ferrals, im cd40 today, my longest cycle so far since ttc has been 42 days, and i tested last night with a fr and it was bfn.
My cycles ahve been 28, 32, 35, 42, 40, bfp, mc, atm cd40 with 5/6 days on of spotting or pink tinge cm, and more cm than i had after my bfp last cycle.
So im still in limbo, and i dont like it! (i like to be in control)

I am back to working 7 days a week and I now have a really bad cold (swine flu? lol) and can take stuff for it if I want and that annoys me...I want to be preg again and be stuck with feeling like crap!
oh well, I guess all of that is why we are all in here. I think I am just tired. I went from M/C straight back into working 7 days (its only been 3 weeks) and apart from an occasional whinge on here I don't really get to express my feelings. Want to talk to DB but we just never seem to have the time anymore. I'm always at work.
Someone asked where I got the preg tests - from Oracle fertility off eBay. Am hoping to use one and get my bfp but same issue...no time to dtd when I work in town all week and am only home weekends.
SOrry no personals...I'm tired grumpy and just wanted to whinge.
As frustrating sa they are to see because they are not mine I hope to see many BFP turning up over the next month...it gives hope that it will happen.
Hi all, thanks so much for your messages yesterday. I was out of action for the day as we were on the go all day and had friends around til 11:30 last night. Totally knackered today! In the morning I ended up going back to bed and waking up DH and telling him he's going to be a daddy (my kids are to prev partner), he was so excited.
Ferrals - you asked for an opinion yesterday and I feel the urge to give one. If it was me, and I had the cash to do the procedure, I'd probably give it a serious shot. I know the chances of successful implantation are much smaller than a happy outcome with natural conception, however, having seen you go through the trauma of having to decide to terminate Abbi, I don't think I could personally go through that a second and possibly third or more time. I guess, when you look at how long it's taken to conceive at all, a 40% chance of successful implantation is not so bad, especially since you would know already that the embryo is healthy.
As for the people who are having a go at you, I agree with what has been said, it's your life and your decision (along with your DH and existing children) and they are clearly right there with you through this process so no-one who matters is upset about you trying.
Clearly, the decision of which way to go is yours and DH's. My thoughts and prayers are with you while you make this decision. Ultimatelly, what you chose will be right for you and it will be something that is not entered into lightly. :hug:
Anila - sorry to hear you're still getting bfn. I had hoped we could move through together. I guess I want to move through with all of you as it seems so unfair for everyone to be stuck without their baby's growing inside.
tinar = that's a pretty tough routine for you! I wish you could have had some time to relax and come to terms, at least a little, with what has happened to you. I do hope that, even with such a hectic schedule, you're able to get that little egg very soon.
eliselouise - sorry you've had to join this forum but you will be so very well supported here. The last month or so that I have been in here I have met the most beautiful women who have helped me through a very tough time. Good luck with your baby.

AFM - making an appointment tomorrow to go and see the gp and get bt done after my last exam on Tuesday morning. I meant to ring yesterday but we were so busy I forgot until after lunch time and they close at 12 on Saturday.
Well still no af for me and all spotting or lack there of has definatly gone, i only have 1 test left so im saving it for as long as i can.

I have some great news! I FINALLY found a FS in newcastle and I have an appointment for the 26th of this month! :confetti: Also DH is getting his swimmers tested today but im worried because we havent bd for a while and he hasnt "self serviced" so hoping it wont matter too much, if it does he might have to retest boooo..
I have my gynae appt on monday too and i think my best friend from Mackay will be flying down especially to come with me :)
Hope everyone is doing well. i ordered my month of OPK and HPT POAS yesterday so im set for the month and Im trying to think of something positive if my life every day because I have been really really depressed. So...today the positive thing is, my cat Coco is being very lovey dovey towards me which is odd *ok i know she is just cold* and i have a chicken in the slow cooker :)

I'm sort of in limbo at the moment. I miscarried at the end of May and now I am just waiting for my first period. My doctor doesn't want me to begin trying again until I have had had one cycle. How long have others had to wait for their first period? Does it take a bit longer than normal?

Sammy P: My dr's told me to wait 3 months before trying, but I didn't. Needless to say, I haven't got pregnant and my cycles are obviously still regulating. Every woman is different but I would suggest listening to your dr. Sorry for your loss though. I hope that in time you areable to find the strength to move forward.
AFM: Im like you Anila, waiting! Thought RB would be here by now. My first cycle after d&c was 15 days,2nd cycle was 24 days, 3rd cycle was 30 days and my average cycle used be 32 days. Hmmm. Haven't tested in 2 days and too scared too. No symptoms so no point I gather.

Hi Sammy, welcome and sorry for your loss. It's different for each woman when AF returns. For me, I had a very easy (?!?!?!) MC. It was like a normal period but excruciatingly painful and ridiculously heavy. I then went immediately back into my normal cycle of 28 days. I waited one cycle, didn't try the first month, mostly because I had no idea what would happen re ovulating etc. and have managed to just get my BFP on Saturday morning!
It may be dependent on how regular your cycle is or any number of other factors but unfortunately, it's impossible to say for sure. I hope you don't have to wait too long for AF and that your BFP comes soon on it's heels. :hug:
hi Sammy, sorry for your loss hun, i do hope u can find some support and comfort here, as for the af, well im still waiting, im cd 42 today since i lost my angel, i had spotting 7 days ago, but nothing since, and right now my boobs have started hurting, i got a bfn today, so i hope it means that af is on the way.
Hi Sammy, So sorry you have to be here. I M/C on the 20/4 (but didn't stop bleeding until 11/5), I am still waiting for AF to arrive (getting very frustrating).
Was wondering if any1 here has taken Primolut? I M/C just before leaving for an OS holiday and my doc gave me Primolut to take with me if a didn't stop bleeding by day 7. Well i didn't and so I took the tablets until the 5/5 when we came home. The tablets did stop the bleeding however when I went off them it started again then finished on 11/5.
No AF since. I am starting to think the meds have stuffed up my cycle. I thought I O'd the weekend B4 last however no sign of AF on her way or BFP.
If any1 has any info on this medication and it's effect on future cycles it would be great. Thanks

Anila - could it be implantation? My first cycle post m/c was long - it took almost 2 weeks later to ov than usual, so do you know when you ov'd? It's not over for you yet, you may still be in with a chance!
Greenslw - hope your u/s goes well!
Sammy - my dr told me just to have one normal period (to be sure that everthing had come out - mine was a natural m/c). It did take a bit longer for me to ovulate (see note to Anila above!) because it took a while for all the pg hormones to drop (you won't ovulate while you still have HCG and other hormones in circulation). If you count the start of my cycle as when my hormones had dropped, not when I started bleeding, then my cycle returnted to normal right away. But if you include the bleeding, it was 2 weeks longer it usually is.
Zacsmum - I'm not familiar with that medication, sorry.
AFM - I begin the 2WW.
Chart question: This was the first month I temped. I previously had used CM and calendar, and then had used OPKs, but this month had tried temping and fertility monitor. Fertility monitor was great, and in line with what i had learned previously from CM and OPKs, but temping - my temps are all over the place, and if you look at my temps, you can't tell a difference at all! Has anyone else got a chart that looks like nothing? Or who's really clever with charts that can have a look at it for me? (i'm new on the fertilty friend, so I'm not even sure I have the settings right!)

AFM feel a bit in limbo, not sure if I am TWW or not as didnt have a normal RB, just 6 weeks of non-stop, every cramp I have I'm thinking hmmm I am O'ing? am BDing every other day anyway- can't hurt right? and DH is happy after so long with RB being a nuisance! Sorry TMI!
milly - all I can suggest re charting temps is to make sure you're doing it the second you wake up and before you even move!!! Try to keep it as close to the same time each day and, if you can't find consistency and are doing it orally, maybe next month try vaginally. I temped vaginally this month and was really surprised to see consistency once I was temping at the same time each day. This was my first month temping. The other thing is that FF will look for more consistency than normal since it is your first month temping so it may not pick up the pattern til quite late. It tried to tell me I O'd at day 23 I think it was but I overrode it because I knew I O'd much earlier. (ps. an uneducated guess would be you maybe O'd on CD11 as there is a temp drop the day before and CM fits in with that day as a possibility as well. Coco is the chart queen tho!)
KM1 - hope you're in the TWW!! It's frustrating not knowing what's happening with your cycle.
sunny - sorry hon... But still, I can't give up for you because AF hasn't arrived yet!

Milly Im not sure what the monitor goes off but I would say you ovulated on day 12-13. I know there is a lower temp at day 10 followed by a rise but the one on day 12 and the following days after that look more accurate!
You will most likely find out tmo on FF. I temp vaginally and I find a better consistancy with it, a clearer pattern what not. I dont use an alarm to wake up, I use my body clock, I find that if i am startled when waking, like with an alarm my temps are alot lower than normal. So I just go off whatever time i get up..its usually the same time within half hour or so each day.
Something you can do to cheat?? Put a temp in for tmo and see if it says you have ovulated...your setting should be on advanced. I have used the OPK setting before also and that is pretty much the same for me, consistant.

I think the fertility monitor workds like the OPKs and tests the hormone levels.
I had been reading the Tony Welscher book (can't spell it, but you know the one I mean??) and it did say that if your EWCM comes in a big glob (as does mine) that it can seem a bit dry afterwards (as I do - sorry if TMI), so before I had the OPKs DH and were BD and stopping too early - before ov, so that was the good think about the OPKs, that we were able to time it abit better.
I had thought about temping vaginally, but isn't it a bit cold in the morning - LOL! I work some funny hours and get up quite early so can't always temp at the same time, which is why I hadn't done it before. I have been temping anywhere between 4.00 and 6.00 am workdays, and boy do I love a day off, sleep in to 7.30 or even 8.00!
I did buy a thermometer with only 1 dec place, so do I need to get a more accurate one perhaps (that's why I switched it to F rather that C, because the celcius chart had 2 dec places).
I think I ov'd on day 14 as I had pain some pain that I think was ov pain - but I can't be sure, I had never felt it before last cycle. But I agree, the temps don't look right for that and look like I would have ov'd much earlier, which is why I am so confused.
I did try and put in a temp for tomorrow coco, I used the same as today's, and it didn't give me an ov day, so I guess I just wait and see.
It's all very technical isn't it? And to think that we all just used to think that you just had a shag and if you weren't careful - 9 mo later ...
Finally! I have caught up on all the posts! I have been MIA all weekend, dh & I went camping for 3 night and just got back today after lunch...

Milly I agree with smallfry about the temping... I have found that even 1/2 an hour either side of 6am can make a big difference to my temp so if you are consisstant you should get correct results. HTH
KM1 & Sunny thanks for thinking of me... It was great to get away and I am feeling heaps better.... My bleeding stopped pretty much by Sat morning and I guess I have recovered... We got home and had a spa which was heaven and I am feeling positive about everything... dh wants to ttc again, despite my attitude a few days ago I am actually physically and emotionally ready to go again... BUT I am so calm about it all that I would like to wait a couple of months and really put an effort and commitment into loosing weight and getting a bit fitter 1st... I kinda feel like there isn't any rush now. Having said that we will still 'try' but I will just go by my CM and OPK and only dtd right on ovulation... if we get a bfp than great but I wont be worried if I don't. I hope God dam RB stays away for both of you!
ferrals I looove that dream! It must be a sign honey! all those opinionated people can get stuffed! You can have as many babies are you like and I totally agree about all the junkies and doll bludgers being able to breed :rolleyes: Your question about IVF or natural conception.... I don't know? I would be looking at how long it has taken me to fall pregnant and the odds of everything, my age etc etc.... I guess the cost too? Sorry I'm not much help.

eliseouise I'm glad you found your way over here and Sammy :hello: Not sure if it's still relevant to you eliseouise but my bleeding started Sat, I passed the embryo on Monday and the bleeding stopped by Sat morning... Regarding ttc: after my D&C I was told that we 'could' ttc at any time, I got pregnant after my first af but as you can see that ended badly but it had nothing to do with conceiving after only one AF... We are going to try again straight way but I am not too concerned if it doesn't happen that quickly again... Good luck and I am very sorry for both of your losses :grouphug:

Anila - It must be really frustrating to wait that long for AF. One of my problems in TTC is that the older I get the longer my cycle seems to go for. I went from a 28 day regular cycle for most of my adult life to between 31 and 36. It's really hard plot the right days to conceive when things drag on so long. In the old days telling DH we have to have sex every day for a couple of weeks would have brought a smile to his face - now he visibly cringes!
Milly - That make sense about the hormones. I know that mine were low last week but still slightly raised. I took a blood test Friday and I need to ring for the results tomorrow so hopefully they will say the levels are back to normal and my body might resume the cycle.

quick question...I mc on 25th May and am not sure when cycle will go back to normal...here comes the tmi section, my cm seems egg-white today and we dtd last night but i am in town this week and cant again :wall: if i am o'ing chances are ok aren't they since swimmers can last up to 3 days? I guess I may be in the tww :)
I really hope we all get BFP together, it would be nice to share the journey with all of you that I feel a weird bond with (weird because we have never physically met).

Hi Tina, When I charted my cycle straight after my D&C in March I ovulated on CD21, when I got my BFP on the next cycle I also ovulated around CD21.... hmmmmm not sure how that helps you :lol: OK I think your body could totally be ovulating around now... Do you chart? either way EWCM is the best to keep those spermies :whip: alive in there while they wait for the egg and you are considered 'fertile' until you dry up down there so you are totally in with a chance! I expect that I will ovulate and be back to normal before af arrives so there is no reason why you wouldn't be too HTH xo

milly - I found that my bladder woke me consistently so didn't need to use an alarm as I could guarantee it would wake me... was hard to temp when busting sometimes though!!
heheheh smallfry, sometimes I would wake up at 5 or 5:30 BUSTING! but I wouldn't get up to pee because it would muck up my temp! that is how I know that the temp varies so much from 5am -6am etc because I would take my temp when I woke up and then tried to say really still cause I was busting :rofl: For conception reasons you really only need to temp just before ovulation so you can see the dip and rise etc and than a few days after ovulation to make sure you have had the rise... So really only about a week... For me I took my temp for longer because I was addicted to it ! :lol:

Milly5-temping has been a bit of a nightmare for me it goe's up after i ov but i usually have 2 dips in temp before i ov so can be a bit missleading so i use opk's aswell but i get a positive result with them 5 days in a row so i just wing it when the test is pos i BD for a few days and hope i get that egg

TinaR-i never i mean never have the ew cm when i get close to ov and during ov it is just watery but i use to get ew cm when i was in my teenage years the doctor said i have a tilted uterus to the right and it also retroverted i was told because my pelivic floor muscles are so strong i was told to not do so many i wonder if that effects my cm.

Well im on day 23 so 5 days until i can test i havn't thought to much about it until last night and today i have been having really watery cm and lots of it not usual for me but no other symptoms little bit of period like pains but we all know that can mean nothing
hahahaha love it cherished!! I took it religiously every day since it was only this month that I have temped. Was fortunate to have a bladder that worked like a clock but can totally understand the lying still thing! Except I found that if I didn't take it as soon as I woke, that's when the difference in temp was the biggest.
ferrals - I had HEAPS of watery cm around that time this month. And, for me also unusual. :crossfingers:
Ferrals - have my :crossfingers: that in 5 days you get that great BFP!!
Wow - this temping thing sounds like hard work. I haven't tried it (yet) although the idea of a cold thermometer at 5am when it is about -2c does not sound like fun lol...the things we do!
I am pretty sure I am/have o'd but very slim chances due to only that one bd the day before...still in the 2ww and probably just as stressful lol.
Anila - any results yet? I haven't seen a post with a definite either way yet :)
Zacsmum - I was given those tablets I think when i used to have the depo needle. They will stop rb but I think with mc there are much stornger hormones that override it. If things haven't settled down I'd go back to doc. I've had a solid 2wk bleed with a mc before but they like to keep an eye on it if its heavy...sorry if not much help.
KM & Milly - I guess we are in the 2ww together...:pray: for three BFP very soon for us :)
I had a big spack at DB yesterday..yet ANOTHER friend announced preg at 2 mths. Told him I'm so cranky, jealous and quite frankly @*$^@*^ off. He said 'push through it, it'll get better!' HUH??? I reaacted in a complely rational caring way to his idea of being supportive and then later had to apologise for way I said stuff but I still agree with what I said.
Smallfry - I don't know how everyone else feels but I wil presume they will agree....feel free to drop in and see us and impart your words of wisdom and encouragement, as hard as it is to hear from people we see I find it encouraging to hear that your preg is prgressing well so far, its hope that it just may happen.

tinar - thanks hon. I know from my own experience that it's bittersweet seeing people come back in and post, I always wanted to know how they were going but it also made me feel that tiny bit sad about it not being me. I'm so afraid to tell people in case it jinxes it all as I told everyone last time and two days later woke up bleeding heavily at the in-laws house thanking my lucky stars that they normally have kids in that double bed so it was plastic lined so didn't damage the mattress. DH immediately cleaned it all up and put the sheets in the wash for me the darling. It was the sweetest thing he could have ever done.
This pg feels like a keeper but then, which ones don't? Both my sister's know and I got to have a chat with my eldest yesterday which was fantastic, it made it feel more real but I do struggle to talk about it in terms of it existing for real. Maybe the doc this afternoon will change that? I hope so. Anyway, have decided 2 1/2 weeks and if all is still well, we'll disclose our secret as that will put me at 8 weeks and I feel comfortable about that. Most of the time...
This place has been such a haven of peace for me over the last couple of months. It feels like I have been in here so much longer than that but in reality, I only signed up 2 months and 2 days ago. Thank you all for your words of comfort and encouragement, I can't express my gratitude enough and find myself in tears just thinking about how much this journey has been helped by all of you.
So, before I totally lose it will shut down and head off to my exam, which I know I will fail but I only have to get 3 points out of 25 to pass the semester. I figure if i pass the semester that's all I care about - so much has made it a write off that I just want to pass.
Sorry it's been so much about me this morning, feeling pretty emotional. Really hanging out for some bfps from in here soon.

Anila- cd42 may mean that you did not ovulate unless your chart clearly says you did. On months where I don't o my 31-34 day cycle blows out to 46 days. I got to cd48 even with o this cycle after m/c. Hope it sorts itself out soon babe.
Ferrals- :crossfingers: for your testing in 4 days. To your earlier question I would definitely be keeping trying naturally, the odds are much in your favor and you have every right to have a baby.:bluedust:

AFM - can I have a silly moan? I am so cold, and I am soooooo hanging out for a coffee!!!!!!! I want to put the percolator on. I even opened the fridge to smell the fresh coffee beans. I haven't had a coffee for a few weeks now, so its not as if I am in withdrawl, I just like coffee, and am sick of herbal teas. I usually like herbal teas, and would normally have one in the evening, but coffee is for day time and part of studying, and I am missing it.
Re the temping, my temp was back up today, but FF still hasn't told me I've ov'd. I had a shocking nights sleep, and couln't work out if I should temp when I get up to the loo at midnight, at 4.00 when DH got up, or at 7.00 when I was planning to get up. I decided to leave it till 7.00, becasue I was just too busting at midnight, and too tired and cold at 4.00(from not sleeping), but then the phone rang at 6.45, so I had to get out of bed to get it, so don't think my temp was too crash hot today! I think the monitor is fairly accurate, so I'm glad I had that to go by.
I just want a coffee, a nice hot big tall freshly ground home perc'd one..........

I am wondering if any of you know anything about lunar cycles? I want to know if it is BS or not.
I have been having ovulation like pains since 7dpo last cycle...and then my af was fairly quick and my cramps were almost non existant unlike normally, and anyway, I have still got ovary pains..mainly on left side. I dont know what they're from because its way to early for me to be ovulating then i saw something about lunar cycles and having more than one fertile window in the cycle...I also am skeptical and think its another way to make money off women who are desperate to be pregnant.

milly - have you considered decaf? Or perhaps a blend of decaf and normal coffee? I figure since minimal amounts are ok, I regularly drink decaf (water decaffienated) and when, every couple days, I'm desperate for a coffee to wake up, I blend a tiny bit of real coffee in when I'm making it (I use an italian coffee maker with the most awesome blend... drooool!) I seriously miss it though.
coco - have heard of lunar cycle but not sure that I put much cred in it and of course, it always costs to learn more about it! Maybe see if you can track down a book from your local library if you can be bothered. What I've found about it on the internet seems a little fairytale. Hey, I thought you weren't temping this month? ;) lol it's irresistable isn't it? I'm still temping...!
