Trying to Conceive After Miscarriage/Loss July 2009

Well yesterday was pretty crappy, I swear ever movie/tv show has a pregnant chick lol Plus we were meant to hear about my DH new job but just found out the guy whos going to say yes/no is in NZ until friday :wall:

To make matters worse we're found a really nice house in the perfect area if he does get the job! (need to move to central coast, nsw) Its not going to be there forever.

Starting to really freak out about TTC and DTD when the times right....Just with the possible interstate move it isnt a good idea? Maybe I'm using that as a excuse :wall: really don't know anymore. Feeling as though I'm really not going to be able to handle a 4th M/C. I know I know, think positive but its always in the back of my mind :doh:

I swear I'll be changing my mind right up to the last min :redface:

Been thinking a lot about maybe losing weight before TTC again, but its going to take 12months and I could have had a baby in that time..........just sooo confused!

TinaR - I'm glade to hear seeing your friend wasn't too painful, the first time is always the hardest after a loss, I hope it gets better from here on in.

Hi All, I think I better start posting about ttc or I am going to BUST!! It's such an all consuming time that I need to just off load!! LOL

Not sure where to start, I suppost, just an intro... This is our 1st month ttc post Banjo's birth. I am activly trying to sway the odds for another boy by changing my diet and pH. I am currently early in my TWW... I will be testing about this time next week if I can hold off that long (even then it will be early)!

My hubbys cousin, who i swear from recent events and comments has lost the plot, sent me a pm on face book, it didnt have a subject title so i opened it up and there is one sentence, "hows the pregnancy going?" im like :wtf: she knows i had a mc as we spoke about it, so unless she knows something that i dont, im a little miffed that she asked me that!
8 days till testing, and im feeling quite scared about it, i have had a few bits of red in my cm yesterday and again today, i doubt its implanation i have never had implantation bleeding before, i just hate my body for doing this, it is now the second time this cycle it has happened, and im only cd23.

Don't ever feel bad about something so positive, everyone deserves their happiness and I'm sure others on this thread will get theirs in time. I believe that sometimes the journey makes the experience even more special.

Well I am on day 17 and have been using an OPK for the past 6 days as my cylce can last anywhere between 28 and 35 days since the D&C and still no surge. As weird as it sounds I'm hoping that perhaps I have just been TTC at the wrong time for the past 5 months.

Anila OMG "hows the pregnancy going" :rolleyes: Didi I tell you 2 people asked me that in the space of a couple of hours and I didn't even tell anyone I was pregnant!

toomanyshoes if you are keen to loose a few kg come & join me in the weight loss thread... I also thought that I'll jus put it all back on again when I have a baby BUT I would rather loose 10-15kg's now and finish up at this weight after I have the baby than start at my current weight and have over 20kg to loose after a baby iykwim.... I am still ttc but decided to loose as much weight as I can before I get my BFP... who knows it might take another 10 months to have a successful pregnancy and I would have lot all the weight by then and be really happy :D Plus loosing weight has been fantastic to keep me going INSANE about my losses and not being pregnant and it gives me something else to obsess over and chart along with my ff chart hehehhe :rofl: http://forums.bellybelly.com.au/foru...rt-4-a-10.html

josh'smum I'm sure we were trying at the wrong times of the month when we started ttc. For the 1st 3 cycles I just thought everyone ovulated around CD14 on a 28 day cycle "LORD, I had NO idea" :rofl: when I started charting we got a BFP on the 1st cycle. I have found that my CM is the best clue and than I start the OPK's when I have WCM. I also love temping :) HTH

hmm, im so cranky with my body, my spotting is heavier than the smear that was there this am, i have af type cramps, im only cd23, i have never had af this early, i hate my body, i dont know what is going on.

Sunbeam-To answer your question if we are going to try natrually while we wait i rang the RNS genetic councellor today asked what is happening with our test's he said the molecular test is due back any day and if it come's back that they couldn't find the probe they will then do D.N.A sequencing which will take up to 4 month's we have decided if the 1st test give's us our probe then we can pass it on to the ivf clinic and get started but if we have to wait the extra 4 months then we will go back to trying natrually i am waiting for a phone call back they are chasing it up with the lab in S.A so i just have to wait again.

Toomanyshoes-i know what you mean when we lost abbi every tv show had an abbi and everything i read in book's mag's ect had an abbi the name was everywhere also i live on the central coast you will be my neighbour.

Tanya-sorry to hear of your loss it is a terrible thing to go through i know how you feel but welcome to our little world i hope you get the support you need.

I have been hitting the gym hard, like cherished, and yesterday I did a weights class, you know, using the bar with the weights on it, and there were MANY squats and lunges and crunches involved. I feel as stiff as michelin man today...I know for sure I worked my inner thighs, and butt and abs, so I accidentally have found the class I have been looking for all this time, by a lady saying "oh you should come up its great!" :D Hooray!!!

Not sure how much time ill have to take off excersise so been trying to up the ante to compensate!

I had a call from the hospital this morning and they're going to call me this afternoon and give me a time for the operation and fasting instruction....so im eating us out of house and home today bahahaha! :D

AFM: Still oh so tired! I'm keeping an eye on my CM and when it goes ewcm then I'm heading for that baby train lol. I (like all of us) hope that this is my month...One because i want a bub but also because i then get to cut back on my job :) I've just expanded into lingerie parties (my range at home is expanding rapidly lol) so am busy at nights setting that up. One of these days I am going to need to STOP expanding etc and just see how it goes.
I've got a busy but cruisy week this week at work which is fantastic, means I don't mind working online during this week.

Anila-poor sweety I'm sorry to hear your body is playing up again, I hope it settles down for you soon.

Josh'smum-OPKs are the only thing that has helped me catch my eggs. My cycle is 31-46days and I sometimes don't ovulate at all so until the OPKs I often missed my egg. Temping is very helpful too as it helped me realise I had anovulatory cycles.

Ferrals-I really hope you get your probe and can start the IVF soon. I think it is a good idea to start trying naturally if it is going to be a 4 month wait.:goodluck:

Coco- you go girl! I've tried a few times to get on the weight loss train but it only goes a few stops before i get to the end of the line!!:rofl:

TinaR- thanks for your enthusiasm but it's tomorrow morning I'm testing. Its an eary test and I will still only dpo9.

AFM I am happily having a break from TTC. Im not Not trying but not temping or anything. Not worrying about anything for the next few months. Well trying not to anyway.
I had a lady i know rush up to me this morning and congratulate me on being pregnant. She apologised cos she didnt know i was pregnant until this week and was so excited that i was having a baby next month. What the??? I have a little pot belly but i dont look 8 months!! You should of seen the look on her face when i said i wasnt pregnant and if i hadnt of m/c i would of been due next month. Gossip in small towns is just crazy. It was nice to be able to have that happen and not feel upset about it.

So I have been using the OPK this month and have been convinced this is the month- according to the OPK still not ovulating and today is day 18. However had my U/S this morning because my Dr wanted to confirm everything was perfect, I think more because I burst into tears in front of her last time.

With Josh, DH and I got pregnant by accident on our first wedding anniversary. When he was 20 months we started TTC our second, that only took 2 months of trying, before the BFP, only to MC that baby in Dec at 13 weeks (U/S at 8 weeks was perfectly normal), next thing I know I am bleeding at 13 weeks and bub has no HB. D&C few days after, and an irregular cycle ever since (30-35 days). Told to wait 2 cycles before TTC again, so have been trying 5 months this month. I just thought it would happen really easy for us because the other 2 times it was.

Anyway U/S today. I have a corpus luteum cyst, indicating that I have already ovulated this month or maybe haven't ovulated at all seeing I had no LH surge- ARGGH!

I am a little poly-cystic, and just meet the criteria for PCOS, although not really overweight (maybe I could lose a couple of kg's but who couldn't). Back to my Dr's on Sat to get tx plan, I'm guessing clomid! Anyone else had a similar experience or taking clomid?

Initially I was quite upset that perhaps DH and I missed the boat this month. Now taking a little comfort in the fact their is an issue that we can now address, hopefully easier.

I must have got so much more work done before I Joined BB because I seem to spend half my day reading posts, but I love it, way more interesting than writing case notes and calling clients.

Josh'smum- I had 6 months of clomid because I have anovulatory cycles. No explanation has been found for these cycles and they are very frustrating as my cycle blows out to 46 days so i is ages between TTC times. I was on 1-1 1/2 tablets at different times. The first month I took them I conceived (but then m/c at 7 weeks). Having looked at my bt results the FS has since said that the clomid dose was not strong enough for me to have been having any affect (as witnessed by the fact that a few months on it I still did not o). He now wants me to take 2 tablets per day. I have been reluctant as I have been o'ing on my own and wanting to try some other natural supplements, also I have had very sore ovaries every month since the clomid that i never had before. However, if I do not get a BFP this month I have decided to try the clomid again as I am now o'ing on cd25 or 26 which the clomid may be able to move earlier and thus hopefully I'll o fresher eggs. I have a friend in the UK who conceived her twins on clomid and someone on PAML is pregnant after clomid but I can't remember who just at the moment. Hope that helps.

Madison- your right about small towns. A girlfriend of mine got pregnant in my home town, had her ante natal bloods done then miscarried at about 6 1/2 weeks. Her and DH only told her mother what had happened. Next thing she is at the supermarket and had random people congratulating her. The women at the hospital who took her bloods told her husband, he told a few people at the football club next thing you know the whole town knows. Very awkward situation for all.

Sunbeam, thanks for the info re: clomid. I might be jumping the gun a little and since my last post I have done some research. The strangest thing is that I tested OPK today and have my first LH surge for the month. Very weird. I guess I will have to wait and see what the Dr says Saturday.

Madison: Yup Im dead on ovulation time :D haha :) cos my cycle was 4 days shorter last time than normal...so I didnt think id be near the fertile time when having the op...ohwell!!! better have some nxt time!!!

josh'smum I can see how the small town Chinese whispers effect can happen... We live in a small area and when I had the scan done to see if I had mc my dh told them not to say anything to 'anyone' as we know they are required to keep the consult confidential... It is exciting to get a +OPK this month I did a few just to see what they were doing but no surprise they were all over the place (like the rest of my chart)

Maddison-you should have seen the look on the girl's face at my work last night she is a regular at my club and is due the same week as abbi was and i sat there and watched her drink all night and make regular trip's to the smoker's deck when she came up to the cashier's window and i had to serve her the guy next to me made a comment about her due date and i jumped in and said it's due the same day as my daughter would have been if it survive's all the smoking and alcohol abuse her jaw just dropped and she couldn't come back with a reply.

AFM-still waiting on that phone call from genetic councellor and our 1st ivf appt is in 6 days so hope i get the phone call before then so we know what we are going to do.

OK, the OB called me back at like 6:30 tonight (bless him) Flowerchild if you are reading James Orford is such a lovely man! He said that I will most likely need a D&C as left over tissue is really the only reason for bleeding so long... The earliest I can get to see him was Tuesday but I can't make it until Wed so I will see him then and most likely have a D&C next Friday..... I'll keep you posted...

afm - i have been trying to keep things real and business as usual. of course i am over the moon but trying not to get out of control! weird feeling. dh has put his foot down and we are not to tell anyone this time - only my mum. last time we told everyone and i don't think he coped very well when we m/c having to send the word out. i don't feel pg. i will only be 4 weeks on saturday so it is sooooo early. i have done 2 tests and both bfp so that is good. seeing my gp on monday for bt. it is all sooo different to the 1st time. i feel very confident this one will stick. i never knew that we could m/c numerous times until i joined this forum. it has really opened my eyes. my gf has her egg transfer at 7am this morning so i have everything crossed for her too. 3rd time lucky for her i say!

well i am now cd25 and am still spotting have been since cd22, on cd23 i thought af was comming but it didnt, and spotting went light again.
I highly doubt it has to do with the mc, as i have since ttc the last 7 and a bit months, had some kind of spotting in each cycle.
This however is the second time this cycle.
I looked at my diary to see what the excat cds were that i have spotted on to compare with my angel baby, and i spotted on cd 13/14 with angel baby, got faint bfp on cd31, this cycle i have spotted cd14 to cd16 and again cd22 to now.
I have had low line cramps like af ones but not as severe, and weird stabbing all over my tummy, i have sore boobs and a metalic taste in my mouth. But i had a metalic taste before af last cycle, so i dont hold too much on that being a sign.
I tested on cd 22, of course bfn, its way too early.
I am too scared to see a bfp this cycle, with all this spotting, im afraid it will end in a mc again.
I doubt it is implantation, although in 7 pregnanys i have never had it before, in 4 of thoose 7 i had early trimester bleeding, 2 of thoose ended in a mc, so i wouldnt even know what implantation should look like.
I thought maybe pre o spotting, but i thought i had already o, and if it is then i havent dtd enough this cycle.

im almost in tears, im so stressed, anyway thanks for listening its good to get it of my chest, hubby doesnt quite understand.

Hi ladies

Well Im home, in bed and feeling like crap but that's to be expected. They didnt give me any news or details so don't know whats going on.

The gyne asked whether im close to ovulation time and I said pretty close, and she asked whether we "did anything" about it and I said, no I didnt think it was going to matter because I thought I was having a d&c, and she said "we'll only take a small strip of uterine tissue for testing so you can still try this month, if you want to BD tonight you can but you just might be a little sore."

I came home and Ive had a snooze and some couple of sips of water and I had to pee so i thought "might do a POAS OPK" because I think I am about cd 11 or 10 and there was a positive there :) I tested yesterday and it was negative and todays is only a smidgen lighter than the control line and Im expecting the pos tmo so we're able to try!!! We wont :bd: until tomorrow night though, DH is away tonight and I wouldnt want to anyway because I do have a little bit of bleeding :)

Im SO happy we can try!!! I asked DH does he want to try and he said enthusiastically "yeah!" so we're going to! :leap:
