can give you some answers and help you on your ttc journey. Best of luck.
Big hi to everyone else, sorry for lack of persies today
Been to a 1 year old's birthday party today (my best friend's little boy) so I am emotionally drained. Once again DH and I were the only childless couple *sigh*. I know I should stop feeling sorry for myself. Gee, it is so hard sometimes :(.My best friend is so sweet, she kept asking me if I was ok.She is has been such a great support through all of this when I finally get my BFP I'm not sure who will be more excited - her or me - actually it will probably be DH! Anyway on a brighter note my op has been moved up to the 10th of Feb which is before o that month so we won't miss out on that cycle. Bit nervous, not about the actual operation but about what they may or may not find. We are so DESPERATE for some answers (not that I want anything to be wrong either iykwim?). Time will tell I guess.
All I can say is bring on the BFP's - let's make it a record month/year so we can all move to the PAML thread!
-
Hi everyone,
You're all so much better at responding to individuals than me yet ~ sorry!
Karen van - thank you so much for your sharing the story of your lovely monument. I have tears streaming down my face. There's synergy in the ebb and flow of cleaning and renewing. Congratulations on your brand new :bfp:
Mel1979 - it's so tricky being 'without' when everyone around you is 'with'. I know just what you mean about the emotionally draining side of putting on the 'happy face' and going out in difficult public situations! How lucky you are to have such a terrific 'support crew' around you.
Jen - it's so funny reading your trials and tribulations with smilies, etc! You've made me realise there's way more to all of this than I had realised!!! (and I've got my first question this time, too!)
Hannah - my DH is totally up with my dates as well! When we were trying for newbie because it was leading up to and just after our wedding (in October) we lost a bit of spontaneity ~ he was nearly as bad as me as to which days were best! But, he said last night he's ready as soon as I am to TTC again. He's more supportive than I could ever have wished for.
AFM - We're just breathing together at the moment. Taking one day at a time. We all went to a local market today and then to Bunnings (big hardware and gardening shop here in Aus) for bits and pieces. We've had a lovely time together, and thankfully the small boy seems to have gone off to sleep without too much bother tonight. Since Christmas he's been all over the place, in much the same way as me, so hopefully we're both on the mend now.
Hello to everyone else - hope you've all had sensational weekends. :D
Take care.
-
Sorry been lurking for last few days. Finding the 2ww very stressful this time and haven't felt up to posting
Chappas - Wow honey I am sooo happy for you. What wonderful news - wishing you a happy and healthy nine months :hooray::leap:
Karen Van - congratulations to you too. Wishing you all the best:happyforyou:
Erybery - With the OPKs - the test line needs to be as dark or darker than the control line - once you have this it means you will ovulate in next 24-36 hours - but as Jen said once you get this result - go for it as you want to BD before you actually ovulate - once you ovulate eggie only lives about 8 hours so then it is narrow time. If you have two lines but test line is lighter than control - ovulation is still a bit away so keep testing. Hope that helps - you probably already worked that out already though
Shortcake - fingers crossed
Mannie - thanks for thinking of me. Will know something in just over a week. Hope you are doing okay . Good for you for doing the weight watchers thing - and good luck with losing the stone. I am sure you can do it :-)
Jen -
Polly: think you also need a  Hang in there sweetie - things will get better
Hannah: how are you doing? Hope things have been looking a bit brighter for you. Have you been to your doctor yet?
Ruthie: sooo glad your mum is okay and things are starting to look up for you.
Possums: Hey honey - how did the scan and blood test go last week - have been thinking of you
To everyone else - wishing all the pregnant ladies the very best and lots of sticky vibes. Those trying to conceive - hang in there - and fingers crossed for more BFPs for January - it has certainly been a good month for this thread in this regard so far!
AFM: Transfer went well - had lovely blastocyst transferred wednesday, and got a few frosties to add to my frostie bank! Had to have a couple of blood tests to see if I needed the support injection - first one day after transfer was high progesterone (550) and oestrogen (4.4) and then two days later (yesterday) it had dropped a lot progesterone (110) and oestrogen (2.6) - so they got me to have support injection. Last stimulated IVF cycle I felt really unwell by this time but this time I feel fine. The nurse said the drop in levels means nothing - too early but off course I am seeing it as a bad sign and although I started off feeling positive about this cycle and not feeling at all positive anymore. Had a very 'black' day yesterday - but a bit brighter today. As you all know it is soo frustrating and I can't help wonder if it is ever going to happen for me. I really want to be a mother - but maybe it is not meant to be... Sorry just feeling a bit negative at the moment!

Karen van--So glad I'm not the only one! My question this time: what number comes after 10? I can deal with the technical questions as long as I have my colors and my smilies, tho! lol... although I'm missing the photo gallery, and I check it several times a day for updated pics! I also wanted to say that I love memorial you and your DH created for your little  It's sounds like the perfect spot to lay your little one to rest.... and someday you'll be able to go back and visit, when the time is right, and feel peaceful and comforted there. God bless you, Karen!
Mel--Glad to hear your op was able to be moved up, and that it won't affect your ability to TTC! While I  they don't find anything wrong, I hope they find some answers for you! IKWYM, tho, about how you want answers, but you also don't want anything to be wrong... then you feel like if nothing's wrong, then why is this happening? It's a catch-22.... I'm also very glad that you have such an amazing support group backing you all the way--your own little cheering squad! Keep hanging in there!
meh--Glad to hear you're spending time with your family and are on the mend. Saying lots of prayers for your DS, who has to be confused with what's been going on... it's a tough time for us all, but for a child it must be so confusing!
babymiracles--Congrats on your blastocyst transfer! Saying lots of  for a BFP success!! Sorry to hear your TWW has been so stressful-- sounds like you could use a big  At least you're feeling better this go-around! I have so much faith that this is going to be the year you become a mother--it will happen--stay strong and keep your faith, hon!

Mannie - Goodluck with weight watchers. Of all the diets my mum has tried over the years, I think she enjoyed weight watchers the most. And it worked too. I hope it works for you too.
Easha - Hope the BT results bring good news. Yay for a little black dot. It may not look like much, but that's your baby. :stickyvibesgirl:
Polly - I can relate to O time being hard. I still can't decide whether O time or AF is a worse time for me. At least at O time, you can still do something - there's still hope. I  you get some good news in a couple of weeks. :pink-babydust:
Karen van - Congratulations on your BFP! :happyforyou: :stickyvibesboy: Thanks for all your well wishes.
Shortcake - 3 days late is promising. :crossfingers: you get your BFP.
erybery - I can't help with you OPK confusion. Just wanted to send some :bluedust: your way.
Mel - Its great that the lap won't interfere with next cycle. I hope they don't find anything wrong, but I want you to have some answers as well. You're in my thoughts hun. And it sounds like you have fantastic support around you.
meh - Great you have a supportive DH. I know I couldn't go through this if DH wasn't 100% invested as well.
babymiracles - Glad to hear the transfer was successful. I'm praying that it results in a BFP
jen - Glad you got that technical mess untangled yesterday. BB just keeping you entertained, hey?
AFM - Was feeling better towards the end of last week, but yesterday started going downhill again. I always thought my 'black' days were to do with my dad's death. Thats why I never sought help, I thought I already knew the cause. But I've realised that it goes back before then. My first encounter with insomnia was the summer I was 11. And I must have been really miserable to be around, because all I really remember from that time was my mum telling me to "Snap out of it. Next year you'll be going into high school, what will you be like then?" No wonder I've always tried to hide it.
Thankyou to everyone for your support. I'll be seeing my doctor on wednesday, so hopefully I can get the help I need. I have a meeting with a colleague from NZ today. I just have to get through that, then I can focus on me.
-
Hi everyone just a quick note to vent a little; to add to my probs atm spent friday getting ct scans as my left thigh has gone completely numb and doctors don't know why they think maybe that I've pinched a nerve so in a lot of pain right now, so aswell as that just hanging out too see our new gyno it just seems like problem after problem for us i don't know that we'll ever get some good news..sorry for posting such a negative one today and for feeling so sorry for myself, hope that everyone is doing well.
-
jackjack - I'm sorry you're not well at the moment. Don't apologise for venting here, it's what we are here for. I hope you get the nerve sorted out soon. Take care sweet.
-
Sorry I had to add to a post I did last week - It was titled "How fast was that??" and it wasn't until after I had posted that I realised that it could be taken as being a bit insensitive if people thought I was referring to the nature of my TTC time since the m/c - I was referring to the morphing of December into January and how it had flown but I would hate for people to think that I could be disrespectful of how the TTC journey unfolds differently for each person.
Chappas - I haven't had a chance yet - so :clap: for your news and may that little tacker cosy up tight and not let go for you!
erybery - I understand the frustration with the OPKs at times - when we have used them over the years - sometimes I fell pregnant on ones where the test line wasn't obviously darker or as dark as the control (and the pregnancy did stick) and other times I would get a situation where I would get very dark lines for several days (much darker than the control) and you go WTH - 'what is this - a mutant ovulation?' and temp and mucus play snap for a few days too - and you just think OK - let's just BD marathon this tacker (get a bit tired by about day 3 though ;) but I used to say to DP I'd slap him if he complained about too much action...)
Mel - may this operation bring you some peace of mind  for you on this one
AFM - finally found a GP who hasn't shut their books and is not taking on new patients as my previous GP has shut up practice - sadly she was the only doc I've ever found who was supportive of homebirthing so now I just have to take what I can get and hope that the pg is relatively uncomplicated so I can go down that path again. Luckily I do have a brilliant homebirthing midwife so let's face it - that is the ultimate stroke of luck for which I am eternally grateful. So in a couple of weeks - should be able to 'confirm' pg and organise a u/s early on to see how things are progressing.
Much love to everyone here!
Karen van

Hannah - good luck with your doc's appointment tomorrow. :goodluck:
Jackjack - hope you're feeling a bit better today and they were able to find some answers from your ct scan.
Zachary's Mom - I love your happy upbeat posts! Good luck with your appointments, hope you're feeling better soon.
smilanatu - Good luck with your protein levels. A 24 hour catch sounds fun, not! :)
chappas - hope you're feeling well. :)
Jen - :crossfingers: catching the eggie this time.
Karen van - you've inspired me to look a deeper than the surface. Thank you! About 5 years ago I followed a fairly strict wheat-free and dairy-free diet for about 2 years (I got REALLY stressed and rundown and my body didn't cope at all, so it was about taking charge and looking after myself) . It was the best I'd ever felt (and looked!). I gradually stopped before we fell pregnant the first time (ah...the blissful ignorance....) thinking it'd be too hard. Anyway (sorry - long story!) I've decided it's time to centre a bit better and being W & D free is the best way I know how. :)
This is my last official day at home. I work 3 days but our small boy's carer has been OS so I've had enforced leave from work (thankfully). He'll be playing with his cousin on Thursday and then back to FDC on Friday. I feel like I'm getting more ready to face the world again (it feels like 'finally' but it's all happened so recently??) Newbie's cross-stitch is coming along. :)
Take care everyone.

Meh - I only had 1 opk as it came with a stack of pregnancy tests I ordered over the internet.
I think I must have ovulated last night as was in terrible pain, especially on my right side but some on my left (hope that doesnt mean I dropeed an egg from both sides! oops) the pain has subsided today but am still bloated. Im not sure if this is because I am taking clomid or the PCOS or something else. Anyways I am having a progesterone blood test on saturday to see if I did in fact ovulate. I will get the results on tues when I ring my gyn.
Karen Van - just so happy for you!
JackJack - hope your ct scan goes ok
Shortcake - looking forward to hearing some good news from you, when are you testing next?
Mannie - let me know how the weight watchers go. I really would like to lose a few kilos too as Ive put on about 15kilos since school and when I was younger i had regular cyclkes so am wondering if PCOS is because Im bigger now.
Babymiracles - for a BFP for you!
Polly - since we are cycle buddies when are you going to test? are you going to wait till after Af is due?
One more week till Im back at work! Im a kindergarten teacher so will be full on once Im back there.Next week is just boring professional development days. Funny thing is the day the kindy kids start is the day I think Af will be due! Hopefully that morning Ill be smiling ear to ear!!!
