Hey ladies how was everyone's weekend?????
I woke up this morning to a nice thick white blanket of snow, bit extreme from the weather most of you ladies have been experiencing!!
Also had a phone call from the doc this morning who has had my blood results back from last week and i'm anaemic :wall: so he has stuck me on iron tablets to hopefully sort that out.
Well i'm off to play in the snow :D
Happy Monday Girlies xxx
Kristy & clockley--:welcome: My sincere apologies over the losses of your little angels! While a loss is difficult at any stage of pg'cy, a loss during Christmas had to have been extremely difficult! :comfort: I pray that your TTC journey is short, and you're both blessed very quickly with your earth-bound angels!
HannahD--Aww, hon.... I saw your ticker yesterday said CD1, and I was soooooo hoping that it was a mistake! Sometimes when you go past the last day of your cycle, the ticker restarts at CD1, so I was really hoping that was the case! Like you said, at least AF had the decency to show on time and not leave you hanging and wondering... not much of a consolation, I'm sure, but we have to find the silver lining somewhere, right?
meh--Oh, hon, I'm so sorry--UTI's are the worst!! Hope you feel better soon and it doesn't slow things down on the TTC front! Big *hugs*
HannahS--Welcome back, stranger! *hugs* Wishing you lot's of luck with the temping! Warning--it can be very addicting!
issy--You could never sound insensitive! It's completely understandable that it would be difficult for you (esp. in the 1st trimester) to read stories of loss, when you're doing everything you can to stay focused on staying positive!! Congrats for making it past the huge 12 week milestone! :hooray: Hope your m/w appt. went well! Wishing you an uneventful 2nd and 3rd trimester!! *hugs*
Babymiracles--Would love to be 'fishy' belly buddies! I'm keeping my :crossfingers: Woo hoo--great numbers on your BT!!
erybery--Check out that shiny new ticker you're sporting there! Congrats! I'm supposed to test on Friday... we'll see how it's going symptom-wise!
MaternalBride--Hi! Glad to see you're still hanging around!
princess--Sorry about your BFN! Hopefully it was just a little too early to test. Sending lots of anti-AF vibes just in case!!
chappas & fifi--Enjoy the snow! I'll stick with my 75F temperatures, thank you very much!
Thanks for the hugs Jen. I definitely need them as AF showed up this morning. I literally had an HPT in hand. Oh well. DH and I started a fire AND broke our bed last month while DTD. How does that not make a baby? Time to start temping! Hope it goes well and doesn't cause any more stress! I'm going to try not to be moping around today. I'm definitely not as down as I was last month. DH and I always try to get out and do something fun if AF shows up so we can stay positive and not be bummed out.
Princess&MaternalBride&Jen- I'm crossing my fingers you get your BFPs this month!
Issy- So glad you made it to the 12 week mark!!! I hope the next 28 weeks will fly by!
Babymiracles- Those are great numbers! Glad you will be able to relax a bit now.
Meh- Sorry about the UTI :wall: I got an infection last month also, but it was just as I entered the 2WW (which ended up being a 3WW). Hope next month goes differently for you!
Erybery- So so happy for you! I hope you are able to stay as stress-free as possible until your appt. everything goes well!
Fifi- Sorry about the doc's results. Hoping everything is sorted out with the iron.
Take care ladies
Hello beautiful ladies! Sorry no time for persies today. I just wanted to drop in and let you know I went to the doctors on Friday and they started me on medroxyprogesterone for 3 days to hopefully bring on AF. Praying it comes soon so we can start TTC again.
:bluedust::stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesgirl::pink-babydust:
HannahS--So, so sorry to hear about AF  And with a HPT in hand, no less! Now I just have to know... how the heck do you start a fire and break your bed while DTD??? Good luck with the temping!
Shortcake--Saying lots of  that the meds help bring on AF so you can get back on the TTC bandwagon!
hahaha. Well, the first one involved a mishap with candles and a pillow. Smoke alarm went off at a REALLY bad time... that's all I can say. And the second one, well, we're just THAT good!
Shortcake- I'm :crossfingers: that AF starts up again soon... and then stays away for nine months after it leaves! Good luck getting your BFP.
:grouphug: Have a wonderful day ladies!
Hi everyone,
Well, I'm back from Melbourne (and I didn't melt) so just a quick one to try and catch up.
HannahD - I am so sorry AF showed. I  you get your BFP soon. I know what you mean about wondering whether you were ever pregnant. Sometimes I think I may have imagined those 2 pink lines. But we were pregnant and we will be again soon with our forever babies, 2009 is our year!
Ruthie - We don't say this very often on this thread but congrats on getting AF! One step closer to getting your BFP!
WTH - :stickyvibesboy: :stickyvibesgirl:
Theresa - Congrats on your engagement party - glad you had a good time!
Shortcake - Sending some AF vibes your way.
Issy - Yay on reaching 12 weeks - :happyforyou:
Babymiracles - Wow, what great test results - woo hoo!
Sorry, haven't been on much lately but so busy at work. Changing roles (to a more challenging one) and have heaps to finish in my old role to handover to the person replacing me. I like being busy though as it keeps my mind off other things - almost! Only a week until my op - the countdown begins.......
:stickyvibesgirl: for all our pregnant friends and :bluedust: for all of us TTC.
Hi to Jen, Hannahs, smi, fifi, erybery, princess, rachel, maternal bride, possums, plc, AJC, meh, chappas, mannie. Welcome to our new girls, kristy, clockley and samandpoppy - I hope your journey is short. :)
Just a quick one!
Shortcake - hopefully this treatment will balance what is throwing things out of whack for you!
Issy - Congrats on that important milestone - I'm only halfway there yet and not trying to wish the time on:rolleyes:
Absolutely love the misadventures of the boudior while DTD :D
I will get better at the persies I promise!!
AFM - I would never begrudge it for a minute but the 'twilight' sickness (from arvo till bedtime) tends to shorten my opportunities for a bit of catchup on forums/blogs - oh well, suck it up and think of dry biscuits ;)
Good health and good outcomes to all our wonderful women and to those who have just joined us - we are sorry you are here but look forward to hearing from you
Karen van
HannahS--That is some serious TTC that must be going on in order to break your bed!
Mel--Welcome home! Best of luck on your op next week!
Karen van--Hope the m/s gets better soon! :stickyvibesgirl:
Me--Well, my temp dipped this morning.... and I've been pretty p!ssy the last couple days.... I'm sure it's that nasty biatch AF and her :pms: companion, so looks like I won't be testing on Friday. I've gotten pretty good at reading my body, and I'm just not feeling like this is the month for me. Will be going in probably on Thurs. to get my thyroid BT done to see how that's going. I still think it's probably too high, and after researching, I think even if it's 'normal' it's probably still to high to be TTC! Guess we'll see once the tests come back. Feeling very blah and annoyed at the moment, and super sick of fundraising! Found out yesterday that my ONLY good friend that's been promising me a limo ride to auction off at the silent auction has been lying to me the whole time about it! For a month she's been telling me that we'll have the limo for sure... then yesterday (2 days before the dinner/auction) the limo driver supposedly had a family emergency.... well, in my attempts to find another limo service to make a donation, I unknowingly called her friend that was supposedly out of town due to this family emergency... and she had never even freakin' brought it up to them or asked them for a d@mn thing!!! I'm so  If you can't trust your own "friends" who can you trust? :wtf: I just don't deal well with people lying to me--tell me you flaked, or you have too much on your plate to deal with... but don't promise me something and then lie to me just because you don't want to deal with the consequences! I haven't even told her yet that I know... and I'm such an un-confrontational person, but I know I have to say something, I just don't know what or how yet :( Sorry for the vent girls... feeling now more than ever that you girls are the only ones that can comprehend my frustrations, and the only ones that even care! Thanks! :grouphug:
meh - Sorry about the UTI. I hope you feel better soon.
Hannah - Sorry AF showed. Good on you for staying positive though. You're TTC efforts did make me laugh though.
issy - Congratulations on reaching 12 weeks! Its completely understandable that you would find it hard to remain positive while reading stories of loss. You need to do what's right for you. Wishing the next 28 weeks to be uneventful. :bellyrubs:
clockley - I'm sorry for your loss, and on christmas eve no less. I wish you a short TTC journey. :goodluck:
babymiracles - I never knew 38 degrees could feel so cool. Those HCG levels look great. I'm sure next weeks will be even better. Goodluck with the scan in a couple of weeks. :stickyvibesgirl:
erybery - Sending loads of :stickyvibesboy: to help get you through to the scan in a couple of weeks.
maternalbride - Glad you're feeling positive right now. Keep us up to date.
princess - It's not over until AF actually shows. Sending lots of anti-AF vibes your way.
chappas & fifi - Hope you ladies are enjoying the snow. Fifi, I hope the iron tablets sort you out soon.
jen - Still keeping up the :noaf: vigil for you. It isn't over 'til she shows. I don't know what to say about your friend, other than to offer a  and say I totally understand your feelings. I can't stand people lying to me either. I too am not good with confrontation, I never think of anything good to say until after the confrontation. You do need to tell her that you know, just be calm and honest about how you found out. And make sure that she knows that its the lie you're upset about.
shortcake - I hope the med bring on AF soon. At least something is being done now, rather than just waiting.
Mel - I wish you all the best for your new work role. Challenging is good - keeps the mind busy. Will be thinking of you next week.
Karen van - I hope you feel better soon.
AFM - I had my first appointment with my psychologist on Monday (I'd almost cancelled when AF showed and brought cramps with her). Have been feeling pretty raw since then as I had to go over dad's death as well as the miscarriage. But it'll get worse before it gets better, right? I also spoke to one of my bosses, just to let him know what is going on. And I told my mum last night. She's knows something hasn't been right, but has felt a bit lost because she can't 'fix' it so I think she's glad I'm getting help.
I'm starting to wonder if the m/c was the universe telling me that I have things I need to sort out. This isn't a self-blame thing, its just me trying to give it meaning I suppose. It put me in a position where I need to ask for help (something I almost never do) and has also given me a reason to get that help. Maybe now that I'm on this path, I'm sending a signal that I'm ready for my forever baby. Just a thought.
Oh, Hannah... You remind me so much of Toccara, and I always feel this 'sisterly' urge to protect you and comfort you! This is a HUGE step you've made towards healing your heart! It's not easy asking for help, and I just want you to know that I'm so proud of you for doing this for yourself!
HannahD - I don't really know what else to say but  For what it is worth I think you are doing all the right things to help yourself move forward. You will have your forever baby soon, just keep telling yourself that!
Jen - stooopid, stooopid AF!! I am so hoping you are wrong, cycle buddy (and fellow fish LOL) you have to join me as a preggo buddy! I hope your thyroid test comes back OK. And as for your "friend" What is it with people?? I hear you on the non confrontational thing too, I am the same - I don't know what I would say in your situation, but I agree that you should say something to her.
Mel - The new job sounds exciting :) So happy that you have something to keep you busy and all the best for the new role! Hope your op goes well next week....
HannahS - LOL at your bedroom antics!!! I can't even begin to imagine ;) I'm so sorry that AF showed though, hopefully it will be for the last time!
Shortcake - So glad to hear you went to the dr, hope AF shows for you soon.
fifi - Sorry to hear about the anaemia, but at least it is being sorted sooner rather than later. I had iron deficiency with my DD but didn't find out until after she was born - yuck!
Princess - Sorry to hear about the BFN :(
erybery - Congratulations on the BFP!! Hope everything goes well and good luck for your scan - I know how you feel, I both look forward to and dread going to see my ob ATM.
meh - Bugger about the UTI - yuck! I hope it goes for you soon and doesn't stop the BD marathon too badly.
babymiracles - My other fishy friend, great HCG results!! You should be very happy with them :D I hope they reassure you for a bit, I was (still am) the same though - relaxed for a few days and then back to worrying again. I'm sure though with those numbers that all will be good at your scan - all the best!
clockley, Kristy and Samandpoppy - I'm so sorry for all your losses and that you have to be here, but this is a wonderful thread to be a part of - you will find heaps of support here. I hope your stays are all very very short
Ruthie - Yay for AF!!!!!! Get back into it girl! I hope you get your BFP really really soon.
Issy - Yay for getting to 12 weeks!!
A big hi and hugs for everyone else that I have missed!
AFM - Have had a really busy week now that DD is back at preschool 3 days a week, so have not had a chance to post before now. I miss her when she is not here, but at least she loves going so that is all good. Otherwise just plodding along until my next ob appt in 2 and a half weeks time (but who's counting!). Have had no dramas (touch wood) and MS is still coming and going, but feeling OKish today after a few sick days late last week and over the weekend. It is so reassuring feeling sick! Oh well, hungry tummy is calling, better go and have some lunch while I can LOL
Hello everyone! Happy Wednesday. :)
The small boy is asleep so I have a few minutes to myself to jump on and send some messages....
HannahD ~ I so understand about trying to find meaning in your m/c. For us it's been helpful to think that newbie wasn't able to be here for a long time because someone else is coming who needs us more. (I have a few important people in my life who are quite spiritual and believe this isn't the only time we are here - I'm not so sure yet!!) But I think it is a very natural instinct to try to find meaning in our experiences, good, bad or otherwise. Congrats for seeing your counsellor ~ that's such a brave step to take.
Jen ~ 'friends' are such strange creatures sometimes!!!! Probably it didn't help that you found out when you are feeling so yuck about AF and PMS. Why do things always come in 3's? Calm communication about your feelings and the impact of another's behaviour is so good in theory and can be so tricky in practice! Good luck.
Mel ~ glad you didn't melt here. I think we're wusses here in Melbourne because we're just not accustomed to the real heat! :D Good luck with your handover at work.
HannahS ~ we've just treated ourselves to a new bed after the other one gradually got softer and saggier so I can appreciate needing an update but I'm really impressed you actually broke your's!! :)
Shortcake ~ hope the medication has the desired effect, IYKWIM :)
Karenvan ~ glad m/s is contained to the afternoon/evening, but I can imagine it's difficult running after a tired 3 y-o then as well. Thinking of you.
fifi ~ hope the iron tablets do their trick.
chappas ~ can't imagine enough snow to close school early!! Hope you're well.
megsmum ~ the BD marathon really didn't get off the ground this month...hopefully next time. :wall:
Hello to all the other girlies I haven't mentioned personally. :grouphug:It's strange how often I think of you all each day. It's so comforting to know that we're not the only one's going through this.....how I wish none of us were here at all. Surely 2009 has to be the year, doesn't it??
Take care everyone.
Hi ladies, sorry I've been non existant here lately I've just been flat out. Jen, Hannah, Chappas, Megsmum and shortcake thankyou so much about your concern with the bleeding. I actually did have to go back in after my D&C because some placenta was left behind causing me to get quite large blood clots. But now that's gone I would've thought that should've stopped by now I had the procedure for that done 4 weeks ago on friday and I am suffering from a lot of cramping. It's really weird too the bleeding gets really light and will actually stop for a day but then the next morning when i wake up it's back. I'm going to go back to that doctor I saw this afternoon even though I don't like him I just need to ask some questions and I really cant wait until my doctor gets back next week.
I went to a party with my husbands work mates on the weekend and because I was sick (and because we are TTC) I didn't drink so they assumed I'm pregnant and asked which was really awkward and sad for me, I had to leave the table. Then on Sunday we had a big clean up and went through all our stuff including my boxes of baby clothes in our spare room left from DS; very hard. So not really a great weekend for me
Sorry for the lack of persies but gotta rush to the doctors
:bluedust::pink-babydust:
:stickyvibesboy::stickyvibesgirl:
jen - Thankyou so much. I can't express in words how much your support and encouragement has meant to me over the last few months.
megsmum - I know you miss DD while she's at preschool. But enjoy the solitude for now. I'm sure you'll be busy enough in about 26 weeks time. Glad the m/s is starting to ease. Good luck with your scan in two weeks.
meh - I don't know if I believe it, but I like the idea that we get to come back. 80 years just doesn't seem long enough to 'get it right' and to learn all we can. And lots of people don't even get that long. I hope the antibiotics do the trick and you feel better soon.
jackjack - to you. I'm sorry you had a rough weekend. I still feel caught off guard when people ask about babies. I never seem to remember any of the things I rehearse in my head. I don't really know what else to say except that we're here for you. Let us know how it went with the doc.
