Nattyt-I'm so sorry for your loss it brought back awful memorie's we lost our daughter at 19 week's 5 day's and not a day goe's by that i don't think of her it doe's get easier as time goe's by but the pain is alway's there and i just know that i will be with her again one day
The girl's on BB have really helped me deal with my pain they are there to listen and understand again i'm so sorry.
Morning everyone...I havent posted in about a week and now I have to post so I am kept in the loop! Nothing much to report with me...just waiting as usual...this time to ovulate - at least this is the fun bit, DP has been away in Bali for the past 3 weeks and gets home on Tuesday, CD10, perfect timing, nothing like a few weeks away to put the spark back into the baby dance - cant wait! Hoping I have a 28 or 29 day cycle rather than the 34 or 35 I had the month I fell and the month just gone! Long cycles suck - sorry for anyone who normally has these cycle lengths - they take forever! Temping to see where I am at. Does anyone else have weird cycles that are a week longer some months??? I wanted to do the OPK but that is too many sticks which I am sure would get expensive after a while...how many sticks does everyone else use a cycle???
Nat - welcome to our humble thread, sorry you had to join us but glad you are here for our support! Welcome to the baby making wagon once again...it is a rocky journey as we all know but hopefully it wont take too long!

What is it with Oct babies???? Ours was an Oct baby, cherished's was an october baby and there's someone else in here with an oct baby i think..What did they have to form a clique in angel heaven or something?? :dunno: *sigh*
:grouphug: ALL THE WOMEN in here are AMAZING! There is not one thing more tragic I think than losing a family member, whether it is one that you're expecting (which is worse..) or alive. I think we should all give ourselves a big pat on the back.
AFM: AF exited the buiding last night. My first real AF since the laparoscopy & endometiosis removal. I am soo amazed at how painless it was, how light compared to the previous ones, and how I didnt bloat AT ALL! WOO HOO!!! :hooray:
Now a little over a week till I ovulate then we're back in business! :D
We are going to be away going to mackay from august 14th and I dont know whether Im going to take my laptop or not...we're driving inland and not alot of mcdonalds in land..they all seem to be along to coast so not sure if there'll be any wireless. Anyway...I was thinking maybe I would be better not having the internet to obsess during the TWW? :lol:

AFM I've got acupuncture tomorrow and I have completely stopped bleeding after the D&C YAY, I also feel like I'm going to be o'ing soon, after my 1st loss I ttc straight after the D&C but we are waiting for one AF this time and it seems like such a waste of an ovulation to be doing nothing!.... Apart from that I'm doing good xoxo

Thank you for letting me share our story and for also sharing your stories with me, (I am so so sorry to hear about everyone's losses, I don't think anyone can understand the hurt unless they've actually been there) and for letting me be part of this group. Coco and Cherished, what date in Oct were you due? (if you don't mind me asking of course - please tell me to pull my head in if it's too bold of a question) I had to grin in a bittersweet sort of way with what you said about October babies, personally I can't wait for October to come and go.

Thanks Elise. :) I've almost come to the conclusion that the pain is always gonna be there in one way or another, but as you said, to take each day as it comes. It'd be nice sometimes to have a crystal ball though to see how the days are gonna pan out, because one minute I can be fine and the next I'm a mess after seeing a baby/expectant mother/or a customer at works asks me how my pregnancy is going. That's always a fun way to pass the day. My sarcasm dial has gone through the roof though since we lost Brock, I do have to watch myself at times! ;)

Well, it's been a pretty quiet weekend, DH and I got out in the garden and did some weeding yesterday (strangely theraputic gardening, I never realised that before!) and today we just went out for lunch. We're in the middle of buying a house too but have hit a slight snag in that we thought we were eligible for the first home owners grant but turns out we're not (long story short, DH brought a house with his ex and was assured by her lawyer after the breakup that if he signed over the house then it wouldn't affect his future borrowings/first home owners grant in any way - f**ked over in a big way :angry:, sorry for the crudeness!) We're appealing the FHOG but don't hold much hope, but we are lucky in the fact that we know the person we're buying the house from and she's been great so we're in negotiations. I'm almost at my wits end though, I must sound like a big sooky la la which is frustrating 'coz I'm normally a pretty cruisey person, but it's just felt like everything that could've gone wrong this year has gone wrong. We seriously need a break.
Hehe I've done it again, thanks for letting me vent ladies! :grouphug: I tell ya, I haven't missed this :pms: thing though, I'd take AF any day without the hormonal crap!!

I already have broken our fragile hearts by testing. DH was so inquisitive.
Because the 1st time we tried for a baby, it exactly happened like it was a fairytale.
We started on 8th july and i had some symptoms really but on 30th july we tasted and it was -ve:wall:
But still feeling niggles so this time we will push it to 20th August. Having my toes and fingers crossed:pray:

Coco- don't get me started on oct babie's just after we lost abbi i found out my GRRRR!!! SIL is having a baby in oct 2 of my closest freind's are due in oct and 2 girl's i work with are due late oct early nov i'm going to vanish in oct i don't think i will cope.
Natty-it dosn't sound silly at all our babie's can keep each other company until we see them again it also help's me that i believe abbi is in my grandmother's arm's as she passed away 6mth's before abbi i tell my nan don't let my girl be a tomboy like you nan and please don't teach her to burp like an old man like you taught my boy's and then i laugh as my nan would just tell me well it's better out than in.

My mother has reared her ugly head again...
Its funny...my stars the other day said to batten down the hatches because a storm is brewing and will errupt in a few days time and to keep my distance...my stars today said that a family issue will resurface and begin problems and boil again...
My mother texted me "Im so sorry for letting you down"
and my response was "I know this isnt the resonse you're looking for, but I kinda expect it now"
She is just a horrible woman who needs to just back off. She didnt bother coming around when we lost the baby, and when I had the operation, she said she would come say bye to me at the hospital and she didnt turn up, then the day after she called and said Ill come over and help you out, do some washing for you and cleaning etc, and when I said that would be great, she said "oh you'll have to come and pick me up though" and I said "no...I cant drive????? I just had an operation and Im not meant to drive and not only that Im in pain! And if I could come pick you up, wouldnt I just be able to do everything myself anyway??"
The worst thing apart from kicking me out of home when I was 16 and apart from responding with "im too upset to talk" when I called to tell her about the baby; is that she just doesnt care???
I want to cut ALL ties with her but it isnt as easy as that when it's your mother... :(

Vianna I know what you mean about it seeming like a fairytale and than all going wrong... My ttc journey is turning into a nightmare as it will soon be one year since we started trying with no baby ready to be born or even pregnant...
Anyway I called the OB today to see if any of my results were back and the chromosomal translocation results will be there on Thursday, the tissue and other test results were there and seem to be fine (as in there was no red flag next to them to be 'actioned' although that came from the receptionist not the OB...
Acupuncture went well, my hormones were flat but I expected that.

Natty: Forgot to answer your question. I was due thurs October 15th. There is a girl on my facebook who we were friends with when we were in mackay she is due on wed oct 14th and I was soooo upset when I found out!
I am feeling ok about the due date at the moment...Ask me again when the end of september rolls about though and theres 2 weeks to go...:lol:
I was just jumping in my [3 yr old] car to go to lunch with my sister and it wouldnt start...why do they only put crappy batteries in cars these days???? *sigh* just waiting for nrma to rock up..hopefully soon...
Ahh the dreaded 'would of been due date'. I would of been due on August 19th and now that its August i feel moody and sad and angry and disappointed. And even more disappointed that im not pregnant again.

I have been lurking for about a bit over a week now. I thought it was time that i jumped in and said hello - can i join in ? I am sorry for everyone's losses too !
A little about me - I am married with 3 boys and was due to have my 4th baby (unplanned) on October 28th. I miscarried on the 2nd of April at 10 weeks 2 days.
I struggled for quite a while then realised that i wanted to start trying again. So we are now on our 2nd attempt. This will be our last bub. I would REALLY love a little girl so we have been doing all we can to sway for a girl but i dont like my chances as my DH is one of 6 boys and between DH's brothers we have 6 nephews and 2 nieces (plus our 3 boys)
Anyway if we end up with another boy then thats ok - trust me when i find out i will be devastated if they say its a boy but i know i will be fine in the end.
Today is my cut off day - i am due to O on Wednesday or Thursday.
So now i am sort of in the TWW - even though i havent O'd yet.
I am a SAHM and my DH is a Cabinet Maker.
I also post in the TTC 1 - 6 months 2009 thread aswell - lovely chatty bunch of ladies in there.
Yeah - so there you go ! I miss my Angel baby terribly - dont we all ?

Welcome Chickybabe sorry for your loss i also have three boy's and am trying for my 5th baby i lost my daughter in march and believe me when i say i was devastated and heart broken that it was my first girl and i thought i'd never move on unless i had a girl but after finding out we carry a genetic fault and have a 1 in 4 chance of every baby being affected i don't care if i get a boy or girl as long as i get a healthy one it is hard when you know it is going to be your last baby but i hope we both get our wish and our dream's to complete our familie's come true.
October babies - I was also thinking January babies. In our Belly group there has been spectacular angel flight. It worries me; by the time we can try again it will be an October due date - eeek!

The great news here is that my cycle is back to normal. I'm pretty sure, anyway. I had post d&c bleeding, (tmi) all tissuey and gross, but it stopped after two days and then 3 days later I got more AF-like bleeding. Was a bit concerned at first, but just went with it. It went for quite a while (9 days, I think)
I didn't pay a lot of attention, since we can't start trying again anyway. But then I had some interesting CM last week, so I thought I'd pop the info into FF. Saturday night I had ovary pain, so I had a wee look, and the dates totally corrsepond with my normal cycle.
A complete waste of all those lovely eggs (lol!) since we can't start trying again til January at best, but it is SO good to knwo that we're back on track. It is one less thing to worry about! Also, if it stays nice and regular, I will be fertile two days after we get the all clear! (assuming, I know, but it's been going well so far)
It's so nice to be excited about my girly bits for a change.:dance: I'll have to give them lots of positive reinforcement...

DH's cousin recently had a baby - he was unnamed for a week. They hadn't thought of any boys names because they "so badly wanted a girl" He was born 5 days after we lost our baby.
Even his great grandmother expressed her disappointment, saying she really would have liked a little great granddaughter (already has a great grandson)
I sat in a corner, thinking "I know how hard it is not to get the kind of baby you wanted - I really wanted one with a heartbeat, but it wasn't to be"
I have no issue with gender swaying - I think it's great fun. I have issue with loving a child less because it wasn't what you wanted. This was their first baby. Not the fourth after a line of boys. Their first. WTF?

Snugglybean - I can understand people being initially disappointed when they have another one of the same gender (Mum said she shed a tear when her fourth daughter was born) but only very briefly. That's quite a strange reaction.
Coco - your Mother sounds like a real attention seeker. I'm sad she's not there looking after you like she should be.
AFM - I'm at day 30 and AF hasn't arrived. My cycles are very irregular. I could have one anywhere from 27 days to 35 days. I tested yesterday and got a negative so I'm trying to hold off doing another test until Thursday which would be 14 days after when I think I ovulated. I've been getting a lot of period like cramps so I'm not so hopeful.
SnugglyBean - you have every right to feel that way.
I have wanted a girl since day dot - and for some strange reason always just assumed i would have one. With each boy i have wanted that girl a little more but dont get me wrong - i love my boys and wouldnt have them any other way but i cant help the longing feeling. Being that this will be our last bub (when and if it happens) we just decided to give it our all and try to help the little girl spermies along.
Probably wont work - trust me - i am not at all confident !

Chickybabe-i don't think you offended anyone deep down i want a girl to help with the pain i feel it would be the icing on the cake but after being told of the horrific abnormalitie's abbi had i just want a baby with 10 finger's and toe's and all put together like nature intended i was going to find out the sex of our embryo's once they are tested and choose what i wanted but have since decided the best looking embryo is the one we will go with good luck with trying for a pink one it will be fun trying and interesting to see if it work's

:grouphug: hi to our newbies, this is the place to be to heal, rant and then be rejoiced with when you finally get that BFP. It's so supportive and being there for each other I have found has helped me to stop focussing on myself and feeling completely alone and upset.

I'm not offended at all by you guys. I think you deserve some pink! But to not be prepared for a boy because you didn't want one, that's a bit wrong. And for their first baby. And the same week as we lost ours. I used to really like this particular cousin. But now I have joined the rest of the family's ranks, and am completely nonplussed about her existence.

Ok so I fell off the face of the forums again...
Well my TWW is up tomorrow (AF is due) but on saturday my SIL lost her 12 hour old baby boy, born on his due date...its soooo sad....really kinda hoping I get a BFN tomorrow.....I really wouldn't want to do this to her :crying:
Anyway good luck to all those trying and grats to anyone with a BFP (havent had time to read through) I think I'll be taking a little break.
I am watching Knocked Up...it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO not how things happen!!
I also have been sitting on the loungeroom floor folding 2 garbage bags of newborn clothes into a vaccum bag.... It was...bittersweet. No tears, but DH came and gave me a big hug and massive smoochy kiss...
then he said he likes the baby rocker I bought (for those who missed that, I bought a rocker for $15 from a garage sale, and a 3 wheel jogging pram at the same place for $10), I said I felt silly about buying it now and he said "why? we'll be pregnant soon!"
So sweet....I have had a yukky day after my mother was in contact earlier so him being that way towards me and indulging me in my baby fantasies really helped me feel a little better...
Now Im on the lounge with Coco (our ragdoll cat) on my arm/lap and just laughing at this movie :) It's so real but so fake haha I love it!

AFM-=- after i had my misscarriage last year i got an email a few days later from a gf in tazzy, telling me she was pregnant, and she was as far along as i was supposed to be too.. Well last week she had her healthy little boy, and sent me some pics of them all together.. I always thought when that happened i would be sad, but i wasnt, i thought he was adorable and that she looked like such a deserving mother.. It made me miss cub, and wish i could have him/her back, but it didnt give me any bad felings towards my gf, i was so hapy for her.. and her lil baby boy was just precious.
Im bout a day or two of the big O so ive been pestering Hubs like a frenzied whore lately HAHAHA!! So hopeing this is our month so we can finealyy start to feel better about everything, and hopefully i can try to relax a bit and not stress to much about negative things,,

toomnayshoes I am so sorry to her about your nephew. That is so very sad. Don't stress about getting a BFP - you don't have to tell her straight away. It will be bittersweet but a little bit beautiful.

So much for my resolve to wait until Thursday. I took a test this morning. Negative I thought, but then . . . there does seem to be the faintest of lines. If you have to hold it up to the light to see it does it count?
Sammy - sorry for my ignorance - how many dpo are you ?
When i got my feint BFP - it was very feint and it had to be held on the right angle - but it was there. Two days later it was far more obvious.

SammyP - When i got my first BFP i had to hold it in the light to see it. It was so faint my dh and i decided it wasnt a line but there was colour there. The next day it was even darker. I would suggest testing again tomorrow morning!
I'm 12 DPO. I keep getting the test down from on top of the fridge and having another look. I hid it there in case anyone comes over and accidentally sees it. I think it might be positive. I can see it a little better now.
Have you got any other brands that you can test again with?? Lots of people seem to get BFP at 12 dpo so its quite possible. I have my :crossfingers: for you.
This is a different brand than what I normally use but I was thinking of going out and getting another test. Or I might get DH to pick up one on the way home so I can do it with him here.

AFM: I had my eyebrows waxed & eyelashed tinted this morning, part of my whole trying to make myself feel good again project, which is working by the way!! i finshed my antibiotics on saturday after like 17 days, its so nice to be regaining my taste again instead of the awful taste they gave me. I have my ob appointment tomoro so hopefully that goes smoothly and i get the all clear. feel like AF could be on her way, which is exciting, i would love her to come exactly 28 days after the d&c. DH and i are going away from sat-wed on a little get away, i can't wait, it's exactly what we need. Anyway i could blabber on all day, hope everyone is well!! :)
Sammy P: It is sounding very likely! A friend of mine had only a shadow where the positive line should be and so tested the next day (as she wasn't convinced) and got a definite BFP. Test first thing tomorrow and let us all know. With all of my BFN's I have looked from every angle, held them up to different lights etc and they still were definite -ve. I will wait until tomorrow before I start with my congratulations although I have a feeling it will be needed.

Hi girl's just a quicky before work i have been emailing all the poly's today about the medicare cut's to ivf that are supose to be decided on this week .
Sammy-as far as i'm concerned a line is a line however faint it means the test can detect the hcg hormone i have only ever had a line if i am pregnant it might be just a bit early so very faint but my fingers are crossed for you.
I rang DH and asked if he could buy another test on the way home and he said "well don't use them all at once this time". I wish he could be less practical and more emotional. I felt like hanging up on him.

Sammy- I am praying that it really is a BFP! I just wanted to share this... a couple months before we conceived our second angel, I took a test and it came up negative. Well, about an hour later, I looked at it again just to be sure (isn't it silly how obsessive we can get?) and there was a line there. After much research, I found out that if the line shows up after the amount of time specified (usually 5-10 minutes) then it is invalid. I didn't want to believe that at the time, but sure enough AF showed up a couple days later. I am really really hoping and keeping my fingers crossed that it is a BFP though! I just wanted to share my own experience because a lot of women don't believe that a false line can show up once in a while if you wait long enough. I'll be thinking of you and PRAYING you get a darker line when your DH gets home! And I know what you mean about him being too practical. Mine is exactly the same way. That's why I had to stock up on cheap tests from ebay.
SammyP: oooh im so excited to know! -=- btw i also have had a faint positive b4 after a while of looking at it that was false.. so it can happen, but its unlikely, usually a line means a baby hormone :D I soo wanna find out now! Tell us as soon as u know! LOL at ur DH, men really are out of the loop sometimes! Next time he gets a 6 pack and some friends over, tell him DONT DRINK THEM ALL AT ONCE THIS TIME!

AFM-=- Im excited today, for a little tmi, me and dh have been doing alot of dancing the last few days as i knew i was about to O.. Anywho I have a maybe baby (saliver tester) that came up more positive today than ive ever seen! Its so nice to know that im ovulating! So our timeing lately couldnt have been better, Heres hopeing I get a nice big fat bfp for this by the end of the month.. Now that I know this i just know the TWW starting next week is going to be long and aggitating hehehe and ill be doing a million tests by the end of it... wish me luck!
